Difficult, the role of a healer isnt to just click a spell the whole time... You have to be observant (VERY) because, these mobs can do over 70% of your tanks hp in one crit >< its very nerve wracking if. Clerics also can dps, and not be just one of those healers...

Aion is actually a very fun game. Graphics alone are beautiful(better than wows), grinding is a tad higher and longer than most mmos with the exception of everquest and final fantasy. @x75eagle oh iknow man. the grind with 1.9 fixed alot of the issues people had in this game. i am fine with anything they throw at me in here lol. i really do love the game at lvl 48 and just taking my time leveling to 50.
They are the backbone to the team. The commander of the battlefield. Without them you will be sad. With them you will have power. ( They are WoW Shamans / GW Paragons )

To anyone hopeing this game has content close ot that of wow's, please, go fucking die, if you want something to be like wow, which mind you is probably one of he most terribly put together games out right now, just fucking play wow, aion might have raids like wow, and pvp like wow, but given the creativity of the people who work on aion, this game will be better, and probably very different.
2 healing classes, 1 *main tank* class, 1 dps class that can potentially offtank, 4 *pure* dps classes. Raid balance will skew more towards the tanks/healers, but not by a whole lot.
If the pve experience and raiding turns out to be even close to that of world of warcraft, I am sold! This game just looks so incredibly well made. If it has great pve raids, it may just be perfect :)
You should have bought the game which came with Closed and Open beta keys which you could have used to get in and play for free over a small duration of time,Sadly,that is over
hehe try being an Australian. not only does no1 listen to us but we have no servers (so ping/latency is always a pain) and to top it of we usually have server down time during our peak play hours:(
And i can honestly say, i played the beta of this and was blown away.
Now im not saying its better than wow although i think it is, but i really would advise the more grown up players of wow to move to this game right away.
There are raids and Dungeons (yes like instances in WoW) and raid bosses aswell with good loot, and group required places to complete alot of quests. All the WoW people, stop thinking that this is another 'Korean' grind fest that is fully Pvp orientated, CUZ ITS NOT, it also has a massive pve side to it. It is a beta for god's sake ofcourse they cant show the whole content straight away, just wait until it comes out and you'll change your mind, and definitely know it is better than WoW.
the "Pve" is it world wide or is it instances? so meaning like(if its world wide) can the "dark" side jump into the fight and just whipe the "lighter" side?=P
I play wow as a paladin Healer and I agree Aion looks really good the movements are great the look of the spells are awsome.
But what about the gameplay?even if you hate wow you have to admit there's a lot to do all the time with your character and people like me that heal in Ulduar Hard modes have to agree that you dont get bored and repetitive.
I'm just wondering if it will be the same in Aion.
and I hope the gameplay won't be the same as guild wars because that would be a waste.
I played WoW for 4 years (off and on) and I have to say I was so impressed by the last closed beta, I am definitely going to switch over to Aion for at least a while. It has refreshing gameplay.
Well, NCSoft (creators of Aion) are known from relasing "unfinished" products. Lineage is just example.
Aion lack endgame PvE and PvP content. There's no bosses using any king of spells or having some strategy - 1 tank, 1 healer, DPS, kill. No strategoc battlegrounds, no mounts.
If you liked WoW lore, witch is really great, yo wull really miss it playing Aion, because it simply had no lore. Just fight betewwn 2 races... Ye...

I don't think WoW can be taken down by any other game. If anything WoW will ruin itself, but for now, WoW has far too much momentum to be worried about that.

the animations run at an incredibly high framerate that owns WoW's shitty fps on the new version, and a lot of people like over-the-top awesome animations rather than the tiny range of movement that a WoW character can do, practically the only difference between melee attacks in WoW is the colour of the trails left by your sword

healer ascents to cleric (main heal/magic caster) /chanter (buffer/melle/support heal)
mage ascents to spiritmaster (alot of dots and a summon) / Sorcerer (dps nuke)
warrior to templare (heavy tank) / glady (light tank/dps)
scout (this class can become invisible, also transform itself to rocks and bushes, great ambush class) assassins (daggers brust dps) and rangers (archer, brust dps). for both of these if you survive first burst when you ambushed or w.e you can take them out easily.
1st off, dmg over the mobs head wouldnt be the dmg they deal, what doenst make sense, 2ndly, have you ever even played an MMO before? They all use that system.
I remember the King of MMo's the first one I played Ultima Online That game had a King boss which required more than 400 people to kill him and sometimes u still wipe.Aion by itself wont destroy Wow but aion isnt the only mmo coming out on 2009 fall begining of 2010 I really Think that Aion and Final Fantasy 14 online will destroy more than 8 mill of wow players.Only reason Wow got so popular was because there were no options of any other good mmo's when it came out.
I cant agree more, WoW slowly killed itself my making it increasingly easy as to where ppl with half a freaking brain could play and be endgame raiders. which completely sucked out the fun knowing ppl no where near as good as u reaped the same benefeits.

About Pve Wow Pve is shit , If some People think that Wow Pve required strategie you havent play big mmo's at all.
I played mage since december 2004 and then succumbed to arena by season 2. I am very tired of playing a mage in arena by season 6 and I have no hope of getting over 2k rating without a good priest and rogue on my server that are available. 2v2 is unbalanced and that's all I played. I hate wow and will never waste my time or money there again. Then you disagree with their Q&A and get permanently banned from their forums. They squelch dissenters.

You should have bought the game which came with Closed and Open beta keys which you could have used to get in and play for free over a small duration of time,Sadly,that is over

hehe try being an Australian. not only does no1 listen to us but we have no servers (so ping/latency is always a pain) and to top it of we usually have server down time during our peak play hours:(

I have been playing WoW for.... well a long time.
And i can honestly say, i played the beta of this and was blown away.
Now im not saying its better than wow although i think it is, but i really would advise the more grown up players of wow to move to this game right away.
Its more challenging and more fun!

