To the Gavito knockers, What needs to be understood is that dance, including TANGO is always being infused with new ideas. All artistic expression thrives on innovation. Gavito was truly one of the greatest milongueros, having a unique sensual way of interpretation., His disticntive volcada positioning of his torso made him of cousre so famous that he toured the world. Amazing dancer but certainly not an amazing following. We who dance simply are AMAZED..His fame so well deserved.

Tango changes like everything else in this world. It doesn't matter what is the true or orginal tango was or is. Do what makes you happy, every person likes different things.

He was one of the greatest Milonguros and a wonderful teacher. Question what is the true Tango Apilado? fantasia? estilo confiteria? estilo Villa Crespo? can you giftoffire tell me? He danced the silencios of the Tango and tought me to respect them

I wonder where does the reputation of Gavito comes from ?? I have his videos and wrongly thought for many years that he represented the true tango...very recently I had to admit the truth: he was a jazz dancer who started attending milongas in his 40s. What a great pretender!
