That is how I came to understand God, I was in a lucid dream, it went on for a long time, everything was real, food you can bite into and furniture has weight when you pick it up and people appear real , and make sense in relating to you ,and you examine the body you have in the dream, and there are stars in the skies, and then you see , I knew I was the Mind making this dream , and I was acting then as a God, making worlds real, and so I learned that before this world was, WAS GOD !!!
People cannot understand what I am saying, until they are very spiritual, and take to having LUCID dreams that in the time they exist, they appear exactly as real as this present yet passing away world appears, where things are hard and you can examine and study issues and you also become aware to think " Hey, I am having this dream and WOW, everything feels so real, if this dream lasted a very long time, I would have to adapt to it as the reality, what choice would I have? Notions of God.
If a square piece of land is measured out on the face of the Earth , but the Earth is actually curved . Then any Cartographer will discover he cannot produce the square property again on the surface of any flat map. What is squared is distorted by the continuum of space being curved. So, those who say " you cannot square a circle" etc. they are ignorant persons with no Physical Sciences Education. Once you draw a line between two points in space, it is the arc then of an circle.
@kennethhennig Since Space is always curved, the concept of the Square only exists in one moment of time ,since if you extend the straight lines of any square, but do so in the reality of the Universe ,the lines must curve and form a circle, or become part of a round pictogram of many circles or a large ball with Bubbles . There are no straight lines in space, if you add time to the design. So a Circle is what any square must become if the matter is extended by considerable time .
Divinity = STUFF THAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF. The Big Bang proved the world does not owe it's design to Materialism, Matter holds no evolving powers to bring forth sentience or conscious life. Rather, the theory of God takes things exactly the reverse of the Atheist failure to explain reality. We take the Sublime BEHAVIOR of Intelligent Notions as something existing before Matter and intersecting the material world to reveal the higher power of the Mind of God, where Thoughts are Things.
The the methodology of the Atheist used to be , first we have a Steady State Material Universe that is Eternal to itself and out of it's own property came the emergent quality of behavior called Life, then ultimately Consciousness. But since the Big Bang ruined the Atheist world view, then seeing things the old way ,we start with a Vast Intelligent Behavior apart from Materialism that is GOD the MIND and in that Mind comes Creations , doing exactly what we humans do, create worlds as DREAMS
In the human mind, any or all possible worlds do exist, have time to exist and have purpose valued at least to the being who find themselves appearing as a person because of the living mind as it behaves. A cycle of the Universe being the Eternal and giving birth to Intelligence, has been proven false by the Big Bang. but we know as individual human beings , that having a mind means we go forth to create many more worlds and each is the product of Intelligent Notions that appear as DREAMS
The Materialist Atheist simply denounces the concept of the Conscious Mind as some "emergent reality out of matter" While the Theist is clearly saying the Conscious State is the God over the Matter. The Steady State Eternity is not material, yet behavioral as a living mind is. God is outside the Universe, seeing inwardly and projecting by power of Intelligent Notions of Behavior as existing as the Prime Mover, not the "emergent reaction" Intelligence existed before the Big Bang !!
If one makes the equitable parity of the human mind, and the Mind of God, they will at least begin to understand, whether believing or not, to see, at least what we Theists are talking about. The Living Mind of God, is having then a massive dream state, where the Big Bang spreads out as the Universe , while the Mind of God then moves through it, anywhere, anytime and can appear as anything at any time and even show Himself as Jesus Christ , God appearing inside His Domain. God is the MIND !
The very parable of God as a Mind, that is the Intelligent Notion that parents forth the Creation ,is a model of reality based on the simile of human nature of the Mind. You support the dream world with part of your mind. You move around the dream world, as dividing your identity away from the whole mind and so you can appear inside the world you dream of ,and even project to see yourself as a particular person appearing in the dream. God does this, this is what we Believe is GOD.
@kennethhennig The nature of intelligent notions surpasses all time and space limitations, When you dream, your same mind surrounds the dream to cause it be a creation for a time, just as this universe is subject to time and then ends. While your mind surrounds the dream, it also indwells the things in the dream world, and out of anything anywhere, any object can exude your identity. Behold, you project and see yourself in your dream, you see your SELF, with others around you, 3=1
The Old Lady’s TORTOISE (Hinduism) and DRAGON (Taoism) are symbols for WAVE (energy), both are analog with MAGEN DAVID (Judaism). "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is the metaphor, and also similar with allegory of rituals Thawaf circling around the Ka'ba and Sa’i oscillating along “the sinus” Marwah-Shafa during the Hajj pilgrimage (Abraham). YIN-YANG: energy-particle . CROSS (Christian) and SWASTIKA (Buddhism) are symbols for “Balance of Nature.”
@Hope2009pc God did not create Himself, that anything was new to Him. God is behaving as our own minds do, taking it's own property, which to us is unimaginable since it involves Ideas and Notions of Immaterial sense, but yet the Mind is the Eternal Steady State of the God, who is having a massive imploding Dream State, by His Placebo of Mind , He pleases to think the world and as the power of mind does, it acts to create materially the thought into matter. God is dreaming about us.
I hope I explained how the same brain you have can divide itself or be Divine to play many roles intertwined so as to present a dreamscape as real as this world and while the mind surrounds the dream ,it also pervades inwardly to indwell everything materially appearing in the dream and at that, you have this core sense of Identity in the mind that projects into a person within the dream and you end up seeing yourself. This is why the Trinity is used, One Being divides into many persons.
@Hope2009pc nothing is impossible with God!Evidence is like this far away from you, google" archeology proves the Bible true",find all the evidence there ,watch this video i found it with google ,you see if you wanted to find the truth you would find it ,God loves those who love HIM,seek GOD and you will find GOD ,people simply don't find God because in their hearts they don't want to!
@Hope2009pc God @ all Angels are refered to as males in nature i.e. Jesus called God - father, also angels are called sons of the true God - the female became a new creation - to procreate with the male.Angels cannot procreate in thier natural state . .On another topic God calls himself The Ancient Of Days - this indicates time always existed . .Another topic - nothing is impossible for God becos he transcends both space @ time @ power . . also God`s awareness, power is everywhere but not himself
Six Thousand Years of Earth time , can be by Relativity, the equal to trillions of years going by, in some other area of the Universe, because space time is spherically curved and time is not a constant. Thus , the Bible, because it equates Time and Distance to a human measure, is not necessarily wrong, because somewhere in the Universe, it is still the first day, and time has not transpired uniformly everywhere , and some places are very young , because Time is an Illusion, not Fact.
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident."(Psalm 27: 1, 3)
You can find the evidence that God exists inside the crippled body of this guy... he is pathetic as all atheists are. Greetings from a former atheist who discovered how blind and full of hatred atheism is....
@MegaSage007 .....Nothing written in the Mythological Fiction of the Bible... can even begin to cover what amazing scientific truths that have been discovered by man up to this present moment in time...Give us this day...TOTAL RELIGIOUS AMNESIA.
@guitarpicka1 Well religion is manmade, but God is the Prime Mover of all of the Universe; so your science is not going to be very scientific is you don't include the supremely intelligent designer of it all in it. You do see the Universe was designed by a Supreme Being, don't you?
@MegaSage007 .....What confuses me is ....Was God Inside the Pre Big Bang pinhead...or was he/she/or/it in the space surrounding it...???? My memory has let me down `cause after all it was 13.5 Billion Light Years Ago..!!!
Shall I fill in the missing pieces to your puzzle? You are Romans 1:28/32. Read those texts and you will know the truth about yourself, and as to what confuses you? Well, your rebellion cast a spell over your mind.
@DataJackOne The microchips in my computer didn't just happen, and for no reason, and neither did it's sub atomic particles. Calling people "uneducated' won't work period. That's cop out no one is going to dummy down to. Real science IS great, not this non sense.
@DataJackOne So that's really the bottom line and motivation for the false claims of of the whole thing, then. Deceived people observing the creation and misunderstanding what they are seeing and insisting that "God said, Let there be.... and there was", couldn't possibly be.
@DataJackOne I know what QM means. No one needs a so called "education" that's based on false information. Even you know by what you said that it's foolishness. There is no such thing as "evidence" for something that's impossible, and to say otherwise is to lie, practice dishonesty, or make a fool of yourself. This stuff is not science. it's philosophy.
@DataJackOne I have enough brains in my head to know that something can't just come from nothing for no reason. If QM said it did than QM is wrong. If the info in one's education is false, then that person "education" is worthless.
High IQ or not, if Mr Hawking had any brains in his head, he would know nothing can come from nothing all by itself for no reason. He's an educated fool with out a drop of common sense to his credit.
