Heemeyer perched some property and built a muffler shop. Until 2001 when the person who owned the property that Heemeyer was trespassing on to get to his shop. Up and sold the land that Heemeyer was trespassing to some one else. You see Heemeyer the imbecile bought land locked property. The new owner refused to let Heemeyer continue to trespass on it.
Next Heemeyer tried to get the city gov. to steel the other person land and force a easement on to legal land owner. It appears the city stuck up for the legal land owner.

1.) He did this because it will show the politicians how do you feel when your helpless. He spend millions to protest against a construction factory that blocked the road to his muffler shop. He made countless appeals but were denied so the town could make profit off the construction factory.

Untrue. he had video cameras installed behind lexan and monitored his progress on small TVs inside the dozer. He made an error in design and could not lower the elevation of his weapons which is why he didn't hit anything that he aimed at. Although when Cody climbed into his front-loader to try and flip the dozer over Marv fired a couple of .50 cal rounds right through the bucket on the loader. Cody was a hero, NOT Mad Marv!

You know nothing about this story, Marv was always looking for a quick buck. He tried every avenue to prevent Cody from expanding his business after his own deal with Cody fell through (all due to Marv's greed). He tried using the zoning board against Cody, that failed. He brought in the EPA (a joke considering how destructive Marv was to the local enviornment), that failed. Don't believe the idiots on this site educate yourself. Marvin Heemeyer is an American Hero. The whole reason this rampage started is that the ass hats at the Granby Zoning Board wanted to put a huge concrete batch plant next to the site of Heemeyer's muffler shop. When he refused to move, the town slapped him with fines, cut off his sewer and electrical service and fined him for THAT, and rode him out of town on a rail. Sometimes you need to take a bulldozer to an entire town to show those stuffed suit assholes what's up. R.I.P. Marv.
UNTRUE! When Cody went to expand the plant Marv saw an opportunity to make a quick buck by selling his property to Cody. When Cody wouldn't accept Marv's offer, Marv went on a one man crusade to stop Cody from expanding his own business. He tried everything including the EPA (and Marv was no friend to the enviornment) and lost. His battle with the town was over the fact that he had tapped into town water but not the sewer system (as required) and was dumping raw sewage into the ground.

In fact Marv bought me a beer once, I used to live just two blocks away from his muffler shop and the cement plant. If he hadn't been such a greedy quick buck artist he would have sold his property to Cody Doucheff and you never would have heard of him. He destroyed bussiness and public buildings. He only damaged one home. He killed no one but himself after the dozer became immobilized and cops were climbing all over the machine. He stood up for himself and for others. He showed that you gotta be careful who you push around, cuz they just might come back with a KILLDOZER!
If it were your home, or your parents would you say the same thing? All reports show that many of the people got out of the buildings just in time only because the police got ahead of the dozer.

I do not believe this man intended to kill people with his dozer. He had three rifles and two handguns in there with him and yet he did not shoot anyone.

Marv Heemeyer did phone into the local police station ahead of time and told them to evacuate the town. they used a reverse 911 system and told everyone to evacuate, but some didn't get out i'm sure. Not condoning what he did, just stating that he did not intend to kill anyone. He was, however, wrong in his dispute. He didn't own the land that he was using, and the city was going to put it to better use, prividing jobs. He was a nut, but luckily, a nut with a conscience.
Not true he did not warn anyone. The police first were notified by Cody the cement plant owner, who tried to stop the bulldozer with his front end loader. But when .50 cal. bullets came through the bucket of his loader he had to abandon the loader.

I don't get the true American Hero part. He obviously went nuts, he was saying god told him to do it, yet there are pictures of him building the tank, they knew anybody that was stable wouldn't go on a killing spree? They knew he was going to kill himself. But not one of his friends or family thought to try and stop him or help him. 1.) He did this because it will show the politicians how do you feel when your helpless. He spend millions to protest against a construction factory that blocked the road to his muffler shop. He made countless appeals but were denied so the town could make profit off the construction factory.
2.) He shot himself with an revolver when the engine failed and the radiator was damaged.

Untrue. he had video cameras installed behind lexan and monitored his progress on small TVs inside the dozer. He made an error in design and could not lower the elevation of his weapons which is why he didn't hit anything that he aimed at. Although when Cody climbed into his front-loader to try and flip the dozer over Marv fired a couple of .50 cal rounds right through the bucket on the loader. Cody was a hero, NOT Mad Marv!

He tried every avenue to prevent Cody from expanding his business after his own deal with Cody fell through (all due to Marv's greed). He tried using the zoning board against Cody, that failed. Marvin Heemeyer is an American Hero. The whole reason this rampage started is that the ass hats at the Granby Zoning Board wanted to put a huge concrete batch plant next to the site of Heemeyer's muffler shop. When he refused to move, the town slapped him with fines, cut off his sewer and electrical service and fined him for THAT, and rode him out of town on a rail. Sometimes you need to take a bulldozer to an entire town to show those stuffed suit assholes what's up. R.I.P. Marv.

