Of course it wasn't perfect,the pacing was screwed up after the Snowpoint Gym (the best pacing was in Hoenn), Dawn's rivals weren't as interesting as May's (Ursula appeared too late and too little), the character interactions were probably at their lowest point (though never really bad), but overall DP showed the most continuity in the whole show.

Overall I think that BW is somewhat worse, but there are interesting things happening in it, like TR's change, good character interactions again...

I actually agree that the series' peak was DP. It had THE best rivalry in the show (at the very least on the level of writing and number of Paul's appearances), THE best battles (though some of BW's battles are on par with some of AG and DP ones), lost of meaningful and interesting storylines, THE best evil team plot, we saw Ash and Dawn working hard on their goals, it was the first time where the writers planned out most of the series' events years before they actually aired.

I still think that Sinnoh was the best part of the Pokemon anime. It had the best battles from all the series and the animation didn't was that bad...i will miss DP and Dawn and Brock the most...he was present in all the seasons and now it will be strange without him:( But i will wait and see if BW is at least as good as DP.

I actually think the Diamond and Pearl series was much, much better than the other series that came before. Kanto was nice but the battles were poorly done, Johto was fillersauce(Hi COTD. Oh no it's team rocket again! Blasting off again! Problem solved, 'kay, bye!), Hoenn was nothing special and Ash seriously lacked a true rival in this season. DP was much more well done story-wise, had some of the best battles in the series and had less fillers. BW is shaping up to be a pretty good series too.

@Rinkusu7 I agree with you, however, the Pokemon aren't as good as before. Some are ridiculous and others are pretty good to be honest. I like the newer series also, but what about his dream to become a Pokemon Master and actually looking older?

Ash is a good trainer if you think about it!! He is nice to his friends and pokemon!!!! thats the most important thing!!!! WHO CARES IF HE DOESENT CATCHEM ALL IM 11 YEARS OLD AND IVE PLAYED POKEMON SINCE 5 YEARS OLD I STILL HAVENT CAUGHTEM ALL YET!!! BUT ACTUALLY I ALMOST HAVE!!

@11poketrainer Dude. Cool your jets. Satoshi isn't a very good trainer, and the anime sucks. Nothing to get worked up over. Hikari was one of the better female leads and Takeshi is a staple in the show, and it'll be odd without him in it, but it doesn't matter since the BW anime shouldn't exist anyway. It should only be the games.

@NeoBattousaiGX I thought I'd be odd without Brock/Takeshi too but Dent(his "replacement") is actually a pretty cool character. And Best Wishes is surprisingly good.

And it's not all about winning, Satoshi is just a really nice guy, that's mostly why I like him. Also... because of Rica Matsumoto. xD

@TheEvilRohanite I don't doubt that Dento is a good character and Iris seems likable too, but I'm just saying, Pokemon has become even more of an episode whore than One Piece or Naruto. We don't need another 4 years of new episodes most of which are poorly animated filler, and then have poorly animated canon stuff on top of it. The animation style is one of the things that brings it down too, it's gotten lazier since seasons 8 and 9. I like Satoshi, I just think the anime is crappy after Hoenn.

@NeoBattousaiGX Yeah, the amount of filler is definitely the biggest problem, especially with only one episode a week. It should be more like the manga.

I stopped following Pokemon at some point of the Hoenn saga, but now I've watched some stuff online just out of curiosity. But I'm trying to watch all of BW. The animation was pretty nice but yeah, it seems to have gone down a bit. At least it seems to have a bit more plot with TR being badass and all. Hopefully.

@TheEvilRohanite Yeah I stopped most of the way through season 6 and then picked it up toward the end of 8, then dropped it again after a few episodes of 9. I honestly think that if they used the animation from movies 7 and 8, and shortened it significantly, it would be a damn good anime. Although I'm still in favor of rebooting it with a short OVA series for one game per generation with new characters each time. A Yellow OVA, then Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, etc.

@dracoflare1 I know. I never suggested doing anything aside from showing the company "Old was better" by only buying the old episodes and ignoring the current ones.
