  • lol. such a funny guy. God bless him!

  • agreed!

  • I don't want to scare you but I heard a rumor :

The Government is considering saving energy by turning out the light at the end of the tunnel.

What next, melt down the silver linings?

Please save the silver linings Vote Obama/Biden 08

  • lololololol

  • Love it!!:)

  • lol! I love the immigration part! McCain's got a good sense of humor!:)

    McCain/Palin 0'8!

  • I LOVE THIS.

    ITS THE LOLS.

    McCain <3

  • MCCAIN/PALIN 2008!

  • ClearCrystalBall, the candidate for whom you're voting is AGAINST women by having them have the opportunity to choose to kill their babies. Obama wants to KILL babies. Why would you support someone who is a murderer? A killer of babies?

  • Comment removed

  • my1username, you asked me a question, then you answered for me. huh? I WOULD keep the baby! The baby is completely innocent & should NOT pay for the crime the father committed. Killing a baby under ANY circumstance is pure EVIL!! How could you be so heartless?! I will pray for you.

  • Comment removed

  • my1username, I am not one of a kind. There are many good people, by the Grace of God, who would keep the baby. You just think that everyone is like you and that is why you think no one will keep the baby.

I'm sure if you really think about it & open your heart you also will know that the baby is innocent and might decide to keep the baby if put in those circumstances, God forbid.

Ask God for His grace. He is merciful.

    Peace & love in Christ.

  • my1username, how do you know if I was not raped? How do you know if I have any kids of my own? You don't know anything so don't presume.

You need to do some research on zygotes & embryos. In the first trimester the baby has developed limbs and vital organs already.

Do the research yourself & learn something & stop spreading your hate of babies by saying it would be okay to kill them because of rape.

Life begins at the moment of conception. We are human beings with souls at that moment.

  • lol, thought so.

  • pro lifers are so dumb

    its their body

and they can do what they please with their body

id rather have a child never see what the worlds like .. then have the child grow up in a fucked up enviroment

  • It is NOT your body, it is the baby's body!

And if you do not want to bring children into this life then don't have sex!

  • Barack Obama sat in a church for 20 years that loved Louis Farrakhan so much they gave him a lifetime achievement award. Farrakhan is a great man to black racists and segregationists, but not to people who support an inclusive America. Farrakhan believes blacks should all live in one or two States, separate from white America. White America is beginning to wake up to the real Barack Obama if the polls are any indication.

SAY NO TO OBAMA AND FARRAKHAN

AND YES TO JOHN McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!

  • This old idiot needs to go to a rest home.

  • Moronic comment. There have been many "old" Presidents and people are living longer, better every year.

  • Did he actually make a joke about republican electoral fraud in the last two presidential elections.

  • no he was talking about the DEMOCRATS not counting the primary votes of Mich and FLA.

  • hahahaha, great!

  • if anything from what Ive learned I just know that you conservatives and right wingers would just love to have an alternative to this man. You folks just cant be happy with this.

  • Well, he is the lesser of 2 evils. Obisma is unqualified, inexperienced, egotistical, disrespectful of rural Americans, makes sexist comments to strangers, wants to disarm our country like England, wants to say "game over" in Iraq, but wants more troops in Afghanistan, thinks people are so stupid to believe him about 20 years with racist REV. Wright, etc.

  • Great points. Sexism, particularly, has run rampant in this race. It's disgusting. Never mind offending blacks- the media should be aware of how much they're offending women with the treatment they've been giving Sarah Palin.

  • He reminds me of a an undertaker. Or someone trying to sell a burial plot. I dont see anything else.

  • I can't vote McCain. I support the troops. He doesn't.

Also, I am not a millionaire. So I will ctually get a BIGGER tax cut from Obama than from McCain. I have to vote my pocketbook.

    Want high taxes? Vote McCain

    Want low taxes? Vote Obama

  • oh yeah because that makes sense, idiot.

democrats have always been for taxing us to death for years.

I'm not a millionaire either, as a matter of a fact I am in college and have no job.

    so do your research, hooker..

  • McCain served OUR country, ... suffered as a POW. Wht has Obama done??? We need someone who has scruples and moral serving our country... as our founding fathers wanted it. Obama will take this country to it's lowest low.

  • McCain support our Troops! That's why he goes to Iraq to meet them. obama dosen't like them and won't meet with them. obama is a liar. We have almost won in Iraq and McCain knows that.

  • Why talk about lower or higher taxes? How about NO federal income tax?

Want strong dollar, no inflation tax, balanced budget, no fed. income tax, no Patriot Act, no FISA, no Real ID, no internet regulation, military protecting our borders and much greater respect of the US on the world-wide scene? VOTE RON PAUL

  • KedenVW, Ron Paul has no chance. By voting for Ron Paul you stand the chance of a split vote which may result in Obama getting more votes. Do you really want someone in office who KILLS BABIES??!

