"Equality" was not added because of the peoples attitude towards women and negroes. Should we step back to what was then?
"under God" was added in 1954, Remember, black Americans had their own restrrooms, water fountains ...

Everything was great til the under god BS was introduced. What is it that people can't understand that god and the collapse of standards are not synonymous with each other, as much as economic conditions and standards are in fact such.
