  • George Hearn and Len C were/still the better Todd's throughout these productions.

  • Sorry Angela Lansbury is still the best. But, Imelda beats Patti L anyday.

  • Wow Imelda is an amazing Lovett! Love her voice in this

Michael is pretty good in this too, but I think I like Hearn better. I'm just used to Sweeney's with slightly deeper voices I guess :P

  • I love how active the audience is!

  • Imelda I love you so frickin much. LEGEND.

  • I love Michael Ball... but I think Johnny Depp has a better raspy-ness as Sweeney Todd!

  • @TheMattBattersby no offence but johnny depp va never anywhere near Sweeney Todd's voice

  • I went to see this, was absolutely amazing :D both were so good. :D Really wanted to see it again :D

  • Have they slowed this down?

  • Gosh! Michael looks so different!

  • Oh my goodness.. Marius grew up and turned into Sweeney Todd!! D:

  • I reaaaallly , want this to return to Broadway! Michael & Imelda! Please come and reprise your roles! ><

  • is there anything of Michael Ball singing "My Friends" by any chance that you might have?

  • @TheJacksForAllTrades There are two clips of "My Friends" during this interview with Michael: /watch?v=YveffivAioA

  • @Sweeney541 thank you :)

  • Wish this would come to the USA. We've gotten so many "Harry Potter" actors on Broadway and we could use a few more!! :)

  • @PhantomDrums917 There are rumours of a Broadway transfer in 2013. Stephen Sondheim saw the production in Chichester and loved it. He apparently would like to bring it(and it's two stars) to NYC.

  • @sweeney541 aslong as it won't drown them out that's good news to me :)

  • i'm going to see this is march - so excidted!! Although if people drown them out with laughing i'm going to so disapointed!

  • @fireflyhiro People WILL be laughing - so will you I'm sure. But It's not drowning out Michael and Imelda IMO. You have to remember that recordings like this almost always distorts the sound to some degree.

  • Watched it in Chichester, was the best production I've ever seen. :)

  • Michael Ball sounds fantastic.

  • Tempo is slow.

  • @lcowles I haven't edited anything. It's exactly as it is in the show.

  • @Sweeney541 I wasn't assuming you did. It sounds like they need to pick up the tempo. The song is more fun that way and the jokes come off faster so the audience doesn't have time to anticipate the punchlines.

  • @lcowles I actually think tempo and comic timing is perfect here and on the whole show. Maybe you're thinking of the film, yeah, there they do it quicker, but I think it's boring there! Here it's funnier!

  • @lcowles I think it's better slower because you can hear Sondheim's hilariously witty lyrics more clearer ;) The music is still amazing though!

  • Oooh!! THANKS THANKS THANKS!! This is pure gold!! Could you upload more, maybe? PLEASE!! (And thanks again! This made my week!!)

  • Wonderful! Thank you very much! Can you put more?