  • Chuck Baldwin 2008

  • I want every one to type in Mark attacks Katie McNack i got great jokes on your mom there!!! stewchizzle mom ..ok peeps start from the bottom and read to the top...hahaha

    u just got burned!!

  • Wanna see Obama, McCain and Clinton sing their own song?

Watch "McCain, Clinton, Obama Musical Trio" on youtube.

  • bye the way teach please check my spelling i dont want to make more mistokes i mean mistackes..or is it mistakes who cares chose one asshole..ill be waiting for u to grade my paper..hahaha

  • He Rocks!

  • lol "Watch your back, Simon"

  • Wait....why is there a British guy here commenting on our elections?

Stay out of our campaigns. Didn't we talk about this a few hundred years ago... O_O

    John McCain 2008! :)

  • American elections impact on the world in a huge way, many people dont want to see America make another mistake this time round. Im a strong supporter of the United States which is why i want to see it elect a strong leader (John McCain).

100s of British soldiers have died because of the two conflicts we are currently in, i dont want all of those deaths to be wasted and for nothing by democrats preeching defeat and retreat.

  • If you don't want British soldiers there, then petition your own government, not ours.

It is absolutely none of your business (or any other foreign national's) who we decide to elect.

You may not recall, but in 2004 the UK tried to interferer via the Guardian. They were met with incredible distain.

We don't care who you elect, and don't bother you. Leave us alone. We are a sovereign nation.

I don't care who you are encouraging to win, it is offensive.

    (John McCain 2008 btw)

  • A left wing national newspaper made a petition, omg we tried to really influence your elections didnt we :O.

Youtube is not just for Americans, This video does not say only Americans may post. Im not telling people to vote for John McCain or Clinton / Obama, im simply stating my opinion.

I really dont understand why you are getting worked up about this. You can find Americans all over youtube videos making comments on videos that usually dont concern them, they also arnt as polite =)

  • Your opinion (and every other foreigner's opinion) is irrelevant in a US election.

Interfering in one of our campaigns is one of the most offensive things that any other nation can do (especially a so-called 'ally'); it far surpasses any interference by certain Americans in videos that don't involve them.

We don't bother you when you choose a Prime Minister. Don't bother us when we choose our President.

I can't stop you from spreding your disrespect. But I can voice my opposition to it.

  • The British government is not getting involved in your election, i can totally understand opposition to any foreign power trying to influence the results but not someone simply stating their opinion. Especially as i was respectful and not insulting / attacking americans or speaking bad about them.

The United States of Americas government has attempted to influence election results and countries actions over the past 60 years. So please try and claim the moral highground.

  • The United States dose not try to influance British Elections, nor the elections of any western ally.

  • Western allies maybe, that doesnt mean America hasnt influenced elections in many other parts of the world which should be just as unacceptable by these standards surely.

I agree its up to Americans to decide, i seriously doubt my comments on youtube will swing the election. i said before its up to Americans what type of country they want and what role they want.

I simply wanted to disagree with their view that leaving Iraq will solve all of Americas problems rather than making things worse.

  • I agree with most of your views on Iraq.

That's not the issue; I would be against any foreign national with any views attempting to convince an American of a campaign issue.

There is a huge differnce between a western election and a third-world election. We trust British elections to be fair and transparent, and therefore there is no reason to voice our opinions in them.

We ask for the same courtesy.

I watch many campaign videos. I call out any non-American I see commenting.

  • Im sorry but you are blinded by your own arrogance on this issue if you think Americans on youtube dont do far worse than simply posting their opinions on the upcoming election results. To think this is one of the most offensive things is crazy.

As a so called "ally" we clearly have an interest in the type of government that gets elected there. Once again our government has stayed totally out of this election (rightfully so) but anyone is entitled to an opinion.

  • I never said you wern't entitled to your opinion. But you were clearly trying to convince American voters that you were right; that is what I objected to.

Like I said, I can't stop you from spreding your disrespect. I will, however, call it out.

  • I also did not say i didnt want British soldiers there. I said i dont want the British soldiers who have died in these conflicts to of lost their lives for nothing because an American president gets elected and wants to run away from a mess the previous American government made.

100,000s of people have died since 2000 because George W Bush was elected president. Im soooo sorry myself and others take interest in your elections its just those 537 votes in Florida have cost alot of lives.

  • GREAT MAN!

  • socialist

  • mother fucker

  • /watch?v=ioy90nF2anI

  • Vote McCain

  • wowrocksout, you should grow up its pretty obvious what McCain was talking about for anyone with a bit of commonsense.

  • He needs laugh tracks in the background, And some shock tracks when he says "Watch your back Simon", followed by a vicious beating.

  • Was it a laugh track, or was it the people laughing from the audience on the show itself when the video was played?

  • mccain rocks

  • And watch your back America before you know it we'll be in a War with IRAN.

