  • I don't understand why expervillage only put fragments of how to do things in each video, what about the rest of the recipe!?

  • forget about the lemon, instead rasp an onion on the grater. then it is traditional german. - without onion it`s the" jewish lattkes". but please no lemon, they dont grow in europe!

  • Lemon is used sometimes to "cleanse" the potato flavor or prevent rust (to keep them from turning brown from exposure to oxygen once they are cut)

  • looks great

  • You don´t need lemon. The original potato-pancake (kartoffelpuffer / reibekuchen) is only with potato, onion, a litte bit farina, an egg and a litte bit salt and pepper. Finish!

  • your cute, you can cook for me anytime!

  • Hö mient der Kartoffelpuffer? xD

  • wth are the subtitles for

  • What else do you do with the tomatoes - do you fry it on the pan or ?

  • Mmm. Potato pancakes. My german 'uncle' and 'aunty' made some for me once. Addictive.

  • I'm german and ive never eaten potato pancakes :/

  • Noch nie Kartoffelpuffer gegessen? ;)

  • Auch bekannt als Reibekuchen :) Mh lecker

  • Also ich hab auch noch keinen gegessen oder auf einem Menue gesehen. Aber gut, München ist vielleicht nicht Deutschland :P

I know potatoes only as a side dish. whole and boiled or cut and fried or some else, but not as "pancake" or anything like shown in the clip. but well, maybe elsewere in germany..

  • I've lived in Munich, Augsburg, and Stuttgart...where Kartofelpufer were served...often with applesauce.

  • Kreppelcher!

  • 1. I'll try out the idea with the citrons. thx for the advise.

    2. lol @2:00 "throw away the leftovers" and then at 2:13 "we wanna use all of it"...
