  • What size lift do you have?

  • @bamafan2117 4" short arm with 33s in the video, now has 35s

  • i did the same thing with my cj7 for 12 years !! off in april,on in november...getting too old for that kind of workout now !!..sold the cj7 and bought a brand new 2005 wrangler with a soft top !!..hard tops are much quieter than soft tops, but hard tops are the best in snowy winter weather.BTW, your jeep looks great !!..nice wheels&tires.

  • @mschiffel1 Well were I live it only snows once every 20 years. And thanks I have done alot to it since the video.

  • I did not notice the jeep had doors -___-

  • @TheChamps2525 ya they arent black any more.

  • Lol nice save. Looks like you could've used some shin guards there!

  • I'm going to put mine back on today. Think I will get a second hand though I hurt my back when I did it myself like that before.

  • cool !!!

  • almost dropped it! lol i tried putting the top back on my 87 k5 on 42s alone one day..not a fun day at all..

  • and thats how a bro does it

  • Hi, Great video thanks! I am planning on buying a jeep with a soft or hardtop, i prefer the hard top but was wondering if I could do the installation on my own. I was thinking of doing what you did get under it and balance it in place. You proved that I can do it on my own.

  • check out that karate kick at 0:21 hahaha kmsl

  • BEEN THERE.. !.. lol,

  • I done this a month ago and now im gonna have to see a neck doctor. The buddy system or a hardtop lift is the way to go.

  • LOL. Nice save with your foot!

  • Dang, my LJ hard top has an extra 10" of weight to it, I had to build a hoist for mine!

  • Ok hard tops are nice and all but I like the fact tht with a soft top u can pull over on the side of the road and take the top off and off it starts raing u can put it back on

  • @lucas07770 ya I ended up selling my hard top and buying a soft top and a rear bumper with a a tire carrier. Easy to put the windows on and off and if you go on trails its easier to prevent damage.

  • @lucas07770 Too cold in the winter up north for a soft top.

  • @lucas07770 ya h but it still takes ten minutes or more

  • i have that same top lol and i have to try what you just did

  • Oh Dear, i really wish these models were avail. in egypt, we only get to buy the 2011 wrangler only which can cost 50,000 dollars (nearly 30,000$ more than it's standard price in the U.S)

  • @hammoudy1300 thats alot lol. Why cant yall buy older models. I know they can in Saudi.

  • @calven727 i searching for the 2004-2009 models but cannot find them :'(

  • i really wish these models were avail. in egypt, we only get to buy the 2011 wrangler only which can cost 50,000 dollars (nearly 30,000$ more than it's standard price in the U.S) oh dear

  • I will try that next time I am putting mine back on, but first how did u take it off by yourself? Same way? Im always waiting for a buddy to come over and help me...dont have a garage for a pulley system

  • @travishurley820 ya pretty much the same way just turned facing the rear window. once you figure out where to place your hands to balance it its really not that hard. just dont drop it lol

  • @travishurley820 i just took mine off by my self yesterday. just inch it to the edge of the jeep then get under it and lift same is kid did. it is pretty heavy but if u have a good build to u its not to bad its only like 100 or so pounds

  • I did the same thing this past weekend. I waited for ever to take my hard top off thinking I would drop it due to the weight. It wasn't nearly as heavy as I thought it would be. Piece of cake. I was a bit slower and more cautious I wall admit. Might be a pain for a shorter guy, but I'm 6'3 220LBS. I set the top on a couple stacks of chairs so I wouldn't strain my back lifting it back on. Do you have those little plastic setting pins on yours?

  • @lovedavdubs no I had metal bolts, the chair thing probably would have made it a lot easier. Im only 5'10 and off the ground is hard for me.

  • By myself i meant

  • By museos

  • Teach me how to remove it!!!!

  • thats a manly man right there

  • hahah you look like me trying to do that but i cant get mine on by my self haha

  • 0:18 Hahahahahahahahaha

    thank you

  • Yeah i used to do that.....until i tripped on a stick fell and broke out a window. Needless to say i got a roof lift.

  • haha!! did the same thing this fall!!

  • man im 23 y old and its soooo fkn dificult to get the hard top installed cause its to heavyyy..... im looking for the roof jack

  • @WeaskNsta ya even with someone to help you put it on it sucks. roof lift is the best bet

  • you scared me man...

  • tried doing that with my blazer top. wish i would recorded it lol. NICE JOB HOMIE. =0)

  • @dbzgt545 Im pretty sure the k5 tops are a lot heavier. That would be fun to watch lol
