  • @ciankeaneable any catholic country that is doing well owes its success to the secular movement. Austria owes its success to Germany.

  • @djleesus, France is secular, Italy isn't doing too well, Spain has never been successful economically, and Germany is as protestant as it is catholic *Martin Luther*.

  • The Northern Irish are scumbag's.

  • Unionist's....You disgust me.

  • its not even about religion now some backward people in towns in the north still are sectarian but the first irish republicans were protestant men there was protestants in the provos officials and even the leader of the inla at one time was a protestant and his father was a die heart unionist

  • catholicism has ruined every country it has dominated. name one catholic country today that isn't dirt poor.

  • @conday1990 italy france germany spain

  • @conday1990 france isint poor austria isint poor germany is half catholic and it certainley isint poor!

  • @RichardElden. William of Orange used the English and Scots protestants to consolidate his power and enrich the Netherlands He was a Dutch Natinalist. A Dutch Historian friend of mine told me that. He neither liked nor trusted the English. His supporters at the Battle of the Boyne were little more than pawns. Believe me, I wouldnt have celebrated James II even if he' d wone. Like in South Park the choice was between a turd and a douche

  • @RichardElden. You tink the south is or ever was socialist. Are you being deliberately stupid. It s rampant capitalism and speculation that made a mess of things down here. Quite the opposite. Right wing Catholic Nationalism won out over socialist Republicanism at the founding of the Free State. Unfortunately. Hence one of the reasons for the Civil War and also why many old IRA men left the country in disillusionment

    Learn your history

  • Ironicly enough... The British trying to become ruler of the Dutch Provences... the Dutch stadholder became King of England :D

  • @Leroyfis

    LOL, Indeed

  • @Leroyfis You mean the Dutch born son of the Queen of England?

  • @Leroyfis The English welcomed him to become king because he was protestant.

  • Orange drum banging land grabbing bastards

  • @NosmadaTrebor1 priest bumming, bankrupt bastards

  • @Taiginator. The Irish were the first dissenting church in Europe you idiot. It was to bring them back to heel that Pope Urban (an Englishman) issued a Papal Bull for the Normans in Enland to take over. Dermot McMurrough gave them their excuse. Read James Connolly. He was opposed to the Catholic Republic. We still dream of a socialist United Ireland. I'll see it in my lifetime. And Irish and Sots Irish should learn to recognise theri common Origin and Cause. I myself have McDonald ancestors.

  • @TheFatalInstinct1. you know that version of history for a fact? Iberian Irish versus good British Ulstermen. Heresay. I would suggest that the peoples of Ireland and Britain at the time had more in common with each other than the Germanic Saxons, Jutes Angles, Danes, Norse and Normans whose Culture really rules Britain. Never shall Britons be slaves? They have been! for the last 1600 years!

  • What makes me laugh, was, the fact that, William of Orange was a protestant hero in europe, yet he was catholic...

  • @98randomuser no he wasn't...

  • @wingman662 "Proddies" as you call them and Catholics are branches of Christianity, idiot, that is what they have to do with Jesus.

  • @mrssukie142 No it's no ones fault, Ulster has always been Scottish N.British land, it's always had more in common with them, the evil Irish came from Iberian invaders and slaughtered all of Ireland except for Ulster.

So you are free in Ireland, free to get bummed by your Roman Catholic priests to your hearts content.

  • I been reading these comments and childish as they are your both wrong The battle was fought on the 1st of july 1690 about polictics with catholics and prodestants on both sides there where no scotch troops on williams side they where on james side william had Danish a nd Dutch troops there where no English involved and it was an insignificent battle as far as history goes SO WHATS THE POINT GET OVER IT.

  • @barflyme You're so right. But. If you looked at it from a 17th century Low Lands view. And a lot of predomantly protestant northern European countries too. They werent eager to have another catholic neighbour (stupid religious views back then). Catholic oppression was very harsh during, and prior to those days in the Low Countries (Im Dutch). Nevertheless, It's sad to see this event still have a legacy of violence and intollerance. personally I have no problems with Welsh, Irish and Scots.

  • "[They] were fighting for their country and their religion." What a load of bollox. William of Orange was sanctioned by the Pope. And his army comprised mainly of Dutch and Danish troops. Which country were they fighting for? This is Peter Snoo and son dumbing down military history again.

  • thank God for partition, sounds like the south stll needs more money, tut tut,

  • in a strange way the Catholic side were loyalists here, after all James was the rightful King and William was actually pretty weak

  • And the cry was NO SURRENDER!

