when you insert a new clip into the bolt, is it absolutely necessary to flip down that silver catch to hold it open?? when in real life the operator would just hold the bolt back, insert the new clip, then allow the bolt to slide home???

For everyone asking for this, I think green gas would be great for this gun. Not only does it fill your weapon with gas to fire, it lubricates your gun's parts as you're firing.

@mikethenascarfan - His uniform might not be correct but have a look at the 442nd Infantry Regiment. Guess its possible that "Japs" did wield M1 rifles during WW2.

@Volare318 Yes, but it was quite rare to capture an m1 garand. Most soldiers were taught to take any rifles they could from dead soldiers, so thay can continue to fight the war. It is also possible some U.S. soldiers in vietnam used the chinese ak-47s, but not very likely. My point is that i found it ironic that a japenese man is doing a review on an airsoft gun based on a ruifle that, in world war 2, killed hundreds of japense soldiers. I also find it ironic the japenese are producing this gun.

Actually the m1 grand was a horrible rifle in ww2 it made a loud bell noise when reloaded and gave away the soldiers spot and it had the worst case of recoil for such a weak gun
