What I never got about halo was the lack of silencers...I mean come on, you gotta have something! Probably not even a silencer, just some futuristic thing, maybe a covenant sniper rilfe that doesn't blow your freakin arm off every time you shoot or melt half your body when it "reloads."

It's not really a new version, it's just that the sound_looping tag is divided into several sections so that parts can be looped (as the name implies) if the player delays for too long in some particular area. The script advances the track to completion when the player hits the correct trigger(s). It does sound good though, Bungie did a good job with finding sections that could match up with each other.
