The fishing is great from mid August after the freshet ends till early May when freshet returns. That being said, I wouldn't waste the boat fuel now as it will be running like cement for at least another year till the Meager creek slide has finished washing through. Who knows, maybe five years?!!
I notice you posted this in October of '09 but is that what time of year it was when you were there. Looks like great fishing if you can get to it. I was thinking of running my jet up there sometime.