  • no surrender

  • JAUN MACREADY WILL U FUCK UP YA FENIAN CUNT WEVE BEAT YE IN EVERY BATTLE WEVE HAD SO JUST U FUCK OFF DOWN SOUTH for example in ur siege of derry u outnumbered us 5:1 we still cried no surrender after 58 days of starvation u heard shouting and thought u won but it was us screaming no surrender then at the boyne and enniskillen... i can name more but i cant be bothered . do u think anything has fucking changed WE STILL CRY NO SURRENDER

  • @TheUlsterScot1 was the besieging army at Derry not a Scottish Catholic Army of Highlanders ? If you can give me a civil non-sectarian reply id be interested.

  • @TheUlsterScot1 and was King Billy's best troops at the Boyne not The Catholic Dutch Blue Guard who carried the Papal bannar at the Boyne...

  • JAUN MACREADY WILL U FUCK UP YA FENIAN CUNT WEVE BEAT YE IN EVERY BATTLE WEVE HAD SO JUST U FUCK OFF DOWN SOUTH

  • championy championy olay olay olay

  • even if the british could beat the provos or the ira or what ever you want to say ... you still ...suck british people just generally suck i dont even know how to describe it you just suck you're like the yanks just generally for the most part shitty people not like everyone in england but like alot you you english just suck an make bad jokes and drink like girls its sad... like we dont hate you anymore because your protestant we hate you because you suck

  • you are one sad fucker i didnt realise until after i replyied to one of you comments you had the time in our sad life to write about 5 comments you fucking sad irish fuck just accept it us brits are better always have always will dont argue with the truth...

  • @MRAK47ification I'll accept no such thinbg, why should I when you've never been able to beat us, despite having ten times our population we've handed your asses to you on a plate, kicking the shit out of you 90 years ago and kicking you out of our country, and we're still at it in the north today you pathetic fucking british mongrel lol.

  • @OpeningSalvoe look you used gurilla warfare i know its embarrasing but remeber hmmmmm loughgall for example when we british decided to use gurilla warfare remember we hid we hid in the forest and waited using those dirty tactic using them and look what happend you where absaloutly shredded infront of that police station and the SAS where gone within minuetes excuse my spelling im not sad like you i dont recheck the whole coomment for mistakes ffs fucking dumb micke

  • @MRAK47ification lol I just knew you were some stupid insecure limey cuntstain who wasn't going to be able to let this go. Once again you dyslexic illiterate retard, it's spelt G.E.U.R.I.L.L.A warfare lol. ahahahahaha!! Loughall wasn't an example of guerilla warfare you fucking muppet, you obviously have no idea what it is. Those people were unarmed, they were ambushed and made to lie down on the ground then shot in the head. Now THAT'S COWARDLY and typical of the SAS or any other british...

  • @MRAK47ification ...military force, you just try going up against an enemy that has you outnumbered 60/1 and is backed up by superior fire power, choppers, APC's etc, and still kick their arses, now that's effective guerilla warfare, so do yourself a favour you dopey hun and just shut up now before you embarrass yourself any further, because not only have you no idea what you're talking about, you can't even fucking spell properly lol lol.

  • @OpeningSalvoe waow why do you tell me you won whatnot this video proves alone how us british protestants absaloutly owned you ffs

  • @MRAK47ification Why do I tell you we won? Ummmmm hang on a second, maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're no longer here, yes i'd say that's what it is alright.

  • @OpeningSalvoe Oliver Cromwell was the greatest man who ever lived.

I'm glad that terrorist Michael Collins got the violent ending he deserved.

We in the North will never be joined with your bankrupt EU state.

  • @JuanMacready No Michael Collins was a great man, he led us to victory of you filth, his brilliant leadership kicked you vermin out of our country forever, and for that I will be eternaly grateful to him, Cromwell on the other hand was nothing more than a despicable child murderer and genocidal maniac, and he got his ass handed to him at the siege of Clonmel at the hands of the great Irish leader Hugh Dubh O'Neill, now they were great men, Cromwell was nothing but a terrorist.

  • @OpeningSalvoe No Collins was a terrorist who thankfully got the violent ending he deserved, long before the civil war ended. All southern Ireland is today is a bankrupt slave of the EU, 50 billion Euros just to bail out the banks. I keep a framed portrait of Oliver Cromwellon the wall. So glad things are so much better up here in the North!

  • @JuanMacready Things are much better up the north? ahahahahahahaha!! Oh yeah things are much better up there in that impoverished, leeching, scrounging, useless, handout dependent war ravaged little shithole you have the nerve to call a country, you people are completely lacking in any self sufficiency whatsoever and depend on handouts from the rest of the UK in the form of billions of pounds a year, you've even been coming down south with your begging bowl looking for money from us...

  • @JuanMacready ...in recent years, you're a bunch of completely shameless sponging layablouts. As for Collins he was a great man who put your people squarely in their place, which is in a box in the ground, something i'll be forever grateful to him for, as for Cromwell nothing makes me happier than to think of his undignified end, being drawn and quartered and having his head mounted on a spike outside the tower of London. TAL

  • @OpeningSalvoe No, people can't move below the border because they would lose their benefits.