There are raids and Dungeons (yes like instances in WoW) and raid bosses aswell with good loot, and group required places to complete alot of quests. All the WoW people, stop thinking that this is another 'Korean' grind fest that is fully Pvp orientated, CUZ ITS NOT, it also has a massive pve side to it. It is a beta for god's sake ofcourse they cant show the whole content straight away, just wait until it comes out and you'll change your mind, and definitely know it is better than WoW.

Umm... the mobs' skin should get a recolour as the green lizard/worm things dont really fit to this icy environment
And maybe the boss should be a bit tougher...

This is exactly the same. Boring and lacking PvE content. more singleplayer then mmo.

I play wow as a paladin Healer and I agree Aion looks really good the movements are great the look of the spells are awsome.
But what about the gameplay?even if you hate wow you have to admit there's a lot to do all the time with your character and people like me that heal in Ulduar Hard modes have to agree that you dont get bored and repetitive.
I'm just wondering if it will be the same in Aion.
and I hope the gameplay won't be the same as guild wars because that would be a waste.

Gameplay much more resembles WoW than Guild Wars.
I played WoW for 4 years (off and on) and I have to say I was so impressed by the last closed beta, I am definitely going to switch over to Aion for at least a while. It has refreshing gameplay.

Well, NCSoft (creators of Aion) are known from relasing "unfinished" products. Lineage is just example.
Aion lack endgame PvE and PvP content. There's no bosses using any king of spells or having some strategy - 1 tank, 1 healer, DPS, kill. No strategoc battlegrounds, no mounts.
If you liked WoW lore, witch is really great, yo wull really miss it playing Aion, because it simply had no lore. Just fight betewwn 2 races... Ye...
WHat about movement's it's 3D manga for me.

Animations dont look very smooth, and they look like they are "too much". Not impressed. This game will not rule the planet like WoW does.

I don't think WoW can be taken down by any other game. If anything WoW will ruin itself, but for now, WoW has far too much momentum to be worried about that.
Of course, this coming from someone who has never played WoW or hardly keeps up with news about it.
Just my thoughts. :)

when then clearly you havent played wow, if you would have you would know that wow is already heading to ruin because of the developers decision to listen to a few players, Because of this the game is grossly unbalanced and a huge amount of the player base will join aion before next year

uhh what? I've played WoW on and off since release, and I'll admit I am planning to go to Aion, but WoW is still growing. It's far from "heading to ruin." It has more subscriptions than ever before.

I think wow gonna die soon, maybe if Blizzards will release a new addon where game stategy will be the same like on lvl 60 or at least like in the BC it will get many players back. Was 3 yrs on wow, profi gamer PvE ... WotLK ruined wow, not so cool anymore, dont wanna play it at all, got boring.....damn.... but Aion gonna pwn ass=)

the animations run at an incredibly high framerate that owns WoW's shitty fps on the new version, and a lot of people like over-the-top awesome animations rather than the tiny range of movement that a WoW character can do, practically the only difference between melee attacks in WoW is the colour of the trails left by your sword

Yeah, i think its the priest that heals, from that you can choose 2 subclasses.
Elemental something, maybe its spiritmaster, where its mostly healing, and magic.
And then youll have Chanter where its magic, but mainly combat aswel.
Might be getting confused with mage :(

Well, it goes form priest to either Cleric(Healer) or Chanter.
Mage goes into either Sorcerer or Spiritmaster :P

Cleric is healer
Chanter is buffer + assist heals/melee dps
Spiritmaster is something like a warlock in wow

healer ascents to cleric (main heal/magic caster) /chanter (buffer/melle/support heal)
mage ascents to spiritmaster (alot of dots and a summon) / Sorcerer (dps nuke)
warrior to templare (heavy tank) / glady (light tank/dps)
scout (this class can become invisible, also transform itself to rocks and bushes, great ambush class) assassins (daggers brust dps) and rangers (archer, brust dps). for both of these if you survive first burst when you ambushed or w.e you can take them out easily.

1st off, dmg over the mobs head wouldnt be the dmg they deal, what doenst make sense, 2ndly, have you ever even played an MMO before? They all use that system.

I remember the King of MMo's the first one I played Ultima Online That game had a King boss which required more than 400 people to kill him and sometimes u still wipe.Aion by itself wont destroy Wow but aion isnt the only mmo coming out on 2009 fall begining of 2010 I really Think that Aion and Final Fantasy 14 online will destroy more than 8 mill of wow players.Only reason Wow got so popular was because there were no options of any other good mmo's when it came out.

I cant agree more, WoW slowly killed itself my making it increasingly easy as to where ppl with half a freaking brain could play and be endgame raiders. which completely sucked out the fun knowing ppl no where near as good as u reaped the same benefeits.
Between this and FF14 other mmos are gonna have to stress about losing fan bases these games are bringing to the table some new and very kick ass features

I played WoW since it started and yes from arena season 1 to arena s4 the game was the best pvp well balanced classes balanced a lot of skills and coordination required in arenas and such not anymore lich king destroy all that by using so much burst on classes dmg that even idiots can play it. About Pve Wow Pve is shit , If some People think that Wow Pve required strategie you havent play big mmo's at all.

I played mage since december 2004 and then succumbed to arena by season 2. I am very tired of playing a mage in arena by season 6 and I have no hope of getting over 2k rating without a good priest and rogue on my server that are available. 2v2 is unbalanced and that's all I played. I hate wow and will never waste my time or money there again. Then you disagree with their Q&A and get permanently banned from their forums. They squelch dissenters.
