My friend is in the army and said some guy did during his basic (not in his platoon). Apparently the guy not only held the grenade too long, but then dropped it in the trench in front of him. The drill instructor dove on him like the guy did in this video, but the cadet had one foot over the trench where the grenade blew and it took his foot off.

There's something weird about this vid. You can see the trajectory of the grenade via the smoke trail. It clears the sand bags(0:28) It's almost as if the soldier is throwing the grenade at a painting. Anyone know the real story? Is this a Chinese grenade instructor school? Also at the end, both soldiers acted as if they anticipated what was going to happen.
