one of the problems with any Superman movie is that mere mortals such as us have such a hard time connecting to a character that is, besides kryptonite of course, entirely invincible. one of the reasons that smallville was so popular was because superman, then clark kent, was presented in a much more human way; we were able to feel for the character...only when hollywood manages to fix this will a superman movie truly be worthy of such a title

This Superman movie is full of darkness, contrasts and shadows. Like in horror or mystery movie. I think this is the major mistake of creators. The Superman movies with Christopher are full of light with small amount of shadows. Dark movies look depressive, what is in contrast with Superman character which is hopefull and amazing.

The major problem with Superman Returns is that for all intents and purposes, it played out almost like a remake of the original Christopher Reeves classic.. and such a classic doesn't NEED to be remade.

We should have had a more true to the comic film, with powerful villains and plenty of action. Oh, and "Superkid" was a real mistake.
