Our country was founded, in part, on the Word of God. Even FDR recognized this. Almost every school founded was established to teach the Scriptures, including Harvard. Google founding fathers and the Bible and I think you will be surprised.
Now, if you want to argue that today, we have moved beyond that, that is an entirely different argument. But that our founders believed in Jesus Christ and that they provided a multitude of opportunities to expose us, is clear.
I am saying that one of the great freedoms in this country is freedom of religion. That means that being Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Atheist, or any other belief and it is fine in the United States. I also never said that you can't say don't kill people in a law. That is a just law. All religions have that as a law, and it makes sense.