thank God we do not have to be a scientist to know God created the world we live in. Anyone can look outside of their window anywhere in the world and see everything was made wondrusly by God Almighty and His Omnipotent Power with Infinite Wisdom far above that of mankind; so it is an error for anyone to let themselves be dragged into science which is unable to prove or disprove God. Seek the Lord and you will find Him.
@radioactiveego If the godless test our IQ we score low. If we test your IQ we find you were given sufficient intelligence to see God created the Universe and so we know you have no excuse (Romans 1:20) for not serving the Lord with us.
@radioactiveego The Universe is all the evidence you need to see only an Omnipotent God Almighty with Infinite Understanding and OmniPresence could establish it. All you have to do is find out Who he is.
This is creatively called 'god of the gaps' meaning that since science cannot explain everything (yet), you insert some magic person. This is not logical.
@radioactiveego I appreciate your candor but I am not collapsing onto a God did it because I know of no other explanation. The innumerable self sustaining systems of the finely tuned Universe are miraculous. Man can't design and install systems he can walk away from. And unintelligent matter energy cannot produce them besides the fact Singularity cannot account for where it gets its matter energy from. I know God. You obviously do not. I explain the evidence. Do with it what you want. I am saved
@radioactiveego The innumerable self sustaining systems of the Universe are evidence of a Supreme Being. Man cannot invent self sustaining systems out of nothingness. In fact man has a very difficult time inventing self sustaining systems out of matter energy already here. The evidence for God is irrefutable. Refute it at your own risk.
@radioactiveego Your rules for logic are going to fail you. The miraculous is not subject to them. The Universe is the result of the miraculous & the finely tuned multi tasking self sustaining innumerable systems functioning thousands to billions of years without an operator, refueling, servicing or maintenance is absolutely irrefutable evidence of the miraculousness of all creation. You can't prove God Almighty didn't do it. The magnitude & brilliance proves He did. Turn to God.
Pick up a physics book sometime. The bible, is not a physics book. It cannot even tell you the correct value of Pi, let alone anything else.
And as for your other comment. A 'god' cannot create a squared circle, or a round triangle, or alter the outcome of 2 + 2 = 4. No matter what you say.
@radioactiveego God doesn't have to do anything to please you, but you would be wise to please Him. As for Him not being able to do what is irrationale. He is unwilling to do anything irrationale, but you unfortunately are willing to argue irrationalities as though they were logically and morally correct. That is why there will be no Atheists in heaven tasting of Paradise.
Considering there's no evidence for anything you say, it's not logical to conclude there is evidence for a heaven or a hell. Atheists aren't going to heaven, because simply put, it doesn't exist. Religion is doctrine, not reality. I am sorry you feel compelled that a book that has horrifying contradictions, logical fallacies, impossibilities should be taken literally.
@MegaSage007 Heheh. How would you define "evil"? Do you consider people morally inferior to you when they refuse to burn witches alive, rape choir boys, start mass-murders called "holy wars" or torture innocent people to death during inquisitions?
Indeed, why is it that religious people are so very often the worst possible examples of the virtues they claim to stand for?
@GluttonForSex You are pro baby killing in the womb and are pro sodomite marriage right? So you have no moral ground to stand on hypocrite. "Get the log out of your eye then come see me about the speck in mine." Jesus
@MegaSage007 Wait. Hold on for a moment. ...letting a woman decide what happens to her own body, or giving all people the basic right to marry whomever they want is, to you, a greater offense than each of those horrific transgressions that religion has caused to humanity over the ages?
Thank you for underlining my point so very clearly. You're an excellent example of how religion indeed is the prime source of hatred, division and violence in all of our lives.
@GluttonForSex You are a classic case of self righteousness. By rebellion against God you have become the moral center of the world in your own darkness of mind. Hypocrite. You accuse me of hatred when I rebuke you in love? Meanwhile you authorize woman too young to know better to kill their babies. You not only hate God unjustifyably whom you say you don't believe in, but do; and you hate innocent children in the womb then proceed to justify sexual perversions as a moral right. You are wicked.
;.I think it may also prove helpful to some of the viewers here to try to evaluate many of the more strident claims of the anti-theist critique ("brights") from a ideological/ metaphysics perspective. Check out the recent article by Jackson Lears in the May 16, 2011 issue of the The Nation entitled "Same Old New Atheism" .The article offers a compelling analysis of Sam Harris' works. Consideration is given to general atheistic social perspectives
@xXSparky117Xx Yup, in the same books of myths and other gods. Hawking believes in God in the sense that Einstein and others do. Dont think for a second they attribute their use of the word " God " to any theistic dogma. God is just a word, like the Higgs Boson, the God Particle.
@thatamazinggeek no, the existence of God could be highly unlikely, but therefore still possible. therefore the existence and non-existence of God does not have to be an equal assumption.
What atheists wont admit is genesis is and will be an issue of faith. Whether you assume there is a god or not, they're equal assumptions. Your arrogance is astounding when you truly have no idea. The ATHEIST FAITH is that what we see in our natural world can truly disprove the existence of anything apart from it. It's obvious logic rules over natural material, this is where we get our sciences. How did this material make itself, how does complete order come from complete chaos, an overseeing kn
@IamtheBest728 knowledge is needed. Atheists call this overseeing power, arrogantly obvious "idea" evolution. Yet you wont speak on how a so called creationist discovered your great theory. Darwin dismissed this debate the instant he created it. Take a nucleus from a cell or a brain from a man and see. Nothing has capability in this world without a thinking mechanism and whether it be a cell, a body, or computer this knowledge is never inherent to the material but always held in a specific form.
but can logic prove God exist? plato or aristotle, descartes and kand and neitzche versus st. thomas of aquino? thomism? or is order, logic, and chance, not divine at all?
@D4K0T4375 - continued.... The electron just dissappears from one orbit and immediately appears in the other. It also tells us that light can decide at any given time to act as a wave, or as a particle. It also tells us that one object can exist in two different places simultaneously. And if you really want to get weird, just look at the theory of entanglement. Science and God do not have to be mutually exclusive.
@D4K0T4375 Sorry, but you can't disprove something with a "best possible guess". That just sounds silly. As far as the physical realm vs. non-physical - in the physical realm, science tells us that electrons in an atom can never be pinpointed to one given place at any one time, there can only be a probability field of many points where each of them might exist. It also tells us that when an electron switches from one orbit to another, it does not go through the space between the two orbits.
God is a human name for a concept of something that is beyond the physical realm. It can have many interpretations. The concept of the "Big Bang", which is that the universe was a singularity, which is basically all matter and energy concentrated in one tiny point, and then it suddenly exploded and expanded to who knows how many light years in less than a second.....that to me is just as crazy and huge of a concept as is the idea of "God".
@mcj3691 except there is no proof of god and the big bang is the best possible guess there is right now. also there is no such thing as a non-physical realm, there is only a physical realm because anything that is non-physical doesn't exist. it is self contradictory.
@nintendogamegeek Has anyone ever stated that only atheists are smart? It is true that the more intelligent a person is, the more likely it is that they are an atheist. Why is this you may ask? Because they have learn to question what they are told and base their beliefs on fact, not fantasy.
Smart scientists---" billions and billions of years ago nothing exploded and orginized itself perfectly into everything and this is fact and if you question this it is because you are not smart like us"
@brandisify Smart scientists---"14 billion years ago a singularity expanded and matter organized itself into stars and galaxies due to gravity and this is fact and if you question this it is because you are mislead by liars"
@MrVigon that is there logic.. we dont know therefore dinosaurs lived along side jimmy nail and newton.. except "we" do know an they are just a step backwards on the evolutionary scale. or 10!
@drjannie I don't know. I know that there are different hypotheses, but I do not understand them and can't judge if any of them are probable. I know Stephen Hawking has talked about it. Also, pure chance is not something bad. Lots of things happen by pure chance all the time.
@brandisify because there is no evidence of what brought it into existence, scientists don't say that it came from "nothing" they say that they don't know where it came from.
@brandisify Theists - "We have no idea what happened and are not smart enough or educated enough to know or find out and are too afraid to anyway, so we arrogantly assert that 6,000 years ago an imaginary superman created everything including the illusion of a 14 billion year old universe and all the evidence pointing to such; and if you question my evidence-less, arrogant assertion you will go to hell."
God didn't make this mess. God made everything that you see, know of and know about perfect. It's mankind and there stupidity that made this mess. Mankind doesn't appreciate what God has done. Your the one thats stupid and all those that agree with you are stupid, incompetent and brainless morons. GOD'S THE NUMBER 1 GENIUS.
