Okay dipshit ... SFB = Special Field Boot not Special Forces Boot. If you're going to write a review or do a video or even ponder the idea of opening your mouth to the word about a specific product, then at least know WTF it's name is!!
@SecurityHere I have to agree with you to some degree, but they are more of an urban special forces boot light and agile. Made for speed. I dont think they will last very long for any serious active duty unless in an urban environment.
@MrSchpankme Hey now, don't be so tough on the fellow. He knows it is tough because it is black and tacticool. Also, this man has a shoe collection. He doesn't wear them or use them the way you or I or working men do with our boots so for his purpose, these Nike boots will be perfect against carpet and front lawn.
@MrSchpankme I love them but i dont use them for any purpose that my life is at risk. So i am unable to speak for any one wanting to use them for service.
How close is the sizing? Do they run large or small or are the sizes comparable to those of issue boots? I like to replace my laces with 550 cord, would you recommend this for these boots? Thanks for the great review!
@OIFEagle for me the sizing was exactly the same as i normally buy nike shoes. If i had to say maybe a little on 1/4 size bigger but not noticeable. I bought mine one 1/2 size large so i could wear thick socks.
Nike is fancy shit product. I had their winter boots, that leaked same winter around jpint of soles and leather upper. Thats' the lesson for now on. Buy shoes of manufactures that mainly does it (like Garmont, Lowa, etc). Fuck Nike!
@TheGetintoit You can. It nhas to be thin enough to fit through the eyelets, and have the ends melted down so it doesn't fall apart, and you'd want to make sure you cut enough length for it to be enough to tie. If I remember correctly from some training and stuff I got, it'd probably last a while.
Do they have a shank in the sole? If yes what is it made of? If no, how well do these boots stand up to heavy load carry, do you get pains on your instep?
@deckan315 Good call , but i have been pushing them pretty good. Just got back from the range and so far all good. I dont know how they would hold up to full military duty but these things are build for speed and comfort. If i had to buy a new pair once every year i would not complain. My cousin is in the military and he likes his oakleys for the added ankle support. He was visiting from active duty and showed him the nike sfb's he will test them way better than i can.
@adamblacknow Hey.. it's been a while.. did your cousin ever test out those sfb's?.. Like i said before i won't be using them for military duty but i wan't to know how they hold up over time.
It's been three years since i have been out and i have never done anything that hardcore since...
@deckan315 He decided not to test them for duty. He is in love with his Oakleys.
Now that i have had these babies for a while. I can say I love them and am very very happy with the purchase. But cant give you any major stress data other than general use.
@adamblacknow I just txt him and to get his opinion on the Oakleys vs the Adidas since he used both and he said slight advantage to the the Adidas but he liked both.
Hey, I am looking to buy a good pair of duty boots, and I believe that the SFB's are what I am looking for. I just have one question - Can these boots be polished for a good shine?
@ryansilversimpson Ryan , There are three different materials, a leather material , rubber and the canvas. the top toe box , lower sides and heal are publishable no problem. If you where pants the publishable surface is really all you can see except for the rubber soles. Hope this helps.

I personally wouldn't use them for military duty but,
i would like to see if they have held up..
i bought some merrell chameleon stretch gore-tex $150. last year
for my job at lowe's.. I murdered them within two months..
concrete kills shoes. bad.
