I think your arguement is kind of crap to be honest. Yes I am also 16, however, the fact you think arctic monkeys are better because they sold more albums proves how much you know about music! There is increasing amounts of shops, online stores (amazon, ebay), advertisement (myspace etc) that is out now! Spice Girls won an award for most number ones, they are definitely better than Joy Division! There is very good music out their, but I wouldn't say Arctic Monkeys or this is the best.

Im 18 and id rather listen to Bob Dylan stuff right back from the 60's and 70's than most indie stuff today...anyway, this is a good band, not the best currently but its good music. the only music that is really bad today is the manufactured rnb rubbish

abba are the biggest selling band after the beatles,Fartic Monkeys have got one hell of a lot of record sales to come anywhere close to beatles or abba(over 350 million sales worldwide.)I think your the one with the crap commen.

sorry its another one of Jo "OH MY GOD THIS BAND IS AMAZING" whileys upcoming bands.Sorry Jo but they sound like all the other bands that sound like this.This decade is the worst by miles.

Hey im 41 and your 16,and i have lived throught the 70s,80s(what an awesome decade)and the 90s,and i just think that music has got bland and boring with all indie/rock or r'n'b.I used to buy loads of albums,i hardly buy any now.

you've got a point. music now is in some degrees a lot more bland, just with a lot of it being so manufactured. but theres bland and boring bands around every decade, just no one remembers them as much. the biggest problem wiht music now is no gets excited about it and somehow your a fan if you only like one song by a band. theres not enough pressure on bands to be original

you are 41, and surely a 16 year old would know music that is better nowadays that you do. just because you are older, it certainly does not mean that you have a better taste in music, and while older music is still amaze (eg. the beatles), other bands are better, like the arctic monkeys or this band. did you know the beatle sold the most albums in history until arctic monkeys, who now holds the record. so i think your argument is kind of crap. :)

I think your arguement is kind of crap to be honest. Yes I am also 16, however, the fact you think arctic monkeys are better because they sold more albums proves how much you know about music! There is increasing amounts of shops, online stores (amazon, ebay), advertisement (myspace etc) that is out now! Spice Girls won an award for most number ones, they are definitely better than Joy Division! There is very good music out their, but I wouldn't say Arctic Monkeys or this is the best.