@FreeeeS No YOU FUCK OFF. You can't handle the truth. You're another academic brain washed stupid idiot who doesn't know facts and definitions between God and Science you moron. GOD is the number 1 genius.
@Ecka0007 i think you've already embarassed yourself sufficiently for one day. you should go hang around with your creationist buddies, where blindness and ignorance are virtues and critical thinking skills are frowned upon; you'd fit in well with those guys.
If you're not interested in being part of the scientific community then any and all opinions you may have on the topic are null and void. the difference between science and god is that science is real and god is not.
@hellbirdsflight In the eyes of scientifically brain washed academics like you, of cos whatever I say is going to be void. Thats science for you. Just wait till you die, then you'll know that God is real. Here's some scientific evidence that God is real. Try looking up the topic Near Death Experience (N.D.E). on youtube or even google it. These are people that have experienced death and lived to tell their story and with doctors and science involved. ...and I'm not embrassed. I'm actually proud
@Ecka0007 so-called 'near death experiences' are well documented scientifically, and do not have anything to offer to the theist/atheist debate. if anything, the discovery that such experiences are the result of chemical processes in the brain does more to *disprove* your god than anything else.
as for meeting god when i die, i'm happy to gamble that a being who has failed to provide any direct evidence of his own existence will be reasonable enough not to punish me for not believing in him.
@hellbirdsflight " will be reasonable enough not to punish me for not believing in him."
Yeh but ...A God who proves his existence makes an idol of himself.
So we can't expect that.
In the end its how much Love we bring into the world, not a list of rights and wrongs. Its about mercy, not justice. A kind theist has little to fear from God.
We have more to fear from our self.
Its better to understand then to be understood after all.
@jonesgerard if i were to, say, prove my own existence, by means of some sort of demonstration of my capabilities, does that mean i would be making an idol of myself? and would that be a bad thing?
@hellbirdsflight And what scientific education do you actually have? Give me just one intelligent statement to prove your theory is right! Try to be a least someone impressive because I haven't seen anything yet!
@991med Does the word 'university' mean anything to you? Demographically that puts me far above most creationists in terms of education.
As for 'one intelligent statement', do you mean the theory of evolution, skepticism of so-called personal experiences of the supernatural, or simply a logical refutation for the God hypothesis? 'Cos I've got material on all of those. Try me.
@hellbirdsflight How about two Degree's in Medicine, one being of the Doctorate level? I'm really exhausted wasting my time on keyboard philosophers like you! Take your theories and argue with people of your own level! No response needed! Or maybe, you're another "last word" freak?
@991med There are so many things wrong with your last post that I can't fit them all in, so I'll summarise: 1- if you really are a doctor, you should have realised that god must either be impotent or evil - how else do you explain disease? 2- the first thing you should have learned in medical school is that medical science trumps bronze-age superstition and ritual 100% of the time. science (and medicine, for that matter) is not compatible with religion. 3- you still haven't answered my question.
@hellbirdsflight Atheists never see that they think they would be a better god than God. Its a blind spot.
Most doctors are theists.
The best ones recognize they merely dress the wound, God does the healing.
The worst doctors think they are god.
Science is quite compatible with spirituality, its the creationistas who are trying to walk through the mountain. But hard creationists are just a noisy minority.
Its better to ignore them, if you arue with fools, no-one can tell the difference.
@jonesgerard actually, the best doctors - scratch that, ANY doctor with a degree in actual medicine recognises that medical science has a far more effective track record at curing disease than prayer.
No atheist believes he is god. Certain aspects of the Satanic philosophy are concerned with this kind of thought, but that is not relevant to this discussion.
@jonesgerard So, all doctors believe in god? are you trying to tell me that there is not one atheist doctor in the world?
an atheist doctor both 'thinks' and 'fundamentally believes' that it is right to help people, and that using medical science instead of ancient superstition is the best way to do this.
as for the rest of your post, i have to admit i am confused. I have no idea what you're on about.
Of course there is a god pill - it's called a placebo.
@jonesgerard The majority of people in the world are theistic. However the rate is far higher than 70% amongst non-university educated people; this means that a doctor is far less likely to be a theist than your average person.
@jonesgerard 1: given that around 90% of the world's population is theistic, this does nothing but reinforce my own earlier point. 2: appealing to the authority of scientists is not a valid argument. lots of scientists smoke as well, that doesn't mean it's a good thing to do. just because some scientists believe in god does not mean he exists - the point of science is that it is secular; whether you believe in god or not, this is kept separate from your research and conclusions.
@jonesgerard Placebos do not work on anything. That is the point of a placebo; they are used as a control to test the effectiveness of real medicines. Medicine, on the other hand, does work on addictions - in conjunction psychiatric help and counselling. These are services provided by humans, not by a wizard in the sky.
I was on antidepressents for a year, they didn't do squat for me.
There are no effective anti addiction meds, shrinks are resistant to prescibe the latest formulations because they know they don't work for crap.
I saw a shrink for 2 years and we got nowhere. He advised I try AA and I got well (sane) within a week. HE couldn't believe it but he was happy for me.
@jonesgerard your story does not add up. first you disparage depression as if you do not consider it a real condition, an argument with which i am all too familiar. then you claim to have been on 'antidepressents'. which ones exactly?
@jonesgerard I know I'd be a better God than God. I'll admit that right now. Can you imagine? Infinite power? I would make a Universe where every area is conducive to the life of my creations. I would make it so that they do not have to feed on each other, or indeed, at all, in order to exist. If, by some impossibility, suffering & evil could flourish within my creation, in spite of my omnipotence, I would make sure that the former only happens to the latter, who actually deserve it.
@jonesgerard (1) I think I would be content in a world that feels it doesn't need me, because that means that I designed it so that nothing was wanting (2) actually, were I omniscient, there would be no free will, because omniscience & free will cannot coexist. However, evil is not a prerequisite for free will. Here's an example: Do you wear the red shirt, the blue shirt, the green shirt, the orange shirt, or just go topless? You had all kinds of choices right there, & no one had to die for it.
@TheLithp My experience with God has not shown that sort of Infinite Power,
Gods power is limited to power over my thoughts, the power to remove my insanity.
I've never seen an example of God interferring in the physical world. I don't think that happens at all. God never does for us what we can do ourselves.
@jonesgerard "Out of context"? There is no fucking context. "Omniscience" only means one thing: Knowing everything. Atheists aren't taking anything "out of context," as usual, that's just a phrase thrown out by a theist, with complete disregard for its actual meaning, to avoid acknowledging that inconsistencies in his worldview have been shown. Also, you said there could be no free will without evil, quit shifting the goal posts. You want a life-or-death decision? You're a doctor. You can either
suggest an operation or chemotherapy. Both suggestions are given with the end goal of saving the patient's life, but one or both could fail. You have to make a life-or-death choice, but it does not involve evil, only making the best decision available at the time. I will grant it, you at least have the sense to see that if a benevolent God exists, it clearly can't be omnipotent. But even if God is limited to thought, it still doesn't fix many problems that it could, such as schizophrenia.
All maladies are "physical." I wasn't going to correct you on this point, but you've drawn an unnecessary distinction through ignorance. Depression is not caused "by the ego," it is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. Schizophrenia is caused, or at least correlated with, degeneration of the cerebrum. There is no such thing as an illness that has no physical cause. For someone who talks a lot about other people's egos, you have a tendency to pretend to know more than you obviously do.
@jonesgerard I don't think you get it. There is no context, just the definition of the word. Omni=All. Science=Knowledge. All knowledge. Knowing everything. Omniscience means to know everything. Period. If you know "everything" about Pokemon, you are not omniscient. If you call yourself omniscient because you're an expert on something, you are just using semantics. Ironically, if there was any such thing as "context" to a word's meaning, it would be you who is taking it out of context.
@jonesgerard Who cares? I was only attacking the common Fundie perception of God. It is clear by now that this is not what I'm dealing with.
As for why the meds didn't work, that just happens. Neurochemistry isn't exactly an old branch of medicine, & it's a very complicated thing. That's why people often have to go through several different anti-depressants, & sometimes they can go in the complete opposite direction & cause thoughts of suicide.
@Ecka0007 yeah right... more like pseudo-genious you are just like Lucifer buddy rebelling against the established order the SCEINTIFICI ORDER you are EVIL as you are cast into the pit of ignorance
@libetta He's dead, and I'm referring to current Scientists. Leading scientists had a 7% belief in god. thus 93% were agnostic or atheists. And this was in 98, the figure is probably higher now.

