Really looks like the PC users are hating about Mac users cuz they're jelaous.

I don't see any MAC user hating about PCs but i see lost of PC users hating about Macs.

I started with a Mac, then went to PC just cuz i couldn't play any good games, but them i got fed up with all of those problems with PCs and i went back to MAC even before this update. NEVER GONNA GO BACK TO PC

P.S On a MAC you can use bootcamp, parallels, crossover to emulate a PC, on a PC you can't, so...

@Sghirappakid96 LOL you can't do it the other way around cause your highly praised Mac OS X is designed to not run in virtual environments, so running it on Windows via VBox, VMware, VirtualPC and so on is impossible without some OSx86 hacks. Every software you named is proprietary and costs a shitload of money, on the PC side you got a lot more free and open projects... Windows (and Linux ofc.) is able to run in nearly every virtualization software, Mac OS not, thanks to the paranoia of Steve.

@nefarius2k8 I use crossover and it's a cracked version so i didn't pay anything and i didn't need any haks or nothing. You're right about the PC side that has loads of free stuff, but still PC get loads of viruses too and have always problems. I was just saying that PC hate on MAC so much and i don't find any other reason on why they should exept that they're jelauos...

@Sghirappakid96 Well, I can only speak for myself but I don't think people hate Mac users but Apples strategy: sell outdated hardware overpriced, combine it with software which only runs on their machines and limit almost everything the user can do. Ofc. Windows is the #1 target for virus programmers, but Mac OS itself isn't this bullet proov like everybody thinks (e.g. google metasploit). I had to recover data from a friends mac mini and it was a real pain, I couldn't get to the damn harddisk.

The mac version is terrible, I installed windows on my parents mac because I played it once, it lagged like hell and refused to open again. I'm so glad I have my gaming PC back up and running.

ATTENTION ALL! i know what the new engy shotgun does! dont say, "oh wow ur such a liar" because i do know. my brother's friend works for valve as an accountant and is friends with a game developer for half life. Anyway, the shotgun is called The Tumbleweed (yes, i no its a terrible name). Its a single shot shotgun with a slow reload and a shitty scope but much less bullet spread, much more damage, and almost twice the knock back of the force of nature. also there is 9-14 damage recoil damage.

-Has 1/2 the magazine.

-Doesn't get random crits, but instead "Revenge crits"

-When you get a kill with a sentry, you get 2 revenge crits, and 1 revenge crit with every sentry assist.

Picking up on what teranyan said, if you shoot a cloacked spy, it sticks a homing device on, making your sentries track said spy, but it'll do what valve does and nerf it's damadge

Actually if you think about it it shows us the difference between the platforms on the pc side we have the sniper striving for proficiency and excellence with pinpoint accuracy, the soldier power brutish power and with the direct hit a powerful unstoppable machine, and finally the engineer building powerful useful tools of battlefield domination. alternatively onthe mac side we have a one eyed drunkard, a russian bullet spraying thicky and the scout a whiny voiced speedster with no real power.

@pepjake demo can kill himself too usually because he can't take nearly as much damage from explosions, the soldier is more durable. the sniper can re correct and then kill. Engi can unleash hell and block sapping attempts. Dude its a joke uncork the tree from your ass and lighten up..

* the shotgun has a thermal like scope that can see and reveal cloaked spies

* it repairs all buildings in the vacinity based on rage like the buff banner

* it makes close range shooting harder and long range easier like what 04RTH said

* maybe its like an aimbot shotgun, weak portable sentry (unlikely)

this shotgun unlike the old one, actually has a stock and butt plate and a pattern on it, it resembles an Ithaca 37 deerslayer slightly but seems to have a battery or scope thing on it.

i still cant work out why a close range shotgun would have a scope on it, it might have a cache like its harder close range and easier to kill with long range. im still thinking like in my previous comment that it has some sort of effect

i think the shotgun might be auto like a benelli, but im confused as to why a close range shotgun would have a scope on it? but it might not be a scope, it might be some sort device which will be like a targe n charge or a bonk that has to recharge but is beneficial

@04RTH Its not a scope, although i also seen it as one first. It looks like a scope, but between the scope itself and the engineer(or the place where his eye would go) there is a small cube with an antena, which clearly covers the lens if that was a scope. It must be a wireless device!

For now, the port to Mac still needs to be optimised. The PC version makes use of DirectX, while Mac has to make use of OpenGL for graphics. The game as of now still run slower on Mac than they do on PC (on the same hardware).

Porting it from one to the other is no easy task, but I give kudos to Valve for making the effort. Let the new war commence!
