I love to hear James Brown sing. Alot of people dont know that Mr. Brown sang ballets check the out sometime Im sure you will really enjoy them if you like this one. Ill go crazy, prisoner of love and I stay in the chapel every night is just a few of them. Enjoy
He was the first greatest entertainer of all times. You missed it, if you did not get a chance to see him in his prime. MJ, Prince and others carried on his legacy.
Lost Someone, Try Me and Bewildered... now this was when James was singing and not just hollering...I feel for those of you never got a chance to hear the man SING!!
@jessikasjohnson Yes! The man could really, really sing. You've got the power, i'll go crazy, why does everything have to happen to me, prosoner of love, kansas city...
@jessikasjohnson I was in a collector's vinyl store, and they were playing the "Good, Good Twistin'" LP (King 780 from 1962), and people who walked in didn't even recognize that it was James Brown singing. He has crazy range that he, unfortunately, screamed away.
@samuelbellpierre The Amazing James Brown LP, King 743, Released in 1961. I am blessed to have a NM original of this LP still in the loose baggy shrink. The whole LP is a great listen.
Lord have mercy......thats all I can say. There arent' enough words in the human vocabulary to describe this song....Gee Whiz He loved her!!!!! Thank you SO much for posting this one
@gmandofgod - Listen to the 'Bewildered' live version on the color post of his Apollo 68 concert. To me that is the greatest James Brown live ballad performance I have ever heard. 'Try Me' and 'Man's World' are good, but to me nowhere as good as 'Bewildered' and 'Lost Someone'.
Love these old ballads. Thanks a mil.

One of the best songs EVER.
If you ever get a chance to hear his James Brown at the Apollo Theatre LP, jump on it. The early 60s definitive JB sound.

One of the greatest ballads by Mr. Brown, only topped, imo, by his 'Bewildered'.
PaulDA2000 2 years ago
@PaulDA2000 I think Bewildered id great, but falls behind Lost Someone and Try Me. I also love I Don't MInd.
And wait a minute-- where does Man's Man's World rank?
