3:00 This is actually the first time I notice the longness of the ladder platform, in the N64 game (and in Goldeneye Source) it's way shorter, in the movie it's almost like the whole antenna.
To me, this movie showed why Pierce Brosnan was the perfect Bond. He wasn't only a pretty face; he was a real stud as well. He could do the smooth, suave shit but then be a tough-as-nails-badass at the same time. It's a shame the following movies he did weren't worthy of him.
ok 006 is still alive after he falls (yes i know he "bleed out") but this just proves that max zorin didn't die after he fell off the golden gate bridge (when the bridge was being made 5 workers fell the falling rubble tore though the safety net and one survived) and since zorin was injected with steroids as a baby he had abnormal strength. he was also super smart so he'd know to take on a shoe or his belt so it would hit the water first thus breaking the surface tension.I rest my case.
That fight between 007 and 006 is the best Bond fight scene ever, bar none, That includes anything Connery ever did and anything Daniel Craig has done up to now.
English For the England James? No. For me. Portugês Pela Inglaterra James? Não. Por mim. Español Para Inglaterra James? No. Para mí. It's awesome in all languages!! xD
anyone who thinks brosnan was a sissy james bond needs to watch this movie. this is easily his best bond movie, and one of the best out of all bond films. i feel like it actually got worse with each one for him..tomorrow never dies was okay, but the other two..no.
This soundtrack is much better than all those rescores.
The rescore artists obviously haven't understood the identity of Goldeneye - the movie is SUPPOSED to be dark and mysterious, not some hyper symphony mess.
@mvfF1Fanatic According to Wikipedia, that was actually Pierce Brosnan diving down the stairs. It says that he and Sean Bean (Alec) did almost the entire fight scene by themselves. The lone instance of a stunt man is someone being flung into a wall. The rest? All them.
@lastxwriter Well if that's true, then it's even more impressive. Then again, Brosnan has always been a very physical actor. Anyhoo... great scene, great film!
@mvfF1Fanatic Yeah I know, no shit right? Every time I watch this movie and watch that scene I am like, "OWE...oh well could have been a lot worse....splat".
That antena is the radiotelescope of arecibo of puerto rico the manager of the installation told me tha that scene bring me a lot of memory

i have and love the n64 version of this game it rocks.
chazicthule 9 months ago
Funny how in the game it's the other way round. :)
Bond chases him down the level and then you fight him on the small platform.
Ahh good times!