CarmineFragione 4 months ago
In the human mind, any or all possible worlds do exist, have time to exist and have purpose valued at least to the being who find themselves appearing as a person because of the living mind as it behaves. A cycle of the Universe being the Eternal and giving birth to Intelligence, has been proven false by the Big Bang. but we know as individual human beings , that having a mind means we go forth to create many more worlds and each is the product of Intelligent Notions that appear as DREAMS
CarmineFragione 4 months ago
The Materialist Atheist simply denounces the concept of the Conscious Mind as some "emergent reality out of matter" While the Theist is clearly saying the Conscious State is the God over the Matter. The Steady State Eternity is not material, yet behavioral as a living mind is. God is outside the Universe, seeing inwardly and projecting by power of Intelligent Notions of Behavior as existing as the Prime Mover, not the "emergent reaction" Intelligence existed before the Big Bang !!
CarmineFragione 4 months ago
If one makes the equitable parity of the human mind, and the Mind of God, they will at least begin to understand, whether believing or not, to see, at least what we Theists are talking about. The Living Mind of God, is having then a massive dream state, where the Big Bang spreads out as the Universe , while the Mind of God then moves through it, anywhere, anytime and can appear as anything at any time and even show Himself as Jesus Christ , God appearing inside His Domain. God is the MIND !
CarmineFragione 4 months ago
The very parable of God as a Mind, that is the Intelligent Notion that parents forth the Creation ,is a model of reality based on the simile of human nature of the Mind. You support the dream world with part of your mind. You move around the dream world, as dividing your identity away from the whole mind and so you can appear inside the world you dream of ,and even project to see yourself as a particular person appearing in the dream. God does this, this is what we Believe is GOD.
CarmineFragione 4 months ago
@kennethhennig The nature of intelligent notions surpasses all time and space limitations, When you dream, your same mind surrounds the dream to cause it be a creation for a time, just as this universe is subject to time and then ends. While your mind surrounds the dream, it also indwells the things in the dream world, and out of anything anywhere, any object can exude your identity. Behold, you project and see yourself in your dream, you see your SELF, with others around you, 3=1

