You're missing something important. After the first two bends he pulls off to the previous fret. So on the B string when you do a full bend on the 8th fret, pull off to the 7th. Then after the half step bend on the 6th fret you pull off to the 5th. The pull offs are tricky because you have to have both middle and ring fingers on the B string while you do the big bends.

Watch a video called "Nirvana Heart Shaped Box Guitar ", it's the guitar track from In Utero by itself. You can clearly hear the pull-offs.

it sounds like you strike the A on the 7th fret twice. Is that right or does your pedal makes it sound like that

@ttttrigg3r No, he didn't strum twice, it was his pedal, but I like hitting it twice because I think it sounds cooler.
