i think i just found my favorite quote of all time: "You can't change the world, but you can change the world for one person for one minute, or one hour just by being that one person who's there."
I left my first career at 45 and went back to nursing school at a local university, UNCG. I graduated with my BSN in 2009 and have 10 months remaining to finish my MSN. I love nursing and I really understand what she means about making a difference one person at a time. It is truly gratifying work.
I just graduated from Nursing School, and will soon start my job as an RN. I want you guys to know that these commercials, biographys and documentarys you're all doing on nurses are absolutely inspirational and remind me of the exact compassion, care, and art it really takes to be a nurse. I've watched all of them; and I simply cannot get enough. So to all the other nurses out there, Thank you for all you do; you inspired me to become a Nurse. and to J&J Thank you for honoring us!
I love this! I am a nursing student and will graduate next May with my BSN, and I will be 45yrs old! I also raised 4 kids. Love, love, love... my life. Trauma nurse is my goal!
The post below by green5439 saying he/she is ready to start college and pursue a career in emergency medicine says all you need to know about whether this campaign is successful. This is the stuff we all dream of - knowing our words and images impact others' lives. Bravo to Johnson & Johnson for this one!
I'm a senior in high school, and i'm graduating in less than three months, can't wait to pursue college, and start my Career in emergency medicine. :)
Awesome story. I am a volunteer EMT with my local fire department, and I have 8 months left in nursing school. I can't wait to be an R.N. but I too will continue my EMS volunteering. Way to go Laurie!
she sounds like a great person. I'd love to meet her some day. Being an EMT AND an ER nurse, not to mention a wife and mother. She seems to have a sense of humor too, something needed.
