Looks quite nummy! Think I'm going to do something similar, but I have peaches... and some vanilla ice cream to serve with it. OMG yummy! :D Thanks for sharing!
little story: once tried making syrup for my pancakes because we were out. i had seen my mom make it before by using a sugar, water and a tad of butter. yeah, i tried and failed miserably. i left the sugar on the heat so long, i stuck the spoon on the pan forever. never was able to remove it. we had to throw away the entire thing. in my defense, i was 12-ish. i would try this but i'm afraid the same thing would happen LOL.
wow that looks good ... if i'm seeing correctly, i think maybe your puff pastry sheets are folded (usually they come folded in thirds) and can be unfolded when thawed ... and then they can be rolled out more like a pie crust ... would change the flavor though! looks good :) ... xoxo
Hi Gary! Ran out to the store and got the ingredients....made your "tartan" with a pear and an apple. It just finished baking and I couldn't resist a quick taste....it IS delicious!!!!
Along the the Carbonara recipe it would be the tastiest dinner ever!
mama<-----next time put it in a square glass pan and the puff pastry will fit the top w/o cutting. it sure looks good. brown sugar with pineapple/apple would be good too. thanks for cooking.!!
Well neither. It's called tarte TATIN after the two ladies who made it famous, Stephanie and Caroline Tatin, in France. But who cares, 'round here, it's gonna be called Tarte Capricorn from now on!
It looks delicious Gary!! I'm going to try it today.....one question: when you put it in the oven did you broil it or bake it (350 degrees) and for how long? GREAT RECIPE!
Make your first one with the pasta and always enjoy eating that one too!
Oh gosh! I HATE all of his stupid voices! I'd slap him if I was a chick. Chut up already! Haha