  • @JuanMacready Exactly, benefits that you're entirely dependent on lol.

  • @MRAK47ification a fact the two british new typhoon jets could destroy the irish military completley thats a fact!

  • Hi all. Just read some remarks about Catholics on this page, it now confirms to me that we the Irish who have always being here, Where rite to leave the Union of G.B .At the end of the day, it was a big Family row and you know what people say , you should never get involved , who needs Kings or Popes in a Republic

  • Comment removed

  • haha dumb as catholics cant win man to man or using the dirtiest of tactics also known as gurilla warfare bomb snipe run back to your cave you dirty terrorist irish failures

  • @MRAK47ification Really? Those tactics seemed to work pretty well for us 80 years ago when we handed your asses to you on a plate with them you grovelling hun bastard, lol are ya loving the fact that your taxes are now paying Addam's and McGuinnesse's wages. Oh yes our day is coming don't you worry.

  • @OpeningSalvoe its gurilla warfare anybody can use it the British and Americans are at the highest level of supremacy military wise but though matter how big and dominant you are you cant win when the cowards your against are using gurilla warfare the russians tried it they failed the Americans tried it they failed we British tried it we sorta failed but i guess we had the best run because we made the enemy surrender but you get the point

  • @MRAK47ification First of all it's spelt "Guerilla" not "Gurilla" and secondly no I don't see your point. Any army worth it's salt doesn't bitch about the tactics used by the enemy, war is war, anything goes, you do whatever you have to, to win, and if you can't overcome the enemie's guerilla tactics then that first of all says a great deal about the fighting prowess of your enemy and secondly the incompetence of your own forces. I fail to see how a small paramilitary force going up against a...

  • @MRAK47ification ...fully fledged miliary that out numders and completely out guns them could be considered cowardice, if you couldn't defeat an enemy which was infinitely smaller, and with every possible advantage on your side then that says a lot about your military doesn't it? Perhaps it shows an unwillingness to engage the enemy, to fight, perhaps it shows real cowardice on your part. Guerilla tactics are battle proven and highly effective, as has been proven by the Mujahideen's victory...

  • @MRAK47ification ...over the Soviets, or the Viet Congs victory over the U.S army, or the I.R.A's victory over the british army. I don't know what you're talking talking about, the British never got anybody to surrender, General Mike Jackson aswell as Tony Blair have both admitted that they could not defeat the I.R.A, you were forced to negotiate peace terms with them precisely because you couldn't beat them, and give their leadership seats in your government, are you crazy? You are the ones...

  • @OpeningSalvoe theres no ira in the UK anymore is there nah fuck off sorta explains who won and the IRA chief leader tramp whatever admitted you could not defeat the british army dumb ass tramp

  • @MRAK47ification hahahahaha!! Now now temper temper, just because the truth hurts lol.

  • @MRAK47ification ...who surrendered, not the other way around. Anyway I don't even know why you've brought up the subject of guerilla warfare with me as I never mentioned it.

  • fenian blood by any chance

  • The Battle of the Boyne was a great day. I enjoyed King William III's violent reconquest of Ireland.

  • @JuanMacready How could you have enjoyed it you weren't there you dickhead.

  • @OpeningSalvoe It was almost as good as the sieges of Wexford and Drogheda!

  • @JuanMacready I'm more of a fan of the battle of the biscuits or the siege of Derry where you had to be rescued by a hunchbacked homosexual Dutch dwarf.

  • Is there any archaeological evidence to prove this battle actually took place?

  • @HumanSayNo It was fought on a river bank 400 years ago. Perhaps you could find bits of fragmentation of musketballs.

  • @grobo11 - Do you really think no one has ever tried? Even metal detectors have found nothing!

  • @HumanSayNo Well like I said, it was on a river bank and most evidence was probably washed down the boyne.

  • @grobo11 - And Im sure any archaeologist worth his salt would have added that to the equation. Other battles of a similar era still give up their secrets every year in England.

  • @HumanSayNo This is true the scene of the battle of Newark (Englsh civil War) yielded pistol ball making machines and lots more just beneath the topsoil-more or less intact.

  • When will we ever learn, religion, the biggest cause of war throughout history, shit on it!

  • @ephabouyed Religion is the excuse people give to kill each other. If there was no religion, they'd find something else.///James was deposed because English bankers knew an absolute king would never grant charter for a central bank. William of Orange came from the only country in Europe that had a central bank. It helped fuel the expansion of the Dutch Empire. The bankers struck a deal and financed William's invasion. The Bank of England was established 4 years after James' deafeat at the Boyne.

  • @ephabouyed

Absoulutely as Richard Dawkins once wrote.

"Religion is the most inflammatory enemy labeling device in history"

You could say the same of any European nation.