If we choose RON PAUL we could end the wars, Make peace and negotiate with other countries does that make to much sense for you?

  • You're so funny McCain. I loved that watch your back joke. Best of luck.

  • Why bring up Michigan and Florida? That messed up what otherwise could've been a good piece. Also, the Simon thing was corny.

  • It was just a joke man, maybe not well delivered, but it was just that. Don't try to read it as him trying to be offensive.

  • Under Bill Clinton, the S&P 500 returned 210%. Under Bush, the S&P 500 has returned 3%

Do we really want another four years of Bush economics under McCain?

  • If a Democrat is elected to the office of President, America's government will be led by Obama, Reed, and Pelosi. If this doesn't make your blood run cold you have no understanding of economics. This very moment Obama is running TV ads on all 3 major networks stating he'll penalize companies that make a "profit". While China and Russia are successfully converting to capitalism, Obama wants to make the U.S. a Socialist Welfare State. The only choice for a loyal American is to vote McCain.

  • Camshaff, first of all, Reed and Pelosi have to be re-elected for your outlook there. It's not like the republicans are looking out for the common man. I agree they (as well as 95% of Congress) need the boot. I don't understand why Americans re-elect the incumbent so often. I think it shows the lack of attention people here give towards politics. It's a real shame.

  • McCain is a lobbyist magnet and he wants to continue the war, which has cost the U.S. 3 trillion dollars. The price of oil has about tripled since the war began, and as a result, the cost of goods has skyrocketed. How long can we keep this up? We're borrowing billions of dollars from China. The separation of rich and poor is at an all-time high. There are about 40 million Americans now living in poverty. McCain has lied repeatedly about major issues. Why should anyone trust him w/ our economy?

  • Where are you getting 3 trillion from? All reports I have seen suggest we are at the 1/2 trillion mark. A far cry from the astronomical figure that you have there.

  • The $1/2 trillion number (which has remained stagnant for well over a year for some reason) is the amount Congress has passed to spend on direct military operations. The Dept. of Defense has admitted that the operating cost of the Iraq War is now over $12 billion/month. The true cost to society and our economy (treating wounded soldiers, skyrocketing gas prices resulting in higher costs for goods, etc.) is much higher. The war costs are also being financed through debt from overseas.

  • I agree with you when it comes to costs.. This war has cost America and the global economy trillions of dollars. Yes that money could of been spent far far better, but we can not change that now.

If America pulls out of Iraq will Iraqi become more or less stable? If its less stable will oil prices increase even more?

Iran will be strengthened and they do pose a serious threat continuing to ignore United Nations demands for them to stop enrichment. The west must show its strenght against Iran

  • We can "change" it by getting out of there. At what cost is Iraq worth? The global economy is suffering because of this war. Oil prices have more than quadrupled since the invasion. We are borrowing money and putting trillions more dollars into the hands of future generations. Millions of lives have been ruined or lost. How do we accomplish "democracy" in Iraq when the vast majority of extremists are coming from abroad...especially since our presence is provoking the violence?

  • Once again strew there is a big difference between training a small group to fight the Russian occupation than training and helping a democratically elected government and its new security forces

The economy is suffering because of this war, but it will suffer even more if violence increases and spreads through out Iraq which ofcourse will happen if you remove over 100000 American troops

Ofcourse most American troops will leave in time, but once the Iraqi forces are strong enough on their own

  • It wasn't a "small group"...it was over 100,000 people. After years of U.S. intervention and use of their blood for our interests, they attacked us. I don't see much of a difference here. "Democracy" is not feasible in that part of the world. There is an unlimited number of outside extremists. What reason do Iraqis have to trust the U.S.? Iraq is a disaster now as a direct result of U.S. policy. Forgive me if I think there is at least an outside chance of future blowback from this experience.

  • To suggest "Democracy" is not possible in the region is an insult to the people you claim to care so much about who have suffered because of this war.

I agree democracy shouldnt be "Imposed" on a country and it is alot harder to transform a country by military force instead of a popular uprising from within.

If democracy isnt possible in Iraq (which has democratically elected a government) do you feel the same way about Afghanistan aswell? its in the same region

  • What good is "democracy" when violence rules the land? They may have elections, but I don't even know that many Americans who trust our elections. Why should Iraqis trust the U.S. after it put the Baath Party in power, after all of the military aid, funding and weaponry it gave to Saddam, after years of sanctions and bombings, and now after the invasion? "Democracy" is just an idea that defers the topic away from the tragic realities of everyday life.

  • When you or anyone says "which of course will happen", you don't know that. The same people who have been saying that are the ones who have been wrong on everything about this war. How does "we need to stay and help train the Iraqis to fight the extremists (who come in from abroad anyway)" outweigh "the longer we stay, the longer the extremists will continue to come in and kill innocent people"? Seems to me like the longer we stay, the higher the profit.

  • Americas presence in Iraq does spark hatred for America around the world and yes it can encourage more people to extremism. However the longer America remains in Iraq the stronger the iraqi government and military becomes.