GOD - Philosophia Perennis and Science.

If God did create our universe..He or She could not have been part of it. It's impossible to create something that you are already part of.
Hope2009pc 6 months ago
@Hope2009pc God did not create Himself, that anything was new to Him. God is behaving as our own minds do, taking it's own property, which to us is unimaginable since it involves Ideas and Notions of Immaterial sense, but yet the Mind is the Eternal Steady State of the God, who is having a massive imploding Dream State, by His Placebo of Mind , He pleases to think the world and as the power of mind does, it acts to create materially the thought into matter. God is dreaming about us.
CarmineFragione 4 months ago
@CarmineFragione Thank you for responding!! I do have a hard time following your "logic" or at least your presentation of an answer.
Hope2009pc 4 months ago
I hope I explained how the same brain you have can divide itself or be Divine to play many roles intertwined so as to present a dreamscape as real as this world and while the mind surrounds the dream ,it also pervades inwardly to indwell everything materially appearing in the dream and at that, you have this core sense of Identity in the mind that projects into a person within the dream and you end up seeing yourself. This is why the Trinity is used, One Being divides into many persons.

@DataJackOne The microchips in my computer didn't just happen, and for no reason, and neither did it's sub atomic particles. Calling people "uneducated' won't work period. That's cop out no one is going to dummy down to. Real science IS great, not this non sense.
mrtadreamer 8 months ago
@DataJackOne So that's really the bottom line and motivation for the false claims of of the whole thing, then. Deceived people observing the creation and misunderstanding what they are seeing and insisting that "God said, Let there be.... and there was", couldn't possibly be.
mrtadreamer 8 months ago
@DataJackOne I know what QM means. No one needs a so called "education" that's based on false information. Even you know by what you said that it's foolishness. There is no such thing as "evidence" for something that's impossible, and to say otherwise is to lie, practice dishonesty, or make a fool of yourself. This stuff is not science. it's philosophy.
mrtadreamer 8 months ago
@DataJackOne I have enough brains in my head to know that something can't just come from nothing for no reason. If QM said it did than QM is wrong. If the info in one's education is false, then that person "education" is worthless.

