  • I'm ridiculous and i find this german!

  • I speak enough German to be able to tell you that this is not factual.

    It is actually pronounced, iyeeeehhhhhroodletootin.

  • Stop copying Pronounciation Manual.

  • naja gibt schönere aussprachen!!! schlecht

  • Oh man I have an igshhh on my back.

  • Please change the title to "How to pronounce üsh"...

  • we all know that from rammstein ! xD

  • GUYS! This isn't PronouncitationManual!

Its pronounciationbook, they pronounce everything wrong

  • @DominateStudios yeah, it's a big hoax! Thanks for warning me man.

  • D'Aget haget wenn's taget.

  • according to the like bar, people really get pissed off when they are being told how to pronounce something right

  • Try this: ,,Isch'' and you have the german slang! :D Ey, Bruder hauta rein! :D

  • thought this was pronunciationmanual

  • @TheAnima16 -.-

  • Sounds like someone looking at 3 samples of wallpaper and deciding that all of them are too tacky.

  • you failed. you... failed... you failed.

  • I'm a native English speaker, and I can say "Ich" with no trouble.

I don't know why some people pronounce it closer to the French "ch", not like "hy" without the "y".

  • schwuuuuula!

  • This guy is obviously not a native speaker cuz he speaks the "ch" like an "sh" ;-)

But I am a native speaker and I created a video especially for that sound!

In it I will give you will get some strategies on how to practice it.

And if you have problems with the german "r" sound, I created a video for that too ;-) Cheers!

  • I spent ages practising how to say this with my german and austrian friends and this is nothing like how I say it. I say it like a cross between the and k

  • bless you

  • how wrong can you say "ich". this video must have thaken him 2 hours to make. and still its completly bulls**

  • イッヒ

    イッヒ

    イッヒ

  • ch, not sch!

  • You make "Ich" sound like it's definition is that gay game you do with your buddy.

If you can't pronounce it, make a troll vid. Not a wannabe-able-to-say vid.

Oh and while you're at it, call Duitsland by it's name.

  • In english there are so many problems with the pronunciation, better learn spanish. In spanish always all the vocals sounds the same.

  • @ivesaaron in italy too:)

  • @PispBuff Yeah, on Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, the vocals sounds the same. But Spanish is the 3rd most spoken language XD.

  • @ivesaaron that's true xD

  • sounds like >> ish?

  • You're so egoistic.

  • @oREDWINEo you forgot a letter...

  • @MrCharlesmansun Challenge accepted.

  • The 'CH' in alot of German words, depending on the dialect, is a sound like a cat's hiss, when imitated by a human. The air should be squeezed between the roof of the mouth and the tongue.

It is also sometimes 'Ish' or 'Ik'

    But mostly 'I(hiss)'.

  • @42JohnnySmith Like a cat's hiss? Come on, man^^

  • @Staudinka Actually he's completely correct. The video makes it sound like "ish", but it's really a sound like a cats hiss. That is exactly how my German professor taught us. Try hissing like that, then just put an "i" in front of the soft hiss.

  • @fearisaphobia I know how to say "Ich", I'm Austrian after all. I just don't think it sounds like a cat's hiss, but I guess it's ok as long as it is helpful ;)

  • @Staudinka Well in Germany thats how its pronounced, isch. Its how I grew up saying it, and I how I still say it. Remembe Austrian German isnt exactly the same as German from Germany, very similar but a few different things here and there.

  • @HappyIsFleeting Yeah, but I'm talking about "Hochdeutsch" anyway, not some dialect.

  • @HappyIsFleeting no, thats incorrect. I´m a native german speaker, and it´s definitely wrong to pronounce "ich" like "isch". The problem is, that many native english speakers are not able to pronounce "ch" in the correct way. The same thing on the other hand, that native german speakers often have problems with the "th" and pronounce it like "s". (instead of "them" "säm"...)

  • @MrsStrawberryMint Which city? I was born in Berlin and Grew up in Ramstein. Every Native I know, including myself, says it that way. I know the vast majority do say it a couple different ways, I'm not a native english speaker either.

  • @MrsStrawberryMint I grew up in Germany though I know that there are a few ways to say "ich" I am a navite German speaker, and to be quite honest, even if I weren't I would have excelled in the language.

  • @HappyIsFleeting to your question: I am German. I was born in Munic, and since a long long time I live in Hanover. Btw, the dialect in Munic is also diffrent, native Bavarians speak "ich" like "iii" (pronounce it like three times the "e" in "geek"). And, really important is, that all cultured and educated germans, which are able to speak their reagional dialect, are also able to speak clear standard german! And there is no need for you to be so offended by my valid critics!

  • @MrsStrawberryMint Why would I be offended? Critisism is good, and thank you for calling me out on any bullshit. also, sorry about the spam, my internet freaked out and my computer decided it was tired(it restarted).

  • depends on your dialect really...

  • so if i say i love you..i would say... ishh leibi dish?

  • @karolino19 no, for sure not.

  • @karolino19 ja, something like it, but hard too tell, especially because I don't know how you pronounce your i, in the end of liebe.

    ich liebe dich.

I am not German, but Danish:)

  • You! You! You!

  • @Vuvenz isch is the better way (;

  • Comment removed

  • gesundheit.