You say most extremists come from abroad anyway so that means better trained Iraqi troops and security forces on the border can reduce those coming in.

If its mainly foriegn fighters doesnt that suggest most Iraqis arnt strongly against American troops remaining?

  • Not at all. 70% of Iraqis want the U.S. out of their country. I'm saying our presence is the reason for the violence in Iraq. That's why "the longer America remains in Iraq, the stronger the Iraqi gov't and military becomes" is a moot point. If our "mission" is to train the Iraqi forces to fight for themselves, what is taking so long and what is all this hype about 10, 20 or 100 years? Exxon alone now makes over $110 million PROFIT every day. Mission accomplished.

  • What do you think it will take to get those forces up to the caliber needed to keep terrorists out?

And arent they being smart by staying unorganized a little and letting us do the work?

  • More Iraqi soldiers and police are dying each month than American. Iraqi government leaders have had their family and loved ones kidnapped and killed in the past, to suggest they want this is a bit of an insult.

They are milking the situation like any good government would, going around the world requesting debt relief etc.. Most of Iraqs debts have been cleared. However military speaking they need more help, most western nations arnt capable of dealing with the problems Iraq faces today.

  • yes but its time for some help.

This was a foolish thing to start, but we did remove Saddam. We are going to be under new management soon, and we need some support here. I mean we are thousands of miles away yet doing the work?

Its in the worlds best interest to help. So if we signal we are going, you have plenty of time to come help.

  • The rest of the world does need to help, and i totally agree it is not in the Wests (especially Europes) interest for America to be defeated in iraq. The amount of anger and hate here in Europe and indeed around the civilized world for Bush is simply overwhelming.

Despite NATO and the UN not approving the war both are on the ground in Iraq trying to help. its understandable other countries dont want to send troops into such a warzone, but they could do alot more to help iraq once Bush is gone

  • McCain is the best choice for president left in the race despite the fact hes a republican. People need to understand that Americas image around the world will not be improved by American troops retreating from Iraq and leaving the Iraqi people and government to get slaughtered

McCain has the ability to remain strong on Iraq and win back alot of support from the civilized world as he wants to close Guantanamo Bay, is against torture and accepts climate change is real unlike Bush who we all hate

  • TheBritishWatcher, do you think America's image is going to improve if we stay there for 5, 10, 500 more years? This war is the biggest fiasco in U.S. history, and this is also the largest transformation of wealth in history. We have as many contractors in Iraq as we do soldiers. America's "image" would improve dramatically if we got out of Iraq, let them handle their gov't, and remove our military bases around the world. We have no business being in their back yard for the last 50 years.

  • Im sorry but do you honestly believe Americas image will improve if you withdraw ur troops and leave the Iraqi government and people to get slaughtered on their own?

AMerica made this mess in Iraq, if it walks away rather than trying to fix the mistakes made in the past you will be giving up and leaving it to the Iraqis.

They need more time, I dont think u understand it does take awhile to build up a military and government from scratch. The longer America stays the stronger Iraq becomes.

  • If America gets out of Iraq, and stops doing things like building military bases the size of Atlanta, world opinion could only improve. The Iraqi people have been dying ever since the invasion, and it will probably stay that way for a while no matter when we leave. Why stay there and interfere w/ their "politics"? I don't think you understand democracy is not feasible in Iraq.

  • The majority of people in the civilized world are not crying and moaning about America building a few bases in Iraq, they are angry about the invasion, the loss of life, and the lack of progress on the ground in Iraqi.

By running away you dont undo the invasion, you dont ensure the death toll of Iraqis go down (its more likely to rise) and reconstruction / progress will be even harder.

America isnt interfeing with Iraqi politics, they are there at the request of the Iraqi government to help

  • The fact that America is building military bases in Iraq is not exactly mainstream. Our media is owned by conglomerates that are also defense contractors. You're kidding yourself if you think people around the world are okay w/ that. Of course, our version of defense seems to be offense. And you don't know that the death toll is "more likely to rise" if the U.S. withdraws. Also, I think the ethnic cleansing and setting up a democratic gov't in Iraq qualifies as "interfering" w/ their politics.

  • Well with 150,000+ american troops in Iraq im pretty sure most people expect America to have bases there just like they have bases all over the world. What matters is if and when the Iraqi government asks America to leave they respect that. Ofcourse people care more about the death tolls and troop presence, than America building a base.

What should the USA do if it pulls out its troops and much more violence does happen? Will America send its troops back in or just leave it to the Iraqis?

  • The U.S. isn't building a military base the size of Atlanta to "leave" any time soon. I'll take the Pepsi challenge w/ the pullout, including the contractors who outnumber our troops, and just removing our presence as a whole. I'm sure many are going to die as they try to gain control of Iraq no matter when we leave, but the longer we stay, the longer this will continue. One thing Saddam did was keep outside influence at bay. Today, you may get blown up on your way to the supermarket.