thank God we do not have to be a scientist to know God created the world we live in. Anyone can look outside of their window anywhere in the world and see everything was made wondrusly by God Almighty and His Omnipotent Power with Infinite Wisdom far above that of mankind; so it is an error for anyone to let themselves be dragged into science which is unable to prove or disprove God. radioactiveego 9 months ago
I am saved
MegaSage007 9 months ago
@MegaSage007
That's nice. That's not evidence. That's like saying it's raining because someone is using a hidden garden hose. Not logical.
radioactiveego 9 months ago
@radioactiveego The innumerable self sustaining systems of the Universe are evidence of a Supreme Being. Man cannot invent self sustaining systems out of nothingness. In fact man has a very difficult time inventing self sustaining systems out of matter energy already here. The evidence for God is irrefutable. Refute it at your own risk.
MegaSage007 9 months ago
@MegaSage007
There isn't any evidence for god.
radioactiveego 9 months ago

No matter what you say.
radioactiveego 9 months ago
@radioactiveego God doesn't have to do anything to please you, but you would be wise to please Him. As for Him not being able to do what is irrationale. He is unwilling to do anything irrationale, but you unfortunately are willing to argue irrationalities as though they were logically and morally correct. That is why there will be no Atheists in heaven tasting of Paradise.
MegaSage007 9 months ago
@MegaSage007

Indeed, why is it that religious people are so very often the worst possible examples of the virtues they claim to stand for?

