  • what the mayterial that u used?

  • @sarthakmessi11 i think its just called pickguard or scratchplate material . i got this piece from e bay

  • You have a bunch of differing skills man, what is your root trade?

  • @asatplayer thanks mightily for the comments . err , i dont really have one . ive heard people say that they knew what they wanted to do from being a child ....after my dinosaur interest faded i just knew i didnt want to do any one thing .

  • Dude, you're killin' me. It's almost like watchin myself, specially when the spaghetti tunes are haunting in the background. Anyway(s), I'm hoping to finally start adding pickguards to my guitars and you're the first decent vid/guide I've found. Big question: thicker is the key? (my first forays into the peekgard thang had me fighting thin feeble material...)

  • @MuttGuitars cheers , the material i got for this build was from e bay so i didnt really know how good it was gooin to be . it was kind of soft , so i had to put more screws in than i would have liked but it cut easily on the bandsaw with no chipping around the edges , and the mother of pearl finish was good and deep . i didnt realise it was two ply with a black back so i didnt put an angle around the edge as i would otherwise . in case it showed through where it was thinner

  • Awesome. I love these vids.

  • @canarycreek cheers skip
