Yes but i didnt mean that you were lost. I mean the picture. As much as i see, i think that truck couldnt go over the bridge because the bridge is to much narrow isn it ? So i suppose you went reverse...
I hope i will start driving truck next year over the europe(have to get license). And I as a beginner, cant imagine what will i do in such situations :S.Because first few months driving truck (with no experience yet) you dont have such feeling for width, length of the truck. And in situations like that one,you have to be quite skilled i think. But as far as i have learned from my exp. everythig can be done when "you have to".You certainly cant stay there and cry.How long did u go in reverse gear?
You are right, all the difficult situations will be fixed, one way or another, because they have to be fixed. And it won't take long before you feel the size of the truck. Just don't take any chances.
By the time two weeks are up you will feel like a veteran.
I did not reverse, I managed to turn arround right there, you will notice there was another smaller road crossing.
I think that u have "lost in france" in mind. I mean "lost in SPAIN" situation(3:34).Too narrowed bridge for the length of truck to go forward and no smaller road to turn around. Oh and my father was a int driver too :D. With volvo FH 420 but it was older model than this.A first one. Really great truck. 7-3 and full tyres (if you say so overthere too :D)
Wow! Very nice! I like the part where you couldn't go any farther because of the concrete barriers. LOL! That's happened to me more than once many years ago. Ugh! I noticed that the roadways are very clean with very minimal trash along them. Unlike what we see over here in America. Once again,....Good job!
I thought I was the only one who had the bright idea of being a inter-continental trucker. Now you've done it, and posted it prove it! And I don't even have my truck driving licence. Kudos to you and more video-stories please!
Nice video Roger, I am truck driver in the south of France too, drive safe

freaky watching you drive on the wrong side of the road when in England.

How's it like driving those overcab european trucks, compared to a Peterbilt or Freightliner.

As smooth as driving a Rolls Royce. And you can't beat the french motorway system. For the expensive tolls and the perfect asphalt...