Thank you for underlining my point so very clearly. You're an excellent example of how religion indeed is the prime source of hatred, division and violence in all of our lives.
GluttonForSex 8 months ago
@GluttonForSex You are a classic case of self righteousness. By rebellion against God you have become the moral center of the world in your own darkness of mind. Hypocrite.
IamtheBest728 11 months ago
@IamtheBest728 knowledge is needed. Atheists call this overseeing power, arrogantly obvious "idea" evolution. Yet you wont speak on how a so called creationist discovered your great theory. Darwin dismissed this debate the instant he created it. Take a nucleus from a cell or a brain from a man and see. Nothing has capability in this world without a thinking mechanism and whether it be a cell, a body, or computer this knowledge is never inherent to the material but always held in a specific form.

Science and God do not have to be mutually exclusive.
mcj3691 1 year ago
@D4K0T4375 Sorry, but you can't disprove something with a "best possible guess". That just sounds silly. As far as the physical realm vs. non-physical - in the physical realm, science tells us that electrons in an atom can never be pinpointed to one given place at any one time, there can only be a probability field of many points where each of them might exist. It also tells us that when an electron switches from one orbit to another, it does not go through the space between the two orbits.
mcj3691 1 year ago
God is a human name for a concept of something that is beyond the physical realm. It can have many interpretations. The concept of the "Big Bang", which is that the universe was a singularity, which is basically all matter and energy concentrated in one tiny point, and then it suddenly exploded and expanded to who knows how many light years in less than a second.....that to me is just as crazy and huge of a concept as is the idea of "God".
mcj3691 1 year ago
@mcj3691 except there is no proof of god and the big bang is the best possible guess there is right now. also there is no such thing as a non-physical realm, there is only a physical realm because anything that is non-physical doesn't exist. it is self contradictory.

Ecka0007 1 year ago
@Ecka0007 so-called 'near death experiences' are well documented scientifically, and do not have anything to offer to the theist/atheist debate. if anything, the discovery that such experiences are the result of chemical processes in the brain does more to *disprove* your god than anything else.
as for meeting god when i die, i'm happy to gamble that a being who has failed to provide any direct evidence of his own existence will be reasonable enough not to punish me for not believing in him.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight " will be reasonable enough not to punish me for not believing in him."
Yeh but ...A God who proves his existence makes an idol of himself.
So we can't expect that.
In the end its how much Love we bring into the world, not a list of rights and wrongs. Its about mercy, not justice. A kind theist has little to fear from God.
We have more to fear from our self.
Its better to understand then to be understood after all.
jonesgerard 1 year ago

People DO make idols of themselves and become annoyed when others fail to notice their pedestal. I experience that several times a day.

