@chris061290 the one thing that was not better on these old TVs was the channel selector dial. That was usually the first thing to break especially if you had young kids
Notice how the woman is touching the television and the man is not...this was an old way of advertising...the woman's "feelings" were supposed to be triggered in a positive way by the fact that she could "feel" the tv...but the man stayed a distance from it...at that time he was considered the "bread winner" and could not be emotionally attached to anything...albeit he could afford it because "logically-without the emotions" he could discern the value.