  • TheBritishWatcher - "McCain has the ability...as he wants to close Guantanamo Bay, is against torture and accepts climate change is real..."

    So do Hillary and Obama.

  • Ofcourse American troops wont be there for 500 more years, but another few years are needed. You make it sound like Americans are the only ones fighting and dying for Iraq. More Iraqi soldiers and security forces die each month than American soldiers, instead of standing with them you want to run away.

Yes hillary and obama would stop those things, but theyd also run away from Iraq. McCain can win back alot of support for America by doing the above.

  • McCain has mentioned 100 years "if necessary". I never implied we are the only ones "fighting and dying for Iraq". About a million people have died since the invasion, and millions more have been wounded and/or maimed. 2 million Iraqis have left the country. More than 80% want us out. You use words like "run away" or "cut and run" or "surrender"...how do you stop people who are willing to blow themselves and others up? It's not about "winning", it's about letting Iraq govern itself.

  • We all know what McCain meant by being in Iraq for 100 years, he didnt mean American troops would be fighting all that time, he simply used examples like American troops have been in Germany, Japan for over 60 years and Korea for 40+ etc.

1 million iraqis have no died, just because one or two sources claims its that high does not mean its correct, all other more reliable sources say it is far lower (but still too high)

Many do want Americans out of Iraq but most understand they need help still

  • The numbers we hear are from violence. The vast majority of people in times of war die from lack of basic services (water, electricity, hospitals, etc.) At least five times as many people have died than our violence figures indicate...probably more. Shit, since the 80's America's intervention has had a lot to do w/ as many as 2 million Iraqi deaths. And the situation in Iraq is nothing like Germany, Japan, or Korea.

  • Many will of died due to problems with services caused by the war but many were dying because of the UN sanctions imposed on Iraq before aswell. Billions of Iraqs debt have been wiped clean by many countries around the world, they are getting huge investment from the outside world.

Progress requires security, and well trained and armed American troops are far more able to provide that security right now than the newly trained and less armed Iraqi security forces.

  • Exactly, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis also died while the Clinton administration bombed the shit out of them for years. Since the Reagan administration took power, U.S. policy has played a substantial role in the deaths of about 2 million Iraqis. What makes you or them think we are there to "provide security"? We can't secure our own ports or borders. If we cared so much about humanity, and not resource control, why aren't we in Darfur right now? Why should Iraq or anyone trust the U.S.?

  • Well i would like to see US take action on Darfur ofcourse the situation in Iraq makes such interventions much harder in the future. Also with Darfur you would face the same problem as over Iraq, finding it difficult to get UN support for a conflict making any invasion and war Illegal.

The past cant be changed, It depends on your thinking of the future. If you think America retreating from Iraq which is how it will be seen by ur allies and enemies will make the US stronger, then you are wrong.

  • About UN support, that didn't seem to stop us from invading Iraq. There are many illegalities in the Iraq War. About withdrawal, how can you say "you are wrong" when it hasn't happened yet? You're not exactly "right". Why listen to the people who got us in this fiasco and have been wrong about everything tell us, as if they have a leg to stand on, what's going to happen next. Our allies and enemies want us out of there. And oh yeah, so does IRAQ! We are getting weaker by the day.

  • Indeed the invasion of Iraq was illegal under international law. The United States of America, Britain and the coalition had no right to invade a nation with out UN support

However despite opposition to the invasion the UN and ocuntries have moved on. Germany, France and Russia the 3 major opponents to the war recognise the Iraqi government and have all canceled HUGE amounts of Iraqi debt

The American troops are now in Iraq under a United Nations Mandate at the request of the Iraqi government

  • Illegal...under international law? Ah! What are we to do for we hath angered the mighty United Nations!

  • lol tymers, as you have angered the mighty United Nations and went to war with out more allies the USA is stuck in Iraq and is responsible for securing the peace and picking up the bill at the end of the day. :)

International law is important, and if you think about it that international law helps keep America strong because it limits what growing nations can do to progress.

  • The U.S. had no right to invade a country that has never done shit to them. That is a war crime of the highest degree. How is anyone in this administration not even behind bars? Germany, France and Russia have canceled Iraq's debt because they recognize the dire need for help. The U.S. troops are there because this administration sent them there. The Iraqi gov't was created by the U.S. They need protection...of course THEY want us to stay.

  • Oh and your right about this being nothing like Germany, Japan and Korea. Those wars were against a country, The Iraq war is against a minority of extremists which are attacking civilians and trying to prevent the progress of a democratic government.

IF you give up on Iraq these people wont simply give up, they will continue their quest for power in that country and increase attacks in Afghanistan to try and bring about a similiar victory there.

You can win this war, have faith in America.

