That drawer on the second floor of Wintrop's Inn contains a Star Sapphire that can be sold to Wintrop for 1000 GP (I had 18 Cha and 11 Rep so prices may vary) I dumped all 40 skill points into pick lock which gave me 65% total and successfully picked the lock on the first try. (60% may work, not sure). Hope this helps any of you future Harrys gear up. (I don't think this lock can be forced however, if anyone knows let me know. Thanks in advance.)

It doesn't matter that you do it in this order I've seen alot of LP'ers do it this way. Sad that you're not using Baldur's gate NPC banter pack mod though but I'm sure I'll get over it. :D

As for the game, it's impressive how much effort they put into this marvelous adventure, plus, this game was the beginning of a new era for the D&D-Based Games with its revolutionary engine. The music is great, the gameplay is great, the story is great... Heck, there are even some 'cameos' of some D&D Characters from the Novels! :P I feel very fortunate to have a original copy of all of Bioware's legen-wait for it-dary games (BG,BG2,Icewind Dale,Icewind Dale 2 and their Expansions)

I know one way to keep the equipment those guys have in the training room. If you put all of their stuff in your inventory you can export your character and then start a new game with your exported character who will have all the items.

13:06 If I remember correctly there's a bug, and this is the only instance I remember of it, where his corpse can actually catch you stealing.

Yeah, don't ask me how, but if you kill him so the fireplace blocks his view then you should be able to steal normally.

all you have to do to keep the items from the toutorial fight area is just to put it all on to harry the export then import him with the items into a new game :P helps so much but it is kinda cheating

Necro, if you like the Baulders Gate games, you should definitely check out Eschalon Book I and II. It's differs greatly from BG, but they're still really good old-school rpg type games. Worth checking out at least.
