Infiltrator Class is the way to go. You are able to get the Widdow, which is the most kick ass gun (thats not heavy) in the game

@Crashovics If he died while holding the Collectors back its got to do with the last line of defence.

All characters have something similar to a base defense stat kinda thing, Garrus, Zaeed and Grunt having the highest and Mordin the lowest. It's best to leave behind these high defense, heavy hitters to hold them back, otherwise people start to die. It starts with non loyal people, then Mordin and goes up like that depending on how high the defense of the people left behind is.

@Crashovics Most likely. The best way of going about it is to send him back with Dr Chakwas, coz anyone sent back will pretty much survive as long as they're loyal. You can still keep him "holding the line" but with that way you have to ensure you at least have someone like Garrus and one other high defence guy there to protect his sorry ass.

It's easy once you get the hang of it. I have only played one playthrough and I know this much. XD

@Crashovics Yah, your gonna probably lose someone because Samara or Jack aren't loyal.  Miranda and Jacob don't have the biotic strength to go through the entire section unharmed. If your really going for the achievement, it's probably best to go back to an old save and do the loyalty missions.

@analogmarz nah di recommend he just imports the his ME2 character It'll keep his lvl (which should be around lvl 20) and allow to also unlock the Power Gamer Achievment (Get lvl 30 with any char)

my assortment of teams and squad members: legion goes into the pipe, garrus leads second team, i bring grunt and thane, I send mordin to escort the survivors, i then bring tali and garrus with me on the final part of the mission, success no casualties.

at 8.57 when snipe-in the scion (i think thats what its called) i found that shooting them in the face does alot more damage to take them out quickly and easily. anyone else noticed that?

Ive played the game three times and three people have died on 2 of them. Im going to play it one more time using the strategy you did (Give or take a few people.) At least you wont have any problems with ashley in ME3 but how did you handle the jack/miranda situation.

@DukeCityNews I had maximum paragon and cooled the tension between jack and miranda with a paragon answer. So unfortunately if you didn't import a character from me1, you have to choose who will be loyal to you(due to not having enough paragon or renegade points at this point of the game). I might recommend putting your non loyal member in your party so they don't randomly die off during the suicide mission.

if you get paragon/renegade points later you can go to the disloyal party member and convince them you actually agree with them.

yeh mate lol doing that kills shepard instead im not sure what happens if one isnt loyal but i know if theyre both un lyoal they die at the end which means that joker is the only one to lift u up and as we know he cant so u fall

@analogmarz and i thought that when a party member is not loyal, he'll die in the end. and if your party doesn't survive (when at least one of them dies) then you won't survive and shepard will die in the end. or do both of them have to die for shepard not surviving the suicide mission?

@tomik524 Loyal members still have a chance to die if you make wrong decisions, like making someone not tali or legion going into the pipe, or something like zaeed leading a squad. It's the same for non Loyal members, they can totally survive but have a higher chance of dying during a cutscene and almost guaranteed a death if you make a wrong choice.

@tomik524 mordin is just very weak so he dies alot easier, but he doesn't die 100% if you don't send him to escort survivors. One of my playthrough's he survived all the way to the last boss, but i also had him in my squad and kept him alive.

@tomik524 lol not hard just dont do any loyalty missions and donjt upgrade the ship at all (Legion Thane adn Tali will be killed during the Normandy's cutscene before the main part of the mission.. then choose jacob adn grunt to enter vent and lead the 2nd team grunt gets killed and jacob gets shot in the face... other than that 2 unloyal teamates will die after human reaper dies and garrus will die when escorting the remaining team wont be able to hld the line and will get killed defending

@TLB95Switchblade yeah, it's easy, what i meant is that one must want to mess it up like this because a usual player will probably do his best - and if he does and still everyone dies, than that's a player who really sucks xD i wonder if that would be even possible, to do your best and still lose everyone... now, when i think about it again, i know few experts :D

@tomik524 lol on my paragon playthrough i tried my best but couldnt be arsed wiv miranda, jaob and thanes boring as hell loyalty missions i also didnt recruit samara as i knew jack couldnt handle the field then i forgot to upgrade the shields and she got kiled D: so miranda was my only option and she got legion killed stupid bitch...

You stay faithful to past relationships if your imported Shepard is already with someone else, and if you don't romance anyone else during the game (you know you're faithful if Shepard looks at that romance person's photo right before the Suicide Mission.

Also, you don't need to do the renegade path to get Zaeed's loyalty, although you'll need more than 3 paragon bars to convince him in becoming loyal if you chose the paragon path during his mission.

Well, I'm not sure if Liara will strike you with a biotic so hard that your body would fit in a coffee cup, but the developers/producers said that it WILL have consequences in relationships if you betray then like you did.

I wish you luck dealing with this, especially since I'll have to do the same (first romanced Kaidan, but now Shepard's with Thane).

Yeah, I'm intent on letting Shepard date Miranda even though he had a romance with Ashley in the first one. Personally, Miranda has a lot more depth to her character than Ashley does and she seems to relate better anyways. It'll probably suck if this comes back to bite me in ME3 but I'm gonna stick with it. I just hope there are no major shockers during the suicide mission for this.
