The pride of the Irish Army has been out there for years and everyone thinks we sit on our hands and do bugger all!! XE(Formerly Blackwater) are dying to get out there and cause havoc but our boys, and other Polish, French, Georgian and Dutch troops, continue to soldier on... Can't wait til the Army starts recruitment again till I go out with the brave souls out there and shoot some rebel, murdering scum
I fought in this battle around his palace lost a lot of great friends. Let me tell you it was god damn intense I mean really You can hear how it was. I am an american who moved there and people talk about iraq being tough HA the americans wouldn't survive a second here. I mean we beat the libyans with Toyota technicals give us some credit Chad is kind of like africa's vietnam surprising victories in the push come to shove moments
If you are really interested in this topic, I suggest you get a shortwave radio and listen to Radio France International. They cover all sorts of newsabout West and Central Africa and they broadcast in English as well as French and other languages. Chad has been a tormented country for a very long time, but it is also a very interesting country.
The reason they move people back and forth, is to prevent them from being sitting targets. And this woman with the red shirt and glasses, subdue colors make you less than a target....

Great video! I work for Le Meridien in Libreville and the General Manager from our hotel in Ndjamena, Dominique, is coming to our hotel tonight. Is there anyway you could forward these videos to me as it guess it would make a hell of a souvenir for him.
We have already forwarded the links to our headoffice and I guess they finally understood what our staff and guests went through in Ndjamena.
Even if you can't send me the videos, many thanks for displaying them!
That's great Chris, thnx. Someone at Ned just reported they got an email message from Gabriel's sister saying that Gabriel and Katie-J and team will be part of a news story on CBS news tonight.
I'm glad that Gabriel and KTJ are in a secure location. It sounds like it's very bloody right now in N'Djamena from news reports Im reading. The rebels are also claiming to have taken areas in the east where thousands of refugees are, backed up by Sudanese govt gunships and janjaweed. If this is accurate, the EU needs to send in troops now! not good.

We are hearing reports that some of the refugee camps are being attacked. If this is true, tens of thousands of people's lives are at immediate risk (as I know, you know). Something must be done...and now.
CNN called last night and may use some of the footage, but I'll explore some of the other avenues...good idea ryanowa, thank you. We also just got word that Gabriel and KTJ have been evacuated and are now at the French base.

That shit sounded pretty serious for a few moments there. But I gather the Eurofags bribed them to hold off.
This was the country that once held Timbuktu as it's capital, non?

ryanowa, Gabriel and Katie-Jay have a video camera, laptop and satellite phone...so they are doing their own videos real time while they are there.

You should send these videos to CNN ireport and other news outlets like Reuters so people around the world can get a sense of whats happening there.
Stay safe.