3- you still haven't answered my question.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight Atheists never see that they think they would be a better god than God. Its a blind spot.
Most doctors are theists.
The best ones recognize they merely dress the wound, God does the healing.
The worst doctors think they are god.
Science is quite compatible with spirituality, its the creationistas who are trying to walk through the mountain. But hard creationists are just a noisy minority.
Its better to ignore them, if you arue with fools, no-one can tell the difference.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard actually, the best doctors - scratch that, ANY doctor with a degree in actual medicine recognises that medical science has a far more effective track record at curing disease than prayer.
No atheist believes he is god. Certain aspects of the Satanic philosophy are concerned with this kind of thought, but that is not relevant to this discussion.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight
Curing disease is not the reason doctors believe in God.
What an atheist "thinks" has nothing to do with what they fundamentally believe.
Thats human nature. Our fundamental belief is closer to our state of being than the conscious mind, in other words, we're not fully aware of it.
And changing our state of being is not something medicine has a lot of success with but spirituality is very effective for this.
THere is no God pill.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard So, all doctors believe in god? are you trying to tell me that there is not one atheist doctor in the world?
an atheist doctor both 'thinks' and 'fundamentally believes' that it is right to help people, and that using medical science instead of ancient superstition is the best way to do this.
as for the rest of your post, i have to admit i am confused. I have no idea what you're on about.
Of course there is a god pill - it's called a placebo.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight The majority 70+% are theistic.
Placebo's don't work on addictions, nothing medical or science based (of man) works, but spirituality does.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard The majority of people in the world are theistic. However the rate is far higher than 70% amongst non-university educated people; this means that a doctor is far less likely to be a theist than your average person.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight True but docs are more theistic than the other sciences.
A study published on science.net(?) showed higher numbers of theists among scientists than they had assumed, something like 42%. of all scientists.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard 1: given that around 90% of the world's population is theistic, this does nothing but reinforce my own earlier point. 2: appealing to the authority of scientists is not a valid argument. lots of scientists smoke as well, that doesn't mean it's a good thing to do. just because some scientists believe in god does not mean he exists - the point of science is that it is secular; whether you believe in god or not, this is kept separate from your research and conclusions.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@jonesgerard Placebos do not work on anything. That is the point of a placebo; they are used as a control to test the effectiveness of real medicines. Medicine, on the other hand, does work on addictions - in conjunction psychiatric help and counselling. These are services provided by humans, not by a wizard in the sky.
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight Placebos have been shown to soothe depression.
That says something about depression.
Never saw him again.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard your story does not add up. first you disparage depression as if you do not consider it a real condition, an argument with which i am all too familiar. then you claim to have been on 'antidepressents'. which ones exactly?
hellbirdsflight 1 year ago
@hellbirdsflight Zoloft and paxil, its a real condition but its self generated.
So the solution has to come from someting other than self because self just promotes itself. Thats where God came in.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard I know I'd be a better God than God. I'll admit that right now. Can you imagine? Infinite power? I would make a Universe where every area is conducive to the life of my creations. I would make it so that they do not have to feed on each other, or indeed, at all, in order to exist. If, by some impossibility, suffering & evil could flourish within my creation, in spite of my omnipotence, I would make sure that the former only happens to the latter, who actually deserve it.
TheLithp 1 year ago
@TheLithp Would you make yourself known ?
In order to make an idol of yourself?
Would there be free will?
Because evil and suffering cannot exist without free will.
They arise from choices we make.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard (1) I think I would be content in a world that feels it doesn't need me, because that means that I designed it so that nothing was wanting (2) actually, were I omniscient, there would be no free will, because omniscience & free will cannot coexist. However, evil is not a prerequisite for free will. Here's an example: Do you wear the red shirt, the blue shirt, the green shirt, the orange shirt, or just go topless? You had all kinds of choices right there, & no one had to die for it.
TheLithp 1 year ago
@TheLithp Those are not life or death decisons, choosing the wrong color shirt harms no-one. Evil is a function of evil choices acted out.
I don't buy the atheist interpretation of omniscience, it all out of context.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@TheLithp My experience with God has not shown that sort of Infinite Power,
Gods power is limited to power over my thoughts, the power to remove my insanity.
I've never seen an example of God interferring in the physical world. I don't think that happens at all. God never does for us what we can do ourselves.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard "Out of context"? There is no fucking context. "Omniscience" only means one thing: Knowing everything. Atheists aren't taking anything "out of context," as usual, that's just a phrase thrown out by a theist, with complete disregard for its actual meaning, to avoid acknowledging that inconsistencies in his worldview have been shown. Also, you said there could be no free will without evil, quit shifting the goal posts. You want a life-or-death decision? You're a doctor. You can either
TheLithp 1 year ago
suggest an operation or chemotherapy.
TheLithp 1 year ago
@TheLithp "But even if God is limited to thought, it still doesn't fix many problems that it could, such as schizophrenia"
Thats an organic illness, not a malady that arises from self(ego) like depression .
John Nash recovered when he started to ponder God, he got humble and allowed there might be some entity greater than his massive ego.
He's still schizoid but isn't inanely self destructive. He mentions it.

TheLithp 1 year ago
@TheLithp My experience was the meds didn't work, the chemical that brougt about balance couldn't fix the underlying problem.
Its very simple, a mind that is fundamentally dishonest to itself will have a chemical imbalance and depression may be the least of the problems.
WHen I got honest the imbalance went away and I no longer needed the meds.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@TheLithp YEs out of context, knowing everything about what?
God knows everything I think and do but I don't see God evidenced outside of me in the natural world, I see nature running like a clockwork.
Some people do, I don't.
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard I don't think you get it. There is no context, just the definition of the word. Omni=All. Science=Knowledge. All knowledge. Knowing everything. Omniscience means to know everything. Period. If you know "everything" about Pokemon, you are not omniscient. If you call yourself omniscient because you're an expert on something, you are just using semantics. Ironically, if there was any such thing as "context" to a word's meaning, it would be you who is taking it out of context.
TheLithp 1 year ago
@TheLithp Well then I don't agree with omni everything.
My guess is whoever coined those terms have never experienced God.
WHo coined it?
jonesgerard 1 year ago
@jonesgerard Who cares? I was only attacking the common Fundie perception of God. It is clear by now that this is not what I'm dealing with.
As for why the meds didn't work, that just happens. Neurochemistry isn't exactly an old branch of medicine, & it's a very complicated thing. That's why people often have to go through several different anti-depressants, & sometimes they can go in the complete opposite direction & cause thoughts of suicide.
TheLithp 1 year ago
@TheLithp The meds do "something" but its not something I want to live with, the best they offer is relief but relief is temporary by nature.

A theist claims to know the truth and doesn't feel the need to prove it.
A scientist/atheist/rational person claims to have the truth of what they can prove.

hey dumbass, not all scientists are ATHEISTS. ask JOSE RIZAL.
libetta 1 year ago
@libetta He's dead, and I'm referring to current Scientists. Leading scientists had a 7% belief in god. thus 93% were agnostic or atheists. And this was in 98, the figure is probably higher now.
