  • I want this video on my 7250i phone.

  • This video is a favorite on Ulaanbaatar

  • Please tell me

what motors you used. degree, voltage etc.

what gears used. worm or other and gearing ratio.

Dont ask code again its your secret:) I cant afford your bot even if you sell it :) But I will keep my struggle and effort and I will be successful.

  • What is the prototyping material called that this thing is build out of ?

  • It is based on a Atmel AVR, a LCD display and some buttons ;-) Not to mention 4000 lines of code.

  • Ah, cool. And with such an interface, 4000 lines seems reasonable. But I was actually revering to the structural rapid prototyping material, the beams, joins and pivots and such.

  • The head is build from Alu profile from Maytec or Item. Some parts are custom milled as well as the gears. I have tried different gear ratios from 1:20 to 1:100. Only depends if you want more speed or need more power. The motors should be as powerful as possible ;-)

  • @pepoloe Thanks, I'll look into that material. It looks like great rapid construction material. I have prototyped one out of lego's and, apart from being able to properly set the nodal point, it works quite nicely ( with a DSLR even ). I found the standard lego motors to be accurate and powerful enough and fast enough with a 1:56 ration. Transmission is done through wormscrews.

Now that I know what I want and how to code it, I just needed proper building material, thanks again !.

  • can you please tell me what kind of motors and worm gears did you used (what powers have the motors in Nm and what ratio do the gears have)

    thank you very much

    Stefan

  • How is this coming along mate> For sale yet.or even the mount? Is there any way you could do tiny increments for timelapse do you think. Then the biggy could you do ramped timelapse. Now that would be the perfecto system. good luck

  • Ich muss schon sagen, dein Gerät ist echt der Hammer.. Absolut professionell gebaut, und funktioniert offenbar bestens. Ich wäre schon froh, wenn ich mir eine schlechte klapprige Version bauen könnte ;)

  • Will it be affordable (under $800) ??

  • Definitely not.

  • Would you sell any beta version?

  • When will it be for sale?

  • why did you develope this? was it for taking pano's?

  • Hi, the GigaPanBot is not for sale yet ;-)

  • where can I buy one? are they even for sale?

  • WOW, this is amazing, the best motorized pan head I have seen!!!