  • Most of the "extremists" are from Saudi Arabia. That is probably the largest source of terrorism in the Arab world. They have accounted for about 1/2 of the suicide bombers in Iraq, and most of the funding as well. Again, how do you stop people who are willing to blow themselves up at the expense of other civilian lives? They weren't doing this until we showed up. A "democratic gov't in Iraq" is like "Richard Simmons' 'manhood' in Lindsey Lohan". It's not feasible. "Faith" isn't reality.

  • Well Iraq did hold democratic elections and they were not rigged, ofcourse many simply voted on faction lines but people do that in western nations too.

AS for how do you stop suicide bombers, for a start continue to train the Iraqi army and security forces so they are able to secure their borders. Hunt down those who are supprting extremism by making it worth while to the locals to give information to security services.

Many suicide bombers do kill civilians, many bombers also get stopped

  • Well Iraq did hold democratic elections and they were not rigged, ofcourse many simply voted on faction lines but people do that in western nations too.

Many suicide bombers do kill civilians, many bombers also get stopped

  • A lot of the "extremists" are from Saudi Arabia. Once again, we're in the wrong country. We've been "training" the Iraqi army for quite a while now. Remember what happened last time we "trained" thousands of Arabs? When are we going to learn from our mistakes? When are we going to learn that our presence and intervention is the reason they hate us and kill innocent people? We can kill thousands of them and be there for 100 years...they will keep coming for 101 years. It is their homeland.

  • Whilst many countries are angry with the US for its actions over Iraq i dont think many are calling for America to withdraw all its troops too quickly risking more violence.

AS i said before western countries have moved on, and most people in the west hate Bush not America. As for the countries in the middle east most of them wouldnt want to see an unstable Iraqi government.

Ofcourse our presence is making us hated but thats because its been failing. Iraq and Afghanistan are not yet secure.

  • The latest poll I saw regarding world opinion (from BBC in Sept. 2007) had it averaging 39% in favor of immediate withdrawal, 28% in favor of withdrawal within one year, and 23% in favor or remaining until security improves. You're right that most countries worldwide hate the U.S gov't, and for good reason...NOT the people. We are hated at the moment because the world protested the invasion, and we did it anyway. We are also hated from decades of intervention resulting in massive loss of life.

  • As for "training thousands of Arabs" before.. What do you mean? if you are talking about training muslims to fight the Russian occupation of Afghanistan then yes it did backfire in the end when they turned against America but this is very different.

Training a milita to retake a country is not the same as training an army of a country to take out a milita. Once again NATO forces are on the ground in Iraq training Iraqis, despite originally opposition to the invasion from France and Germany.

  • It didn't seem like a bad idea to "train" the mujahideen 30 years ago, either. I don't see how it's different in terms of potential blowback. Hopefully, history will be more kind on this one...for their sake. NATO is training the Iraqis, but not participating in any combat operations, largely because of opposition to the invasion. We can train them all we want...at some point, we're gonna have to leave. The question is how many more are going to die?

  • joshua7647 - "John McCain has spent time in the trenches, and now he isa man who knows who he is".

I hope you have better reasons to vote for the next president than that. Couldn't you say that about John Kerry?

Also, hearing Republicans bash "elitists" is like hearing Elton John bash gay people.

  • thank you

  • The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows:

John McCain leading Barack Obama, 47% to 42%. McCain also leads Hillary Clinton 50% to 40%.

Among unaffiliated voters, McCain leads Obama by eight percentage points and Clinton by fifteen.

Say hello to your next Commander in Chief

  • Nader freaks are so weird

  • As a rule, large capitalists are Republicans and small capitalists are Democrats, but workingmen must remember that they are all capitalists, and that the many small ones, like the fewer large ones, are all politically supporting their class interests, and this is always and everywhere the capitalist class. Eugene V. Debs

    VOTE NADER!

  • You realize Nader doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell, right?

  • Willtreme, I hope you're not insinuating that because someone doesn't have "a snowballs chance in hell", you shouldn't vote for them.

  • How about when John McCain told Wolf Blitzer that Bush's escalation in Iraq is going so well that "Gen. Petraeus goes out there every day in an unarmed humvee", or when he told Bill Bennett that "there are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods today". What a lying sack of shit! Are you gonna VOTE for that guy?

  • i don't know hey any mccain supporters want to debate i'm still trying to chose you i like as a cannidate!

  • Don't be bitter, have an ***New Candy*** Obama's Bitters: "R.I.G.H.T." The candy for [R]eligious, [I]mmigration Reformers, [G]un toting, [H]unters and free [T]rade concerned.

  • go MacCain!!

  • lol he just pwned obama in 6 seconds

  • The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows:

John McCain leading Barack Obama, 49% to 42%

He also leads Hillary Clinton 47% to 43%.

Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters nationwide disagree with Barack Obama's statement that people in small towns "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

  • Hey jerkoff...Hopefully the Secret Service is watching this

  • lol i hope so....

    fag

  • John McCain is truly a great man. The free world is lucky to have such people on it's side. McCain is a war hero, an inspiration, and generally a noble man of many qualities. He would make a most excellent statesmen because he has so much experience on his side.

If John McCain does not win in November then that is America out of business!

    John McCain 08!!

  • You are describing the portrait of the person.

You should describe him trought what you agree with him on his political agenda...

Your kind of comment's were the same who were said 8 years ago during bush's election.

And we've mysteriously stopped hearing those who said it 8 years later.

  • I love it...

  • "Whats stupid is allowing the past 8 years of failure to continue."

Actually, what's stupid is having blinders on and accepting the platitude that everything that has occurred over the past eight years is a failure.

Google "Geldof Bush Africa" if you assume that every liberal thinks everything's been a failure since 2000.

  • what a flip-flopper

  • I wish i could think of 1 good reaso to vote for any of those lying fakes, They are all a danger for this country

  • MCCAIN '08!!!

  • Gondeath... FoxNews is to conservative as CNN/MSNBC/ABC/PBS/NBC/ABC/CNBC/HNN is to liberal.

  • Gondeath... FoxNews is to conservative as CNN/MSNBC/ABC/PBS/NBC/ABC/CNBC/HNN is to liberal.

  • Horrid!!

    Obama o8!!

  • I implore other Democrats who have been duped into believing Obama's candidacy is a variation of the second advent of Christ, to consider the alternative. NO, not Mrs. Clinton, but Senator McCain. I know his policies for America are more sound and more oriented toward success. I am a Democrat who has not been lulled into thinking I have to vote for a Democrat. I have better mental faculties than that.

  • Not if your voting for any of the above. mcain is a warmongering idiot! We need another Choice! Pray for a miracle!maybe the delegates will get Ron Paul in.

  • I get so sick of these page long diatribes framing my choice for president as somehow being duped or uneducated.

Whats stupid is allowing the past 8 years of failure to continue.

  • Barack Hussein Obama is a creation of the "Main Stream" media. The guy is an amateur within the national arena of politics. He's absolutely unqualified for becoming the next President of the United States. Okay? I am not a supporter of his or Mrs. Clinton's. I believe, should one or the other ascend to the Pesidency, their ideologies will do Irreparable harm to our country. I am a registered Democrat who voted for Mr. McCain in the Primaries and WILL vote for him again in the General elections.

  • I can tell that McCain believes in free speech more than the other candidates because everyone can comment on these videos. Obama's videos have it so that all of the comments have to be approved so they are only positive.

    McCAIN 08!

  • He's trying to get acceptance from others, no one likes mccain...lmao.

  • "Trust me, there are 50% liberals on Fox News who piss me off on a daily basis."

Maybe in number, but in air time and the level of respect they give people (indicated by the words on the screen around the commentators) Fox news clearly has a Republican bias.

"Fair and balanced" -- Every News organization seems to have a slogan they can't live up to... I guess you can call it optimism.

  • "except for people who live in Michigan and Florida, their votes actually count"

Why does he point out the failures of the Republican party?

The Republican Florida Legislature changed the democrat primary date, not he Democrats (they just choose to penalize the date change since it was against the rules).

  • And who do you think it was in Michigan that passed legislation to have the Republican date moved up? Here's a hint, it wasn't the Republicans. I love the Democrats, they can't get their shit together in Florida and Michigan so they just blame the Republicans. It was a democrat that co-sponsored the bill in the Florida state Senate. The chairperson of the Florida DNC supported the idea of moving up the date. The DNC just can't take responsibilities for its own mistakes.

  • yeah my main problem with democrat thinking is getting their shit together too. It seems one party is quick to decide they are right and doesnt think it through, and the other thinks too damned much and cant decide what to do.

Its getting infuriating. I like McCain and Obama, but Obamas policies are more appealing to me. We'd all better get our heads out of our asses soon or we're gonna get nowhere.

  • If i was American 08 would be a really hard year for deciding what to do. Im far more of a democrat in line with dem policies on most things. Id feel pretty ashamed and dirty to vote for someone that continues to support the death penalty in the 21st century

It would also be amazing to see either a black or woman president of the richest and most powerful country on the planet.. talk about a boost for minority and women rights around the world

But Obama and Clintons policy on Iraq worries me

  • America will not win back the respect it seeks by running away and leaving the Iraqis to clean up the mess Americas president made. An American defeat in Iraq will be the biggest recruitment ad for Al Qeada since 9/11. The worlds most powerful military defeated by extremists, it sets a horrible precedent.

There is no reason why this war can not be won with the right leadership and considering McCains record and the fact he spoke out about the war being mismanaged years ago makes me think he can

  • Im curious as to what conditions need to be met to consider the operation a win? The Iraqi's arent any better at identifying who will create bombs in the name of god either.

How exactly would we know when the job is done?

