Lovely blues playing there!!! Just 1 question,,,does the "session partner" have a fixed chord pattern that u follow or is it an accompaniment pattern that follows whatever chords u choose?? Like in the Yamaha keyboards
@livingpiano Hello there, it an accompaniment pattern that follows whatever chords I choose But the session partner has also a fixed chord pattern. I am using a simply minor blues scale, Cmin - Fmin - G-min
This must be the best session partner demo on youtube. Congratulations and I wonder if you care to listen to any of my videos (except my one called session partner which is rubbish compared to this!).
Thanks for your reply. I was referring to the feeling that they have the keys to reach down as if hit with something hard. In these days have to decide between buying the FP7 and FP4 and this feeling makes me really doubt buy FP7, you think? you have done your time, would buy the FP7 or choose another? excuse my English but I am using the Google Translate.
the touch sence is a little hard indeed, just like wood to wood, but you're used to it in a while. I bought the FP7 for the jazzy ritm arrangements and the rhodes and hammond sounds. I don't use the FP7 on stage, only at home. On stage I use a Yamaha 120, that plays a little softer, but les options and no arrangements
I always tried to play blues piano, and I didn't use books . Just listening to al lot of blues mucisians and trie to understand their music and improvisations, for the rest I did it on my own, Good Luck ..Greetings from Helmond The Netherlands
first I started with the cords, after that I tried to inprovisate to the cords, it's a bit of feeling but also a bit of system, I'm playing for more than 40 years, but just for hobby, and as you see, in a band
What are you doing with your left hand please? Are you controlling the harmony of the accompaniment? How do you do that on the FP-7 - I thought session partner was fixed ?
The FP7 is (probably like most Epianos) good for this kind of music. But I think for classics and stuff like that a real piano is much better. I have an FP7 myself and I'm playing classics and romantic only. Don't need all the features this instrument offers. Only bought cause it's keyboard is at least a lil bit similar to a real piano. But the keyboard is so noisy! It's like you knock with your bone against a door.
Really good playing, you exploited the potential of the instrument so much also. I'm buying an FP-7 tomorrow, tried one out today and with what I achieved with my modest ability and what I've seen on YouTube, I'm really impressed. Thanks 5 stars.
does this piano has built in speakers?

which scale do you use?
the 6tone bluescale major-bluesscale minorbluesscale ?
When I try to improvisate for example to 7-chords it doesnt sound like blues, it sounds like nothing....

Which do you prefer? FP4 or FP7? They told me that the hammer of FP7 is rare.

I don't know the FP4, I like to play on the seven, but the yamaha 140 is also nice to play

nice improvisation!
Did you start with bluespiano or jazzpiano ?
I thought blues is a condition to learn jazz-improvisation..
Dorsch123 2 years ago
Thanx for your comment, I started with blues inprovisation

thanks !
Did you learn chords, or are you "just" playing?
I cant imagine that you can play without thinking about the chords...
Is this just "Feeling" or more a system like (which (broken) chord/accord will i play next? for example)
How long do you play blues-impro?

aha ok,
what chords do you mean?
Major, Minor and Seventhchords?
Could you post a short video for blues improvisation? I think many people would watch this ;)

Is that rythum built in to the keyboard? Thanks
schooder 2 years ago
I checked this one out in the musicstore (im planning to buy it)
It does have some build in rythms. And it doesnt seem like he is using the audio key function, so I think its build in.

now I see why I don't hear your left hand - you input chords. Very nice playing, I consider buying similiar fp-4. Your music just flows :)
