Sadly Gopal is lying blatantly. Prabhupad claimed women r inferior to man, not equal cuz woman's brain weighs 34 ounces n man's 64 ounces. Secondly, Women don't get equal opportunity to serve Krishna either. In Iskcon Vrindavan temple women are NOT ALLOWED to sing for Krishna or hold a Kirtan. Gopal Krishna Goswami si lying cunningly. sad, but true.

@Chhenu That is only in Iskcon. The original Gaudiya Math does not say these things. I think it was the white messiah monkey's that actually talk like that and not Srila Prabhupad.

@sadhubeast, Prabhupad himself said women have less brain then men. Rules made in Iskcon - women r not allowed to sing in front of main temple Krishna deity. When my wife a professional singer, Iskcon devotee of 25 years pleaded to sing bhajan for Lord Krishna Aindra and others came running saying a big NO NO NOT ALLOWED by RULES for "matajis". Only "Prabhus" can. Gaudiyas have also changed a lot. Many changes.

@Chhenu No not really. I go to Navadvip and vrandavan and I see so many lady devotees performing even arati and bhajan and kirtan. When i was with Srila BV Narayana Gosvami Maharaj, he used to ask many female dovotees to sing kirtan and give lectures like Syamarani aka Jadurani, Uma Mataji and etc. So liberal and so open and so sweet.

I am so sorry they stopped your wife from singing. Just take it as Krsna has better plans and maybe she will rock the town with kirtan some day.

@sadhubeast, She had met Narayan Maharaj too. Of course there are Kirtans in Navadvipa and Vrindavana. There are several temples where they allow. But not in the main Iskcon temple. Sad. I heard Narayan Maharaj changed some things. I'm up for simple bhakti without any politics and biases anywhere. God Bless. Its great that you live in Malaysia and are able to practice Krishna Consciousness.

@Chhenu Its great she met him. Actually he never changed anything. It is the same but without too much nonsensical restrictions. Some women devotees I remember stringing garlands and placing it on him and he patted their heads and blessed them. He was so loving. Some even cooked for him under the tutelage of his personal servant. Maybe you and your wife just go to the temples that allow seva. Some rules maybe there to ensure purity which also effects us guys but overall, we can do pretty much.

Who is this TV reporter? Who can they allow him to speak to maharaj like that?

The reason why Krsna Consciousness doesn't jive with the masses is because the movement shoves in everyone's face how the entity one thought one was is actually just dreamland dust floating about cold space while one's True form is some interdimensional absurdity that no temporal creature could ever begin to fathom. All who embrace Krsna Consciousness also embrace the inevitable event horizon of death, and that takes real courage rather than real lust.

Well not true!! Women in HK don't get even equal opportunity to serve Krsna! In Vrindavan Iskcon temple Women are not even allowed to sing bhajan in front of Lord KrsnA, EVEN if she's a professional singer and Iskcon devotee singing beautiful Bhajans!!!

good stuff, I hear these anti Krishna comments all the time and to be truthful, its quiet boring after a while, but we have to be patient, they have invested almost a whole lifetime in cultivating their illusory lifestyles, that it is hard for them to accept that they got it all wrong
