Very nice, helpful instruction, nicely done.

  • could this be done with double crochet as well?

  • @ladylejean215 Well, I've never tried that but I don't see why you couldn't. Let me know if you try it out and it works for you!

  • Also called reverse single crochet. :)

  • Thanks for your great tutorial! Helped a ton!!

  • Thank you for this instruction. I read about this stitch and could not really understand how to set about going from left to right - it just sounded too weird and I thought there must be a misprint. You saying that it does feel a little strange to start with really has convinced me to try it. I'm very grateful.

  • What is the stitch you used for the dishcloth? I would love the pattern for the dishcloth is you're willing to share.

  • @covikings The pattern for this washcloth is knitted and it is called Moss Stitch. You can find lots of videos here on youtube showing how to knit it. Here are the written instructions.

    Any odd number

    Rows 1 and 4: *k1, p1; rep from *, end k1

    Rows 2 and 3: *p1, k1; rep from *, end p1

    Any even number

    Rows 1 and 2: *k1, p1; rep from *

    Rows 3 and 4: *p1, k1; rep from *

  • Thank you! I appreciate it. I'm going to give this a shot. Great video.

  • Great video, thank you! it is not as difficult as I thought it would be :)

  • Thank You so much for your instructions, I am going to be using this stitch quite a lot, it is a little slow but it is worth it to know this stitch.....and it looks so pretty when you are done...I'm getting ready to make a flower heart for a friend's wedding and that stitch will look so good on the edge of the flowers.......thanks again....

  • Hi Connie! The crab stitch is beautiful. I have done the crochet stitch in reverse. This stitch is called the (reverse single crochet). I have used this a few times myself on a blanket, sweater, and hats. It does make a wonderful edging.

Thank you for sharing your Crab Stitch pattern:) God Bless!:)

  • Nice video. Clear instructions. I have not done this stitch in many years. I need some wash cloths. I will make some and use this stitch on them. Thank you.

  • Thats beautiful. I love that! Got to try it. Thank you.
