Ron Paul supporters were active all throughout the Bush years, promoting a departure from fiat currency, and a return sensible foreign policy and limited constitutional government. These are not racists -- if Obama supported their views, he'd be a superstar!
The flip-side is the numb-scull Faux Noozers, egged-on by shills like O'Reilly and Beck, who promote Trotskyites like Palin, Romney, Huckabee, etc. For them, a return to Bush would be just peachy.
I have been to a few of the parties. I can conclude that our common bond is the Bill Of Rights aka the first ten amendments to the Constitiution if the United States.
Bottom line, they are not about race or party politics, theese are about being responsible stewards of your money.Unfortunately, it also comes up that as Americans, we will be giving up the same Bill Of Rights to an international body. That is simply unamerican.
Also..I agree some of these people are just redneck sore losers at these tea parties..But I think many are like me, that fell the bailouts and Stimulus spending was rushed though under the cloud of CRISIS, just like Bush rushed the war on us..And it pisses me off too..You know state controlled capitalism really is Fascism and people are seeing this..That's why many are at these tea parties..And the truth is BUSH started this..But Obama isn't CHANGING.we are still Nation building and porking away
I think my biggest disappointment in our leaders the last 25 years..Is the lazy and corrupt ways they bring the bacon home without going to work for us. They just wait till there's an important bill that needs them to sign off on..Then they add there little attachment to it..Both sides are guilty of this! Its so wasteful and not right..And none of them will do anything about it..Because they would have to go to work ! They like to play us against each other as a smoke screen..Some of us see this
I'm glad the first amendment works, and I defend these people as I would if anybody on anything speaking out. I wanted Ron Paul to win because he was the only one out of all that gets it. The Nation Building and corruption on the 2 corrupt parties that run this Country...have been so against the common middle class. I think finally some are waking up, Some don't get it, they just are sore losers. We have gotten so far away from the Constitution and allowed this to happen it maybe to late..
So so true U! I just had to look around at the goers and protesters to the tea party and wonder how better time could've been spent perhaps improving the areas they live in doing some volunteer work. Coming up with a consensus for all of the parties interested. We have to realize that there is a strength in numbers, but solidarity will take us even further.