  • A stable functioning Iraqi government which respects international law and is attempting to improve services and peoples lives in their country as the economy there continues to grow.

Because of the tactics used by the terrorists ofcourse its hard to identify and stop them. However if the borders with Iraqs neighbours were properly secured thered be far less extremists getting into the country with weapons.

The Iraqi people are going to trust other Iraqis more than they trust Americans.

  • A stable functioning Iraqi gov't? You mean the one that's under attack so often? There is less electricity now than before, so please don't talk about how the economy "continues to grow". We can't even secure our own borders, and now we want to secure theirs? Of course Iraqis trust each other more than Americans. We just destroyed their country, and now we are building massive military bases and trying to install yet another pro-western gov't. Sounds like a GREAT plan!

  • Ur right that extremism and terrorism wont just die out because American troops are on the ground.. Its about showing the Iraqi people that America offers a better future for Iraq than the extremists. Do you honestly believe the Iraqi people will be better off if the extremists actually win this conflict? Get real and its the same problem in Afghanistan

America needs to show its prepared to try and fix the problems it has created, to stay and help not just run away. Dont forget whos side ur on

  • Again, the problem is that the extremists aren't going away. For the billionth time, there are much larger sources of terrorism than Iraq (Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, UAE, etc.). They are surrounded by "extremists." For the billionth time, our presence escalates hatred and provokes more violence. Can't you see that your question is loaded? The extremists have already "won" in many ways. I don't know many people who have a problem w/ even our relatively small presence in Afghanistan.

  • Stew i fully accept and agree that the invasion and troop presence in Iraq has made us more enemies. It has pissed off Americas friends and allies, disunited a united world after 9/11 and yes has led to 100,000s of deaths. I hate George W Bush, he is one of the worst American presidents in history.

But we disagree on the way forward, if we can not win in Iraq then NATO cant win in Afghanistan. The two are linked and a defeat for America in Iraq will simply encourage our enemies in Afghanistan

  • The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are more "linked" than we would like. Why aren't we in Pakistan, who has the bomb...or Saudi Arabia, where the terrorism and western hatred are bred and have already attacked us? Oh wait, they're our "allies". There are many places in the Middle East and parts of Africa that harbor and breed terrorism. There is more of a link with the common hatred of the U.S. for all of the intervention/destruction and business interests/profiteering going on than anything.

  • Look these are arguments for BEFORE the invasion, when both the democrats and republicans in America supported the Iraq war. The situation in 2003 is not the situation of 2008

We should never of invaded Iraq, it has cost many lives and seriously damaged Americas image around the world, but im sorry today 1000s of Alqeada are in Iraq. They have a goal to defeat American forces there and whilst you may not like to hear it being called a retreat or defeat.. that is EXACTLY what running away is

  • Al-Queda accounts for less than 2% of the overall violence in Iraq, according to the Congressional Research Service. Even Bush called those responsible for the other 98% "other extremists". Kind of funny how the vast majority of what we hear in the "biased liberal media" regarding violence in Iraq is about Al-Queda. It's total bullshit.

  • It depends what you mean by job done, as pointed out before America won ww2 over 50 years ago and yet theres still troops in Japan. Theres American troops in the philippines helping to train the army there to take on extremists within their country

In time as the Iraqi government continues to bring about positive reform, as the Iraqi armed forces grows in strenght and in numbers less Americans will be needed on the ground. Building up a country from scratch takes a long time, but can be done

  • Japan and the Philippines are not the same as Iraq. Do you really think we can keep 20,000 or even 50,000 troops there over a period of time and sustain anything close to peace? You can't just stay in Iraq and expect "terrorism" to slowly disappear. You can't militarily dispose of an ideology...especially when you're not even in the right country. There are millions of extremists who are willing to die to harm anything western, and occupying Iraq only intensifies their hatred.

  • I used Japan and the pholippines as an example, ofcourse they are different at the moment but i dont hear people complaining about American troops being in those countries every day.

In time American forces will withdraw and so what if a 1000s remain on the ground there to help the Iraqi security forces continue to grow in strenght.

Your views dont help,America is NOT occupying Iraq. US troops are there under a UN mandate at the request of the Iraqi government.. Dont forget it

  • There are more contractors in Iraq than soldiers. We are building a military base there the size of Atlanta. We have completely destroyed that country, and it seems like we will be there for quite a while. I think that qualifies as "occupying" Iraq. We put the Iraqi gov't in power. They are under attack every other day. Like I said earlier...of course THEY want us to stay. They need all the protection they can get. The Iraqi people have never wanted us there.

  • Most Iraqis hated Saddam too and if security can be turned around leading to more reconstructions peoples attitudes towards America will change over time.

You seem to have a problem with the term "occupation". When America invaded Iraq it did occupy that country however national elections were held and welcomed by the United Nations.

Iraqs government is recognised by the UN and national governments around the world giving it ALL the authority it needs. Is the USA occupuing Japan still?
