I actually think the screaming is pretty good here. I don't love haste the Day, because I think they have too much of an emo sound (By the way, what's up with Metalcore and Emo? Haste the Day, Underoath, Atreyu, Bullet for my Valentine, All that Remains, etc.) but I think they're very talented. Frankly, they sing much better than most of the emo singers out there, so they're fine in my book!

That wierd sound you hear in the chorus ... it's called "harmony". Three part harmony, actually. Boy bands may use it as well, but they can only dream of attaching it to METAL.
