Mad people have told me that this is the greatest grammy performance of all-time. I haven't seen many but I can think of at least a few that I enjoyed more. Christina Aguilera's rendition of "It's a Man's Wolrd" is probably my #1...I think it was much better than this. Eminem and Elton John performing "Stan" is another. Even Marvin Gaye singing "Sexual Healing" was better to me (Just one that I thought of at random, but anything Marvin is teh best). Juts my opinion.

Michael could perfectly afford lyp syncing because he already had demonstrated the whole world he was one hell of a great singer (Bad and Dangerous Tour anyone?). So yeah, the Grammy performance was partly lip synced but he did sang live part of "Man In The Mirror". Did it sound any different? Hell no, because he COULD sing. And he did amazingly :D If you still chose to ignore that and bash him, you're just ignorant.
The vocals in this performance are incredible - MJ was demonstrating his 3 and a half octave range. Also, I wonder how many people know that the choir that sang on stage with him was the same choir that sang at his memorial service (maybe some different choiristers, but still the same choir), and do you see Prince at the end, around 6:10. I hoped he liked MJ's sure. I loved it!

Mad people have told me that this is the greatest grammy performance of all-time. I haven't seen many but I can think of at least a few that I enjoyed more. Christina Aguilera's rendition of "It's a Man's Wolrd" is probably my #1...I think it was much better than this. Eminem and Elton John performing "Stan" is another. Even Marvin Gaye singing "Sexual Healing" was better to me (Just one that I thought of at random, but anything Marvin is teh best). Juts my opinion.

Those MJ cared for abused his trust/deceived him, his father abused him verbally and physically; and, worst of all the media/press raped and stripped him of his dignity publicly and hounded him mercilessly.
And through it all he SMILED!
I wonder how many of us would withstand the same introspection into our lives and handle the pain. Before we cast stones at MJ, we should imagine ourselves in his life and ask ourselves how would we manage it?

Sometimes I think if he wasn't so self-critical he wouldn't have gotten so many plastic surgeries and in so doing, wouldn't have gotten addicted to the post-op drugs. This is what sucks about paparazzi and celebrity critics. They talk about people as though they don't exist. As though they are movie, music characters and not actors, singers playing the part. We're supposed to be able to reach out and help these people. It used to be standard when talent told off management who made them stars.

Michael could perfectly afford lyp syncing because he already had demonstrated the whole world he was one hell of a great singer (Bad and Dangerous Tour anyone?). So yeah, the Grammy performance was partly lip synced but he did sang live part of "Man In The Mirror". Did it sound any different? Hell no, because he COULD sing. And he did amazingly :D If you still chose to ignore that and bash him, you're just ignorant.

The vocals in this performance are incredible - MJ was demonstrating his 3 and a half octave range. Also, I wonder how many people know that the choir that sang on stage with him was the same choir that sang at his memorial service (maybe some different choiristers, but still the same choir), and do you see Prince at the end, around 6:10. I hoped he liked MJ's sure. I loved it!
