  • one of my alltime great tunes

  • Top toon,, cant keep still to this

  • Like Kev Roberts says in his Top 5oo book..."If You Want Big Time Northern soul.....THIS IS IT"...

  • I bought a copy of this in the bogs at Nuneaton train station on the way to the Casino one night. I gave the lad 30 brown and clears and some speckly blues. I had it till 3 months ago when my new pup Jack Russell ate a handful of sounds Id got out to clean.

  • I just loveeeeeeeeee this choon its my life keep the faith

  • I hope Frankie Beverly is as proud of this as he will be over his maze stuff!

  • D.J.Molly Maguire, This is the definitive northern group soul 45 i have always loved this tune , just pure quality from beginning to end , in my top 5 all time great northern tracks, brilliant to listen to & fantastic to dance too aswell, keep it real brothers & sisters K.T.F.

  • As a Northeren Soul fan what number of really worthy tracks would the world have missed if we hadn't have taken the time out to find out. Sure we played some things that were just of the moment, however to our credit we discovered things the world should not have missed, therefore the world must be a better place because of us!

  • One of the best dancers in my book, full of passion, attitude and most importantly SOUL.

  • Hard to pick a favourite northern soul tune but this is in my top 5. KTF

  • The greatest tune ever created by anyone anywhere.

  • Classic Northern Soul, first played (on Gamble, not Sassy), in mid-late 1973 at Va-Va, Catacombs etc. Still sounds great today.

  • superb - the real foundations of a great scene : taken forward at the Mecca and the Ritz .

One of the giants , alongside George Clinton and others , that shaped Black American music

  • Hey Jim, This reminds me of everywhere I ever went as its one of the most enduring best Tracks ever and is testement to its quality that Everyone on the scene would put it in their top 20

  • Agreement totally with Jelboy : saw Frankie Beverly when he wondered into the Berlin club in Manchester after his gig back in 82 or 83 at the Apollo. Colin Curtis was dumbstruck and a few of the old timers from the early to mid 70s kept reminding him off this record !!! Unbelievable

  • Don't remember Robbie Vincent, but do remember JOHN Vincent who did Wigan Casino.

I still remember the buzz of buying it, nagging the dj till he played it, then dancing to it at an allnighter on Morecambe pier, few minutes after we'd all wandered over from the bar at The Midland Hotel. Bit of a moment it was - I'd just split up with an ex! Cheers mate, that's made my day that has. ktf
