The charges on Assange are questionable at best. The allegations are based on a story that was first denied then changed and retracted then recanted. If it weren't for the fact Assange exposed some government wrong doings he'd of beaver even been charged on some bullshit he is being accused of.

The risk I see is that Assange could turn out to be a disaster for an entire movement. He could single handly prevent it from growing or destroy it. Alternatively he could strenghen it, but in a movement that claims there are no leaders and shuns ego I can't see how a man like Assange would be beneficial as a representative. This is going to go down in history, imagine what'll happen if Assange turns out to be very bad and everyone is on video repeating his words. Perception is everything.
