  • wonderful

  • Can't stop watching this ... it's just amazing

  • @erm0n um are you kidding me

  • No reason to say which is better. I just appreciate that great bands cover great songs.

  • ....heavy disgrace... - band and vid :-/

  • @erm0n Oi Neil Young is a legend!

  • this is kinda cool actually, forgot about Radiohead's groovy awesomeness i think....

  • great song, duff version.

  • Is this an EIIRP intro?

  • yes

  • i think that in this song he was playing the piano while watching a photo of his son noah what a wonderfull dad.

  • love when people say they like a band but they dont know how to properly spell the name of the band =/ lol

  • hahaha, right? what a douche bag.

  • You have autism

  • you know nothing

  • Perhaps it hurts because you are sitting on it.

  • Why did you think that was worth posting?

  • haha, shutup

  • INDEED! Neil Young was a musical marker... Lyrics like this don't come to anyone.

  • haha this guy really does sound "high" as he sings it xD great cover though!

  • hey waalpaper. this song is about how the earth is all we have and we can't just fly away to another planet. this song is a dream about ships flying around the children and flying them to a new home. duh.

  • Kinda wimpy compared to Neil baby, but like they say, let's see YOU do it:).. I got a hernia tryin' to reach those hi-notes;]

  • combine one of the greatest songwriters ever and one of the greatest bands ever and you get this.

  • you get music?

  • neil's was still better

  • yeah neil's is way better.

  • Its vary rare that you hear a cover thats as good as or better than the origional...this is not one of those moments. although it is a good attempt

  • I could go on and on about how stupid anyone is for saying this is better then the Neil Young original (which it probably is since he wasn't comfortable with his voice and on the album sang it in that near annoying falsetto. Check out the Live rust version for the definitive version.)...but the fact that Radiohead is at leas introducing Neil Young to people who never listened to his music is all that matters in the end.

  • Preach On!!! j/k

actually now i wanna get into neil youngs music. thom seems to have that effect on me. whenever he plugs a band, i'll listen to them & then i'll end up loving them.

  • yeah mate Neil Young is musical genius, try heart of gold, old man, helpless and of course after the gold rush, i love radiohead but Neil Young is class.

  • YUS!!!! a fucking sensible person on youtube!

    :)

    wel said mate

  • This one is butchered. The brigde school version is far better.

  • Oh my god.. Neil's version (original) is so much better

  • He sang it better than Neil Young...ha! what do you think?

  • Thom made this version platinum! It's just to bad all the blue hair's disagree......

  • I agree with blasketboy, I just could not have put it as elequently as he did.

  • "There were children flyin'"

  • "There were children flyin'"

    Explain that line to me

  • You know how sometimes dreams don't make any real sense? Hence the line in this song.. "All in a dream.." It's surrealism.

  • I get a kindov uncomfortable feeling when he says it.

    I dunno why.

Reminds me of Ambulances by Larkin

    "children strewn"

    Weird

  • Some songs do that to me as well, the uncomfortable feeling. That's the mark of real artistry though. Songs that give you a feeling, good, bad, whatever.

I don't get this song either, but it always brings a lump to my throat.

  • yup

  • its supposed to be "children crying" but I still cant figure it out

  • Are You Fucking Serious? This is Shane Mc Gowans twin brother trying to puke up a kebab!I Hope 'THE MAN' never sees it.

  • You gotta love it when your favorite band covers your most loved individual artist... Thanks for posting!

  • I was at that show.. I got the chills when they started playing this song..

i believe that after 1:13 they start playing "everything in its right place"

  • I'd say it was an interesting attempt. Neil Young is amazing, and Radiohead is equally amazing. Hearing Thom sing this was great.

  • as much as I like Radiohead, they've got nothing on Neil.

  • if u listen the full cover of thom yorke u dont say that, i think thom yorke covered neil young better than others but this version its incomplete i heart the other one and it likes too much

  • What happened to the old video that used to be on here of the full version of After The Gold Rush/Everything In It's Right Place from this gig?

  • yeah where is that?!

it was my absolute favorite live video of everything in its right place

    someone please upload it!

  • excellent...too short video but a really great cover, i love radiohead and i love Neil Young even more

  • I have been looking all over for this version of After the Gold Rush! I am so pleased that you have posted this. I just can't believe it's taken me so long to find it!

  • yes i love radiohead and i love neil young and this song

  • these lyrics...... i presume they just made them up?

  • No. Those are lyrics from the Neil Young song "After the Gold Rush".

  • It's just the last verse.

  • uh huh its impossible to cover neil young but gary jules did it nearly as good

  • i'd give you a thumb up but i can't anymore. youtube is censoirng opinions witht his rating system so the only things we can see are, everything is great.

  • I cant give myself a thumbs up either. Oh well, we all know what radiohead fans are like, i mostly just said it to bait them (although i did mean what i said)

  • i agree that

  • Radiohead should record this cover or something. It it just incredible i every single way.

  • where can i see all of this?

  • This song is on Myspace video.

  • ronaldvdberg

    (dot)

  • just search the song and doenload the

  • Nice cover anyhow..

  • Does anybody know what device he uses to get that effect on his voice? I'd love to have one of those!
