This reminds me of, and is getting the same kind of response as, the period when Dave Brubeck started experimenting with unusual time signatures, you guys are experimenting with style incorporation, I like it!
i could easily sit there and watch that all freakin night..they are muso's and i like it...now that drum solo is what im TALKING about,,stylish, control, musical.he reminds me of the uk drummer gavin harrison?? ..awesome!.
very delicate drumsolo..guitar player is fantastic..but I didn't like the begining of the song, the grove changes all the time ,I know the reason schizo ..but its my point of view I respect.
That's right. This song is for listeners that are looking for something different rather than the normal everyday stuff that's easy to 'digest'. This song is basically a way of experimenting different groove styles over one bass line which is very catchy all the same. The guitar drumming solos are both excellent, and the drumming by fran is obviously worth listening to and learning from.
this is terrible! theres no nice felt groove to it.... only a bunch of different grooves put together. if you look at the audience none of them are responding to what you guys do on stage. meaby they`re sleeping?
The greatest response you can get from an audience is one of silence. It means they are listening and sometimes learning. The tune is called "Schizo goes the weasel". It is not supposed to have a felt groove. That is the whole point. In and out of feels hence the term "Schizo". My suggestion to you is to break away from the "safety" of everyday music and broaden your horizon with something that involves more thought than a typical song form or time singature.
dudy.. you idiot, you wouldn't know modulation if toto brought jeff back and wrote a whole album around it...I wonder if Funky2714's wallet says bad ass motherfucka on it..
hey man lovin especially what happens at 3:10 .. wht books do you recommend for developing jazz comping at that sort of speed ? By the I've got Tommys book, lucky enough to see his clinic and meet him .. amazing and funny guy ... and absolutely loving his book .. Cheers -Aidan
this track together with a band shows your quality on drums very clearly

I like it very much!
Is there more stuff like that from you to watch?

Great beat variety in this tune, and lots of modulation illusion.

Awesome stuff, very technical, yet still musical. Tight drumming also, really fit well with the music. The drums sounded sweet too!
