  • Wow I've been searching for an inexpensive way to make shower gel

    THANKS!-3

  • do they have to stay refigerated? I am searching for a recipe for shower jelly that does not have to stay refrigerated like Lush's shower jelly. Great video.

  • @ohsonatural1 I have never left mine unrefrigerated so I honestly don't know, all I can say is give it a try, I have left them out overnight and there was little separation if that help

  • yes soo expensive and I look at the ingredients and say oh I can make this at home and put other things I like

  • This was great! I'd like to try this with my little one.

  • @ddgreely yes it's easy to make, and if you go to the dollar tree they have halloween ice cube trays, that are perfect for molds

  • @ashermunin thank you I'll go but the gelatin

  • Is the gelatin something you need or can I take it out

  • @lalaland5643 the gelatin is what makes it jelly....and makes it keep it's shape...so I would have to say no you can't take it out

  • can this be done with melt and pour soap instead of liquid? and why does salt have to be in your recipe? what does that do? can i add powders in it .like powdered milk ,

oatmeal, silk? i was thinking melt and pour soap-body cream, gelatin, powdered milk and a little bit of hot water. i made this before without the gelatin,it was soap 60%- and body cream 40%- and it came out more firmer than what you have but jelly like. very good video! tits up!

  • I had to comment cuz ur amazing, ive sat here and watched most of ur videos. I feel like i had a soul sister LOL, I too am wiccan and I love doing projects like this with my kids along with my love for cheap make-up. I was so excited to find u. I also loved the fact that u had the song Poison playing, dont know if you have heard the version by Tarja Turunen. Its a killer. Blessed Be.

  • @magickalangel1 Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I never heard that version by her until now, I went and looked it up, and have to say it's pretty amazing, I have another channel that was supposed to be for my wiccan ideas, but over the past few weeks I have become obsessed with ghost hunting, so that's what it pretty much turned into I need to redirect, how many kids do you have, and if interested go check out my other channel ashermunin2

  • @ashermunin Ghost Hunting is pretty fabulous so I understand ur obsession but I cant do too much of that my oldest is WAAAAAY to empathic. I have 2 demons spawns o i mean 2 boys. I look foward to seeing more video's. And O BTW ur Laurell K. background is crazy, love it.

  • Sounds good for baby shower whatchamajiggers.....FAVORS...thats the one...and we can do it together!! YEAH!! :D

  • what song is playing at the beggining?

  • @knsparkles Welcome Home by Coheed N Cambria

  • If you don't have spritzer you can use some perfume it's alchohol based

  • @TheCocotoo yes...you can use anything that has alcohol in it....8op

  • @snowman358 flavored jello will work but it will change the color and scent.

  • Why wont flavored jello work? and lush is cheap were i live the dirty tooth taps i think there called are 4 bucks :D lol

  • i cant find knox gellatin or just plain gellatin in india, or at least where i stay. so can you please tell me what else can we do?

  • @aditi1998 try a baking supply store

  • i love using body spray (its the alcohol) and spray it on top after you pour in the mold, it pops all air bubbles. you can use plain rubbing alcohol too, but body spray works fine and smells good

  • @TaraCoons0810 sounds like a good idea, never thought of it, but since it has alcohol guess it would do the same thing.......good idea

  • your background music rocks !!!

  • @shellbellexx3 Thank you...I love it

  • a little bit of bubbles dont hurt anyone

  • I am very satisfied, because I did my very first Jell-O soap, I did it in blue, pink and green. I took my bath and it is true that forms foam quite as the shower gel; but regrettably that very fast bottom! A cube is good for a bath or a shower. I took some shower gel of dollar store and a ice cubes mold , food coloring agent and of course the gelatin and the salt. Very easy and interesting to make even with a child as Christmas activity.

  • @dolphine1967 I am glad you had a good outcome. I agree with you on the childs project I have actually taught my 9 year old niece how to do this, and she makes it with her friends quite often

  • @ashermunin Can you preserve your shower jelly in the refrigerator???