  • @Vuvenz

if you say 'isch' people could think ur from hesse, so it's not that bad if u say 'isch'.

it just sounds like hessian and it's cool if people speak german with an german dialect ;)

  • why does the ch here does not sound like an x

  • Comment removed

  • I pronounce it "Ick."

  • @DeloreandudeTommy then you did it wrong.

  • warum nicht alle wörter in einem video ......-_-

  • Mehr Zuschauer und mehr Werbung?

  • Warum höre ich hier Ähch?!? spy

    Also ich klingt irgendwie anders.

  • @P090p0k3 how the fuck can you compare a three-letter-word to "ultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis"?

  • @svelle37 have no idea...

  • Ick, not Ish.

  • @ManofWario

    neither is correct

  • wrong

  • Frost Shout?

  • isch!

  • @luhotgirl91 Guess you haven't spent much time in Berlin.

  • The book was better.

  • this guy sucks

  • wrong channel, back to the manual!

  • It's really very close to the proper pronunciation. This word definitely does not have a "SH" sound, as some suggest, nor is it pronounced "ICK", as others think. The "CH" sound in German is pronounced in the throat.

  • @MrWordNerd555 It varies depending on the dialect. Depending on what part of Germany you're in, it can have an "ick" or "ish" sound, although it's typically a gutteral sound or something in between the two.

  • EACH With SH.. EASH (english way of writing it so you would pronounce it correctly) ICH!

  • @emlouisebitch WRONG!

  • Its ihh fuck the others

  • It's pronounced like "ish" (or "isch" without emphasis on the 's')...

  • @blutfrosch nop

  • @blutfrosch No it's 'Ich' he pronounced it right, lol.

  • @AmyXRuby no, he said it the way it was written, but it's pronounced diffrently

  • @blutfrosch WRONG!

  • <-german

That sounds like "Isch" (It's not a word)

  • ... I always thought you spelling it nine.. ^^^^^^

  • its better than the most of the 5-30 years old people in germany pronounce the "ich"

  • i am from germany and this is "like this and like that" ...... come on guys... do you really think that your englisch pronounciation is 100 % correct ?

  • It's more like "irh"

  • there is no cha cha or she she or any soft 's' sound whatsoever in "ich" - it is is a soft 'k' - 'khkhkhkhkhkhk'

  • ICK

  • I though ich was pronounced like "eeck" Well something like that...I'm not even German!

  • .... WILL ! Rammstein :D

  • nope, sorry

  • wrong

  • That pronounciation is correct!!! ;)

  • Ich bin deutscher und ihr seid ausländer ^^

  • @Supergamer4able

    Die meisten zumindest :3

  • @Supergamer4able Ich = "ish" Ich =/= Ick

  • @terceldude

    Berlin : icke

    Dresden : ish

    Munich: Ie

    Hamburg: Ick

    Hannover: ich (standard high german)

  • @HesseJamez Then why does German rapper Fler and all German rappers from Berlin pronounce it like "ish"??? :)

  • @terceldude

German rappers use an own language, called "Kanaksch", a kind of lingo in immigrant ghettos.

99% of our rappers aren't native Germans.

  • @HesseJamez But FLER is a native German!!

  • @terceldude He tries to be like an immigrant.

  • @MrWeezler hahahaha who? Fler or the uploader of the video? :D

  • @HesseJamez Massaka 36 Boyz are not though..Their from Turkey...But the rest of the native German rappers I hear say "Ish" instead of "ikh"

  • You've got to be shitting me! It's like eesh but more breathy, so the "sh" part is more silent... ugh

  • @travelinblues89 He purposefully pronounces these words wrong!

    Watch "How To Pronounce Bird"!

  • @sporecreatorperson You didn't notice that "pronunciationManual" and "pronunciationbook" are two different persons, the first one makes this for fun, the second one really tries to pronounce things.

  • @SeichiroKun ...oh

  • The color is more yellow-ich...

  • "is" in a dutch accent

  • sounds like hitting someone isch isch isch!

  • Thats cool. The first German word I hear from you that is a little bit correct^^

  • that was the only one that was quite decent so far :D

  • ISIHISIHSIHISIhISIHGSIHISIHISHISIHSIDISIHSIHSIHISHSIHISHISIHSIHISHISISIHISHISIHSHISHISIHISHISHISIHSIHISHISIHSIHISIHSIHISHISHISHISIHISHISHISHISHISIHHISHISIHSHISHISIHISHISHISIHSIHISISIHSIHSIHISHISIHISIHSIHISHSHISHISIHSIIHSIHISIHISIHSIHSIHISHISIHISHISIHISIHSIHIISHIISHIISHIIHSIHSIHSIHSIHISIHSIHISIHISIHISIHISIHISIHISIIHSIIHSIHISIHISIHISHSIHISHIISHISIHISIHISHISIHISIHISHISIHISIHISIHISIHISIHSIHISIHISIhISIHISIHISIHISHISIHISIHISIHISHIISHISIHISIHISIHSIHISHISIHISIHISHISIHISHIISIHSIHISIHISIHISHIISHISIHISHISI

  • Ni!

  • EE-ch

  • guzuntite!

  • There's no way to describe how the ch is supposed to be pronounced, but it's not an "sh" sound. You'd just have to listen to someone say it.
