@samth3mancgp go to h t t p://w w w. BrambletonSound. com if you want to hear that taylor swift cover. Honestly, the only bounced mix I have of the song is an MP3 because the band was only going to distribute it online. So what you hear on the website will be it lol. Personal message me with an e-mail address if you want me to send you the MP3 directly
@ReadyMadeMusic Probably due to the fact there is no CTRL-Z, punching in is much harder, Tape hiss, inferior frequency response etc. It does sound very cool however. It doesn't sound as "clean" as a digital recording for sure. I will probably be uploading an acoustic cover that I did of a Death Cab for Cutie song soon that was done on the TEAC 80-8 1/2" deck! =)
@gracified24 Peavey SRC-2400, to be sold on craigslist soon. The studio looks nothing like it does in this video now haha. Moved the mix position to where the drums are (in the vid), and added a whole bunch of bass traps, absorpers, and diffusors from GIK Acoustics, got a new guitar amp, sold those damn drums mics etc etc etc =)
@samth3mancgp How does the Peavey SRC-2400 compare to the M-Audio Project Mixer in terms of quality wise, preamps etc? I use Pro tools and currently running an Mbox 2 interface - was thinking about upgrading to something better. I suspect the Project Mixer would seem fit for me, but from what I hear in your video the Peavey SRC-2400 sounds pretty good if i'm not mistaken? I'd like to get that pro sound/quality similarly in your videos (LOL), but so far I'm not that really satisfy with my Mbox 2
@gracified24 the Peavey mixer and the ProjectMix are two entirely different pieces of gear. The ProjectMix is an audio interface/control surface for protools and everything it does happens inside of a computer digitally, whereas the Peavey is your typical mixer, geared more towards live sound. Not the best sounding board in the world, just lots of I/O. The mixer isn't going to make a difference in your sound though, good mic placement, room acoustics, and talent will get you better sound =)