  • @ashermunin I think of making the other very natural jell-o soaps with some goat's milk shower gel, baby shower gel, with essential oil or with my favourite Dove gel. I found on internet of molds with ice cubes in the shape of breast and penis! I believe that I am going to make jell-o soaps with this kind of mold for adults!!!;)

  • @dolphine1967 I bet they will love them...people are always suckers for the cock and ball....I'm glad it worked out for you, and I hope you make tons and give em away

  • @ashermunin I am very proud this morning because yesterday evening, I made 2 beautiful recipes of Jell-O soaps with my 5 years old daughter. The first recipe, we made it with some gel shampoo for children with bubblegum scent and we made soaps in the shape of little hearts and also with ice mold, to wash her head. The second recipe, we used the baby body wash and we made two soaps in the shape of big hearts and also with ice mold.

  • @ashermunin . I do not know if it is the luck of the new beginner;) or the products which she used, but her soaps have a perfect very smooth and gleaming texture.

  • @ashermunin while me, I have personally make 4 recipes of soaps and every recipe stays with a rather imperfect result with the pearly white shower gel which I used. I would like very much sending you photos of my soaps, but regrettably I do not know if I can send photos on YouTube and I believe that it would be better that you give me if you please your email

  • @ashermunin You are seriously amazinggg !!!

  • you can all so use gelatine

  • @elaine6655 yes, that's what I'm using Knox Gelatine

  • i love it... very creative thing to do with gelatin : )

  • @GiselleM713 why thank you...

  • doesn't the food colouring stain your skin? great video by the way! :)

  • @PanEuopeanST I have never had it stain my skin or the shower....

  • what 1 cup?

Is that 1 Liter of what? because here in Europe we dont use cups hihi!

  • @Unkn0wnGyal 1 cup is 250ml... i think :)

  • 1 cup= 240ml

    3/4 cup=180ml

    1/2 cup=120ml

    1 teaspoon=5ml

  • How long does the soap jelly's last??

  • @Luckygreencarebear for at least a month if you keep refrigerated

  • isn't this copying LactoseOverdose?

    just asking

  • @berryice9600 well considering I have no idea who that user is I could say no, this recipie is availiable on ehow.com, that's where I got it from

  • @XXBunnyBoBoXX the gelatain can be found at any grocery store, that sells regular jell-o, and yes you can just put it in the fridge and use a knife, the mold is just for fun and not a necessity, and yes you can put them in the freezer, but I recommend putting them in the frige first to jell, than pop into freezer

  • looks easy to me iul give it a try :)

  • Thank you for telling me all this is so good to know and I will try it out:) P.S good video:)

  • Do we HAVE to HAVE food coloring?

  • @LollipopSharon no you do not have to have the food coloring..it's for decoration only really

  • @ashermunin Oh ok but where can we buy food coloring?

  • @LollipopSharon you can get it at any walmart super target kmart it's on the baking aisle....

  • just fyi, jello has sugar, unless of course you use the sugar free kind, and sugar + the yeast in your nooks and crannies = BAD! you should always avoid anything that involves sugar when it comes to cleansing..especially your naughties. bad juju.

on a different note, i made a batch with 2 packs of gelatin and the body wash, with some xtra bubble bath and vodka. holds up out of fridge fine but gets melty at above 78f or so, but resolidifies when the temp goes back down. success!!

  • so u can use jello instead of of gelatin and r u sure any salt will work

  • @hotcurls102 I suppose you could use jello but i'm afraid the jello would stain the body or the shower. and I have used both regular salt and kosher salt with the same outcome....hope this helps

  • how do you store these?

  • @neonpinksapphire in the fridge in an airtight container

  • hi! great job on the vid...just FYI, if you add a couple tablespoons of vodka into the mix it will act as a preservative so you don't get mold or bacteria....you need a preservvative in ANYTHING you make that involves adding water to it. my question is though, how do yours stand up out of the fridge? do you keep them cold all the time? the lush jelly i have has never been in the fridge and is solid, but i'm having trouble keeping mine solid out of the fridge. ....maybe more gelatin?

  • @dakotalovergirl I keep them in the fridge, otherwise they will breakdown, and mine don't last long enough to worry about bacteria, otherwise I would use the vodka... There is a vodka bottle behind me, that I made Jello shots the night before with

  • great video!! :)

  • @merrii thanks....

