@orangeorphan HKS still holds the record. The ARTA NSX is a full tube frame race car, known as a silhouette car. The HKS was based on a production car frame.

@willister54 it actually lost the record to the ARTA NSX from the GT500 series driven by Tsuchiya. I don't know if that record still stands.
