I like to consider myself the biggest Temptation fan in the world at 47 years of age.

Melvin was shot during the 1970's, this video was shot during the 1980's.

Melvin was hospitalized many times during the 1980's for many reasons, most notably for the flesh eating disease that he developed as a result of many years of injections into his legs (knees) to ease the pains associated with dancing, which later claimed his life, you can do a search on the internet for this information.

Much of the storyline in the movie was false, many lawsuits were filed!

Richard has a nice voice, but he wasn't right for this song. He put that rough singing in it when David or even Ali sang it smooth like a true ballad.

@josiefogg1 For sure. It is easy for his talents to get lost in the shuffle of 23 Tempts, but his versatility and showmanship were outstanding. I hated it when I found out he was gone, but we fans lucked out when Ron discovered Theo.