UNTRUE! When Cody went to expand the plant Marv saw an opportunity to make a quick buck by selling his property to Cody. When Cody wouldn't accept Marv's offer, Marv went on a one man crusade to stop Cody from expanding his own business. He tried everything including the EPA (and Marv was no friend to the enviornment) and lost. His battle with the town was over the fact that he had tapped into town water but not the sewer system (as required) and was dumping raw sewage into the ground.

He was incompetent! He tried to shoot a lot of people (myself included) but he mounted his weapons incorrectly and couldn't lower the barrel's of his guns enough to hit what he was aiming at. If he wanted to hurt people, people would have been hurt. Plan and simple.

He was never put on tv,no one ever interviewed him,and he did kill himself after it was all over.He was a man that stood up for himself and possible everyone else that gets pushed around!!

Bah, Heemeyer was a monster. Yes, the others were wrong the way they destroyed his business, but he went too far. He claims that "God told him", but the Christian/Catholic God's son taught to bless them that curse you, and most importantly, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL". He was not religious, he was just a nutcase.

True, but there is no proof that he didn't try. He was hardly able to aim, and he fired the weapons... he had no way to be sure he didn't kill anyone; he was a nutcase.

He destroyed bussiness and public buildings. He only damaged one home. He killed no one but himself after the dozer became immobilized and cops were climbing all over the machine. He stood up for himself and for others. He showed that you gotta be careful who you push around, cuz they just might come back with a KILLDOZER!

If it were your home, or your parents would you say the same thing? All reports show that many of the people got out of the buildings just in time only because the police got ahead of the dozer.
I disagree with you, should I bulldoze your house and then claim I standing up for people?

I do not believe this man intended to kill people with his dozer. He had three rifles and two handguns in there with him and yet he did not shoot anyone.
Moreover, I believe he was standing against local government for running his business into the ground and destroying his livelyhood. If you bulldozed my house, you could not claim standing up for anyone because I am not oppresing anyone.

But the houses he bulldozed were in part private. What about the families of the people he targeted?
And he did fire at officers, I was shot at once (I grew up in a bad area) and just because I wasn't hit doesn't mean the person wasn't trying to kill me.
The library he bulldozed was occupied with children who were evacuated minutes before. He had no way of knowing if the people fled the library, but crushed it anyway. Doesn't sound heroic to me.

You respond to a comment I made saying Heemeyer fired at officers. I believe he was firing on them to try to scare them off. With the firearms he had, if he really wanted to kill them, he would have. Moreover, they were firing on him, weren't they?

It's not easy to hit a person while. He could have just been a bad shot. I once got shot at in Newark and this punk missed me when he fired from his car at least ten times.

He had two scoped rifles, as well as an FNC and two handguns. Officers were frequently within a few yards of the Killdozer. I believe is Heemeyer really wanted to kill an officer, he would have done it. Perhas he only fired on them to try to keep them away so they would not get hurt?

Not a killing spree but he didn't care that his actions could have hurt innocent people, and he did fire on state troopers and cops (who despite popular opinion are in fact people with families as well) so I think Psycho Douchebag is an apt description.

He was a bitter hater just like YOU! And the most incompetent and crooked muffler man I've ever encountered. The reason he didn't kill anyone was that he screwed up on his gun placement and couldn't hit anything he aimed at. His last act was going to be digging up as many graves in the Catholic cemetery as he could! He simply hated Catholics... how does that have anything to do with his problems (all of his own making) with the town.

Marv Heemeyer did phone into the local police station ahead of time and told them to evacuate the town. they used a reverse 911 system and told everyone to evacuate, but some didn't get out i'm sure. Not condoning what he did, just stating that he did not intend to kill anyone. He was, however, wrong in his dispute. He didn't own the land that he was using, and the city was going to put it to better use, prividing jobs. He was a nut, but luckily, a nut with a conscience.

Not true he did not warn anyone. The police first were notified by Cody the cement plant owner, who tried to stop the bulldozer with his front end loader. But when .50 cal. bullets came through the bucket of his loader he had to abandon the loader.

Ba, he's no hero. Just some guy who was wronged and thought the city would help him. When they didn't he destoryed the businesses of all involed. Wouldn't call him a villian, just some crazy guy who REALLY hated to lose.

Clyde was a killer without regard for anything but what he wanted. Pure evil there imo... even if others romantices his escapades. This dude was just a dilusional (speel check plz :P ) guy who felt he was cheated by a company (he was there) and then the "system" (he shoulda took it higher than some "city council" who let him down).
I'd of tried opening another muffler shop before flying off the deep end, but then again he felt he was pushed pretty hard.