  • tomarro i am going to test this out, but one question that i am concerned about is will that spray be safe to use one skin? sorry i just want to make sure cause i dont want to get like injuries, sorry if I sound to parranoid!

  • @12chibichan the alcohol is the only spray I used and it keeps the air bubbles out, totally safe...and your already using body wash so there again totally safe...try it out it really works and is totally safe

  • how much is food coloring

  • @puppies3rock I got my food coloring from a dollar store so maybe a few bucks

  • @puppies3rock

    thankz

  • will it still form if you dont have gelatin? anything else i can use instead of that ?

  • @Spy14kids Not that I can think of the gelatin is what sets it, If I come up with anything i'll let you know

  • just found bulk load of gelatin in cabinet. i must make liek 354 loads of this...ahaha

  • @OliviaMakeupChannel yep. let me know how it turns out

  • @ashermunin It turned out great! i tried using a shimmer body spray to fragrance it because i wasn't a fan of the soap i used but it's all i had. I'm gonna be making bath things as a hobby so i ordered some fragrances to see if they would work. I also want to try glitter to make them more fun because the shimmer I used was too subtle. :) I'm also going to buy a huge jug of hand soap to use because you can use hand soap on your body too-and its cheaper.

  • Thanks, I'll have to try this. Love the rockin' tunes in the background :)

  • mine wont turn out like yours the bottom sets but the topn doesn't what can i do

  • i made sum it turned out not like I expected but i used 18p bubble bath so it was good for my bubble bath but terrible to wash yourself i need shower gel next time but that's all I had downstairs for washing up but prep time is so fast I made it in 2 mins I left the mold overnight in the fridge. defo make sum more its cheap and easy , my kind of soap making thanks for tha vid.

  • @vampireanimewoo your quite welcome, i'm working on a recipe for bubble bars next...hope to have it worked out in a week or so

  • i have re done mine about 3 times now because the bottom keeps setting but the rest doesnt what shall i do i have just added more water

  • @dancenerd12345 try and add a little more salt, it acts as a binding agent between the soap and the gelatin, and make sure you use alcohol to get all the air bubbles out, and try to use a medium priced soap, the lower priced soaps have to much crap in them to bind with

  • @dancenerd12345 if that doesn't work try adding a little less water...higher altitudes might effect it I live in Fl...so I have no altitude

  • @dancenerd12345 use less water...where do you live...maybe the altitude has something to do with it...I live in florida nice and flat and lower altitude...try adding less water and more soap...or using 1 1/2 packs of the gelatin

  • what kind of alcohol is is it like vodka alcohol

  • @dancenerd12345 the alcohol used for the air bubbles is 70% alcohol from the drug store....but I also have a big bottle of Vodka on the counter behind me that I didn't realize was there

  • thanks but i live in england but i finally got sum YAY btw i luv the skull molds

  • @vampireanimewoo cool...let me know how it turns out....I love them

  • this is great thanks so much i can get all of the ingredients but the powdered gelatin i can only find flavoured HELP!

  • @vampireanimewoo The Knox Gelatin is by the flavored jello at walmart on the top shelf, usually above the marshmallows, if not there try by where they sell canning jars, they may have some there

  • lol good vid theres like a bottle of liquer in the backroi=und

  • Thanks - Good video love the the skull molds - I will try this one out.

  • @audwhy64 thank you, I got them at halloween time and they had gummie candy in them

  • Great idea, I'm definitely going to try this !

  • it's awesome and can mold into anything..

  • whats that begging song named?

  • welcome home by Coheed and Cambria

  • Great vidoe ! Whay do you need salt? Do you have to use it ? x

  • I guess the salt acts as a binder agent to fill in the gaps between the Gelatin and the soap, I have tried making without salt and they just weren't at solid, they were way to runny and took twice as long to gel

  • Ahh, ok Thank You! x

  • wut do u mean by alcohol?

  • rubbing alcohol 70% or higher if you can find it..it gets the air bubbles out of the molds...

  • i love this vid, very very helpful! going to make some soon! :D xx

  • @Ashxoxoxoxox Thank you...I make this all the time and give it as gifts, people just love them
