It really doesn't matter how good your pilots are, If you have Jet fighter that can out shoot, out fly and have longer range missiles, then it comes down to 2 things.
1. Reliability of the air craft, in combat situation

so it doesn't sound so impossible perhaps not literally to
overfly Russia but just crate minor "incidents" like Russia is making often with their bombers when they get close to borders to make some response testing

Russia and China have had to build their defences to stay ahead of the world's biggest aggressor. Haven't the Republican American Presidents called them part of the 'axis of evil'. The only fighter aircraft that could defeat the Russian Su-35BM and T-50 is the F-22 Raptor. The B-52 and B-1B can't penetrates targets inside enemy line. They will automatically shot down by S-300MPU2 and S-400. The B-2 can bomb inside enemy line destroying targets. US and NATO can protect themselves from ballistic missiles, Cruise missiles, Stealth aircraft, UAV, helicopters, and Airborne by using their own new advance SAM such as MEADS, THAAD, & SAMP-T. The F-35 is useless aircraft. Trust Me!

The US has clearly made a major strategic blunder by ending production of the F22 Raptor. It is also incomprehensible that the US failed to export this aircraft to close allies like Australia and Japan. The result of these strategic mistakes is demonstrated in this video. Instead of investing massive resources into the flawed F35 program the US should initiate an upgrade and development program for the F22 raptor and start exporting it. Failure to do so will result future catastrophic defeat.
