Sega didn't release the final revision (Final Tuned) for VF4 after canceling ports of the game twice (PS2 and PSP). Everyone complained, wrote emails, and it never came out.
Now with VF5R we know that Sega of Japan has not even considered porting the game to consoles. SoJ employees have confirmed to multiple people on VFDC, including myself, that the game hasn't been even considered for a port. Sega of Europe brought up porting the game but it was shot down.
Xbox 360 got Version C of the orginial VF5, so maybe we'll get the Version C of this, or whatever the final version will be. Perhaps they're jst maximized arcade profits first before they release it on console
what do you think? how long is the lifespan of a fighting game? VF5R was already played at EVO, etc... has it run its course?
SCIV was released in North America July 2008 and was pretty much finished by the time Nationals and EVO came around this summer

VF5R was never at Evo... original VF5 was.

OK so do you think SEGA will go through with it? I signed the petition at their website. I don't play VF or live in Japan so I didn't know about EVO
