  • What kind of track do you have for selection? Velodrome? Also, if I wanted a custom route can it be connected to Google Earth (as it have elevation profile) and view it as 3rd person while animated it on the tilted satellite images?

Can be bike frame mount allow a bit of tiling while cycling (similar to Kinetic Rock n Roll)?

  • The software works fine. No crashing on my setup. Just pay attention to the specs. Google Earth plug in works great and makes it easy to ride your usual routes indoors. The Fortius trainer is quite easy to use.

  • Dear Bryan, I am impressed with the video. It was a great help. I do have a question on what was playing on your computer screen. The version I seem to have is a animation-type of what is supposed to be "biking in the open", whereas you seem to have a reality neighborhood. Did I download the wrong software?

  • Where can i find my VR interface serial number.....(: Is it the same as my license number?

    Thank you....(:

  • hey -okay, so maybe a stupid question but I don't have a lot of time right now, watching... will it work on MACBookPro? x thanks !!

  • thanks a lot will sort it out asap

  • does anyone know where to buy the bar plugs that connect the steering frame to the turbo trainer as i bought a steering frame on ebay without the plugs

  • @bigseany180 I believe the item that you are looking for is the Tacx Trainer Steering frame parts kit. You can ask your Local Bike shop to help you get this item for you. If you provide them the QBP part number WT2086 they could order it up for you. Disclosure. I am the CS manager for QBP. Sure hope this helps. Brian Vanderah, QBP.

  • Great video, I wish I had seen it before I put together my Tacx Fortius : the instructions that come with it are a disaster.

  • What are the specs for the kiosk station that the monitor/tv and keyboard are mounted? I like the stand.

Does the equipment work with the Netathlon software? Any comparison with software that comes with it?

  • @jpoliti The stand in the video is only available for use at our Tacx Test Centers and is not available to consumers. FYI the dimensions of the Taxc stand is 69"tall, 21.5" wide and 6" deep. The platform that it sits on is 29.5" wide and 15.75" deep.

The Net-atholon is a separate operating system software and will not function with any Tacx Trainer. Only Taxc software will work on a Tacx Trainer.

Hope this helps. Brian Vanderah, QBP Customer Service

  • @QualityBikeProducts Thanks Brian. Appreciate the follow up. I was under the impression that NetAthlon is compatible - the websites for Fitcentric and RideRunRow both list the Tacx equipment as being compatible. Trying to decide whether to invest in one of the i-Magic trainers and want to get the most for my money. Jon.

  • Demo looks great, right? A shame that Tacx software does not work as advertised. Their software crashes, or crashes your computer. Sometimes right at the start, sometimes 40 minutes into a two hour ride. Their software has not worked for several years, but they continue to force customers to "upgrade" into new software that will supposedly work, but doesn't. I have all versions of Tacx Trainer software, versions 1, 2, and 3. They don't work, and lead to nothing but frustration

  • @stylecouncilor1 First of all, I am not an expert on the Tacx Trainers so I can't really respond or have an answer to your frustrations. What I would like to do is get you to one of the QBP Tacx Tech Supports to see if we can potentially help you with some of the problems. If you could send an email to tacx@qbp.com with a brief description of your problem, and the computer your using, they may be able to help troubleshoot your problems. Sincerely, Brian Vanderah, QBP

  • @stylecouncilor1

i have the fortius, and have had it for about 8 years. its still going fine. i am currently using the fortius software at the moment. no one forced me to buy the upgraded software. all the current RLV's work with fortius without problems.

Its ALWAYS the people who kick and scream the loudest, and YET.. they buy every single software and upgrade. WHY? if its so bad, then PLEASE sell it and move on elsewhere!

  • yeah-you skipped over putting the middle part of the steering frame together! i know why-its a pain in the butt!!!!!!!!!!
